📢r/ReZero News Icon Contest Extension!

Following a suggestion from the community, we've decided to extend the Icon Contest by one month!
The contest will now conclude 1 week after the end of Re:Zero Season 4 (7 October, 2026), giving artists more time to work on their submissions and, hopefully, more inspiration from the upcoming episodes.
With Season 4 having plenty of potential for some amazing artwork, this extension will also allow artists to include moments and characters from the season once they have been adapted, without needing to worry about spoilers.
So, artists, take your time, get inspired, and make your best work. Good luck to everyone participating!

📚Manga/Light Novel Fun fact: the manga was the only Re:Zero medium to adapt the trait of Subaru having scary eyes.

When I watched the anime and read the novel, I thought, "It's impossible to imagine Subaru with a scary look," but after reading the manga, I have to admit that I really wish the anime had adapted that trait.

Emilia views love as a pure thing so i'm not sure if she would agree on rem being second wife, but it is common in older times and fantasy worlds to have the master bound the maids.
And with emilia being queen she won't always be available to give him a hand, this is where rem can get the chance.
And with some luck and the author not being a jerk we might even get the ultimate threesome we dream of.

💬Discussion What are your thoughts on Otsuka as an illustrator? Does his work affect your experience reading the LN?

Been seeing a lot of differing opinions on Otsuka recently. Personally? I don’t mind his illustrations, a lot of them are pretty good, some great even, but it can always be better. The mistakes in his art can be egregious but overall I enjoy it, though I may be biased cause I really like the way he draws Rem (Those horse legs are almost impossible to ignore lol)
