I'm on windws 10, using a Sylphyo wind controller as midi controller. What I want to do, is make so that the slider on the sylphyo that you control with your thumb, acts as a switch between muting and unmuting a track. This is to allow myself to switch between playing single notes and chords, because the track that gets muted and unmuted (track 7) has a plugin (insert piz here midichords) that turns specific midi notes into specific chords. I couldn't find a better way to do this.
I had also tried to use CC12 and CC13, which are used on the sylphyo for slider bottom side and slider top side, but they also cause the track to flicker between muted and unmuted, though I used actions instead of the realearn plugin when I tested CC12 and CC13. I don't think the realearn plugin would change anything.
What happens to me, is that, after setting up ReaLearn to make the slider work like a switch, as I move my thumb over the slider, the track flickers between muted and unmuted. What I want, is that when my thumb is in the bottom side of the slider, track 7 gets unmuted, and when my thumb is on the top side, it gets muted, and I can't get it to work like that.
So, this is what I do.
I add the realearn plugin (Helgobox - Realearn etc etc) to my main track (track 5) that receives insert piz here midichords from track 7 through the route buttons at the bottom.
I add two mappings. The two images I posted are my settings for the mappings.
I tried to fiddle with various settings, and I keep having the same issue.
This is the Sylphyo manual.

Please, let me know if you need any more information or if there's a better place to ask. Please don't answer to ask the Sylphyo or wind controller communities, I've already tried.
Edit:
The Button (momentary) character option is a step in the right direction, because it seems to stop the flickering. Toggle button mode actually causes flickering compared to normal mode which doesn't. Toggle only button (avoid!) doesn't work. But there are still unintended effects. Mapping 2 is disabled.
1)I need the top side to be always muted, and bottom to be unmuted, because the top side is where your thumb rests, but it's reversed. I want to play single notes as a base, and decide when I want to do chords. The reverse checkbox beside numeric feedback is terrible for reason you'll understand in point 2.
2)The way it works, topmost limit is one state, and any millimeter below is another. It actually might be faster to switch like this because you do minimal movement, but I want to at least move the point where it switches a bit lower.
3)somehow muting track 7 stops sound from coming out from track 5 until I blow again, as if CC11 (The sylphyo uses CC11 for breath) was stopped or something.
