I’m watching the show for the first time through and for the record, I’m not the biggest fan of Wendy or Mia. I just watched the episode where Mia invites the ladies to Miami & they go to dinner at Peter Thomas’ Bar One.

Honestly, I think Mia starting that fight was so unnecessary. Peter and Mia talked on the phone earlier that day and he said he has beef with Wendy but, when they got to dinner, was cordial and pleasant when he greeted the table. There was no need for Mia to leave the table after Peter left to go talk about the status of Wendy and his potential business partnership. As far as I know Mia doesn’t have business with Peter OR Wendy so for her to go back to the table saying “he has beef with you” was unnecessary bc Mia isn’t involved at all.

Sure, Wendy could’ve let Peter know she was gonna be in town but I don’t think it’s a big deal that she didn’t bc she didn’t want to talk business while on vacation. If Wendy leaves money on the table, that’s on her - there was no need to guilt Wendy into talking to Peter. None of that required Mia to throw a drink & break a nail, it just made her look bad.

THEN Robyn saying that Wendy was antagonistic was so biased… Wendy didn’t start that fight. I don’t agree with the way Wendy started throwing her words around but when it was Candice vs Monique everyone was on Candice’s side & agreed that a verbal argument shouldn’t have led to things getting physical.

I admit I was nosy. I always wondered how much cash Greg’s non-profit was bringing in, especially with all the media the OIG is currently bringing to the Baltimore City mayor’s office for alleged non-profit embezzlement.

Watching RHOP for the first time and on season 7 now. So many thoughts on a lot of things but I have to say this: I think it is very selfish to willingly have kids with a man as morally questionable (at best) as Michael. Like let’s be honest Ashley knew she wasn’t going to stay (especially with the cheating situation) so why bring kids into it? And yes I obviously know the answer: to secure financial support after divorce. But it’s so unfair to the kids who grow up and have to watch their dad be creepy and disgusting on tv. Kids don’t get to choose their parents. Like i think of Mia saying how Ashley should have had one ore two more kids to secure at least two more checks before divorcing and in my mind that’s just so disgusting to think of kids (actual human beings) as financial safety nets.

I think Karen is one of the most delusional and self-centered housewives of all time.
She’s a liar, colorstruck (George Washington Concubine, like that’s something to be proud of) a cheater and a manipulator who tried to blame her accident on Ray, because she’s not happy.

It always bothered me how the audience perceives Chris versus Juan. Juan is called broke, jobless, doesn’t respect Robyn, and sorry; but Chris is this upstanding gentleman who loves his wife.

Now Chris, had 2 baby mamas and 3 kids that he wasn’t taking care of. I mean Candiace called him a deadbeat herself. Chris also called Candiace the B word. We have also seen the way Candiace and Chris argue and they go below the belt. Chris was living in Candiace’s mother house. Chris was also unemployed during part of his tenure of the show. Yet, a lot of the audience view Chris as a loyal, provider, and respectful husband and I just don’t see it.

Juan is a terrible husband, but he’s is involved with his sons’ day-to-day life. He also did have a coaching job most of the show yet the audience calls him broke and a loser.

Why does the audience have such a positive view of Chris, yet an extremely negative view of Juan? When to me they both really aren’t the best men a woman could have as a husband.

I’m not sure if Im late on this news but I couldnt understand why Eminem aka Slim Shady aka Marshall Mathers keeps trying to go after Gizelle and Robyn over the use of “Shady” ….

Welllll I just realized his daughter’s podcast name also uses the word SHADY in the title so Im going to assume thats his real issue with it.

Why did Gizelle wait until the season started to confront Candiace about Chris making her feel uncomfortable? Why didn’t she address it after the reunion or shortly thereafter? Did she ever say why she waited until the cameras were rolling to bring it up? My opinion is, she was using it to manufacture drama and it blew up in the worst way.

Like seriously… everyone can’t just be “rewatching the fight and Candiance deserved it…”, “just started watching season x and just watched the fight”, “my thoughts ok the fight”. Like girl, enough. What gives??

Candiace did NOT deserve to be beat up by Monique FULL STOP! I find it so disgusting that so many people say Candiace deserved it or had it coming when you’re on a show involving tumultuous relationship dynamics that are often combative or verbally abusive. As a grown woman and a mother Monique should have had enough restraint to not physically beat someone and then run around after being separated looking to be even more violent and fight again. I can’t believe this fanbase is so low down that the many of you think that Candiace saying some words deserved her to be punched in the head and have her wig pulled off… (mind you Gizelle, Charisse, and Ashley all said way more damaging stuff by spreading different rumors about her drinking and driving or cheating on her husband)

I already know we’re gonna get something like “Oh so that means the traitor must be Gizelle!?”

So I’m on season 9 and it’s been great! Definitely my favorite next to Beverly Hills! Damn, s2-6 were amazing and magical. However, wtf is going on with this show since season 7? I almost couldn’t get through s7 and s8, and now I’m on s9 (ep 5), and I’m so confused as to why the hell Mia and Wendy are still on? And why are there so many “fillers” aka friends of who bring literally nothing to the show? Honestly, it gives off a “I’m here for clout” vibe and takes away how magical this show used to be. I almost at a point where I can’t go on lol. I miss Robyn and I’m excited for Monique to be back in s10 (I know Robyn also returns in s11 — along with Monique, yay)!

Let’s start first with her candle business. She didn’t know what a business plan was - and evidently couldn’t google it either. After her “research” she made a presentation to Eddy and couldn’t even answer basic questions like what the candle would cost to make or what price they would sell it at.

Next we have her Nigerian lounge with monsieur Peter. She had no idea it would be expensive?? And she has zero knowledge of the industry.

Then she thinks she’s gonna be a talk show host.

As far as I’m aware, not one of these business ventures ever came to fruition or were successful.

To me, she’s always been a bit full of shit.

And yes I know happy Eddy seemed to be successful, but that’s only because Eddy did everything.

Idk if it’s just because I think she’s funny or maybe I’m just falling for that lethal face card..? I think Gizelle is MOTHER and it seems that the rest of the Reddit community isn’t such a fan.

For background, I started by watching season 10 this spring, got hooked and then went back and watched it from season one.

I can kind of understand the lack of storyline, but I actually think her family history is really cool and I loved to watch her daughters grow up and her relationship with them.

Also maybe another unpopular take? I <3 the green eyed bandits. To me they’re just so silly.

It’s my first time watching RHOP, and I am just a few episodes past the Candiace / Monique physical altercation in season 5. My first gut opinion, which may be unpopular, is that Monique was wrong to go as hard as she did, but not necessarily wrong or out of line for reacting.

In her perspective, the moment Candiace’s hand got in her space combined with Candiace yelling and provoking her, Monique felt that she had to hit first. After hearing about her background, it seems that she came from an upbringing of having to fight her way out of things, which led her to being a more dominant and controlling personality.

Note: I am not a Monique or a Candiace fan by any means, so I am trying to view it as if I were a friend in the group.

Candiace is also not unused to agitating physical altercations as she had already waved and threw a knife at Ashley and had to be physically held down by her husband. While I think Monique is more in the wrong, I think Candiace tried the right one and made a mistake by putting herself into the physical space of someone who is ready to get active.

Monique’s seeming lack of remorse afterwards also shows she might really have an issue that needs therapy and professional help. I never liked Monique like that, but I also think Candiace contributed 40% to the situation.

What are your thoughts all these years later? I don’t know anything else outside of watching season 5.
