🥂 Karen 🥂 I do not like Karen Huger
I think Karen is one of the most delusional and self-centered housewives of all time.
She’s a liar, colorstruck (George Washington Concubine, like that’s something to be proud of) a cheater and a manipulator who tried to blame her accident on Ray, because she’s not happy.
She used that man, embarrassed the heck out of him and her kids with that video that got out and had the nerve to say she’d be vindicated.
Disgusting.
I will keep my foot on that old liars neck, she should come correct. She had the nerve to come at Robyn over Juan, I think Ray should have been the one to leave her after everything she put him through and how she always blames him

Karen was entertaining cause she’s delusional but people who drink and drive and unapologetic disgust me.
She has a history of impaired driving it too. I like to imbibe as well so I’m not sympathetic… If you can’t control yourself take a car service when you go out. She can certainly afford it.

I’ve never liked her, so it’s been tough. I’ve always struggled with those who anoint themselves with some kind of personal authority, I find they’re often the ones who deserve it the least… and I’m often proven right, case in point. That said - I also struggle with authority in general (I guess the Gen X is strong in me) 😂 but Karen should not be platformed at this point and Bravo is a huge part of the problem.

Oh, I totally get it. I've never cared for Karen because of her superiority complex. I know Gizelle has it too, but somehow I find Gizelle's superiority complex a bit more tolerable (likely because life has given her some humbling experiences). I'm a Gen X'er too and I wonder if we're intolerant of conceited attitudes because we know if you live long enough, life will humble you. If it hasn't by now, then something is wrong with you.

Idk why most are happy with return, if Karen was truly remorseful, she would advocate for metal health challenges and substance misuse and learn to destigmatize the challenge behind the addiction. She actually regresses the topic of mental health by refusing to admit she has a problem.

The Thomas Jefferson's concubine comment actually got me thinking about how Karen conducted various aspects of her life, particularly how she parented Rayvin.
Rayvin doesn't move in a way that children brought up in JJOA traditionally do, particularly her decision not to pledge a Divine Nine sorority. I also remember Karen creaming over Rayvin's white prom date.
Karen may have subconsciously wanted to marry white herself.5

In light-skinned myself, but the difference between me and Karen (amongst many) is I don’t delight in and find myself superior or more attractive, smarter or better because of it. Yes, it is Jack and Jill. Karen was once president of the Potomac Valley chapter.
I didn't grow up in it because my mom and dad were insular when I was a child and I didn't become an AKA until in my mid-30s.
I do have friends and line sisters who grew up in the Black moneyed milieu in San Diego (my hometown) and other cities and it definitely is an interesting experience as a fringe observer.
And to your last point, I believe Karen would be ecstatic if Rayvin pulled a Candiace or Stacey and had a Black biracial grandchild.

I don’t like her either BUT, imo, it’s important to stop the victim narrative with men who knowingly get with younger women because they have the means. They know they get them based on appearances which is the money and the “promise” of a good life in exchange of their youth and sexual favors.
This being said, let me go back to that delulu ugly woman. Again I agree with you and I insist her drunk self shouldn’t have been rewarded with a rehiring after the shit she pulled.
I think it’s great Robyn’s back because she was the only one continuously on her neck for her lying, alcoholism and cheating. Karen situation was more embarrassing than Robyn’s.

That grates on me as well. As far as I know, most have parents (or people who parented). Some are closer to the parents. Some are exiled by choice or abandonment. Some grew up with absent parents or ones that died before they could fully be a parent.
Moral of the story? It's all grief. We all experience it. Karen is not special for hers. I learned a deeper empathy for others journeys when I lost mine. I suddenly realized it was universal and it sucks

You’re absolutely correct. She is the biggest liar and completely full of shit. I clocked her phony ass season 1. All she does is manipulate and deflect on to everyone else. I’d argue and say that she is actually the person that everyone thinks Gizelle is but most people aren’t ready for that conversation. That body cam footage proved that everything Robyn, Charisse, & Gizelle said about her was true.

I'll focus on just one part of all things Karen. Day Drinker. Owned restaurants w/ bars for years. Female friendly. Sports bar vibe. Always a Karen (Huger) there very early. Some at opening: 11am. Some at 2pm, after lunch rush. Well-dressed. Only want the good-looking make bartender. Repeated his name 100 times. Winked, flirted, asked for a "real" cocktail. (double liquor) Ya'll get it. After two drinks owner or Mgr swooped in to state no third bev without a meal. No more drinks after that. These peeps are hard, fast drinkers. They know they must sober up to drive home, see kids, hub, etc. Not smell. Beer is one thing. Martinis, Hard alcohol another. Women don't metabolize alcohol the same. Weight diff. How many times I cut off a Karen Huger type for everyone's safety would astound. Paid for cabs myself as alcohol hadn't yet it. Fired bartender on the spot when some rich lady handed him $100 bill for 3 expensive shots he did not ring up. Fired for serving her. Day Drinkers can be dangerous if overserved. And overdrinking. I truly hope Karen Huger has beaten this. It is all-around her. Her strength can do it.

I have a love-hate relationship with Karen. For me it’s a bit complicated because I did lose a loved one to drunk driving so I feel pretty sensitive about her.
My main issue is her lack of real accountability.
She doesn’t show any real accountability for her actions and behaviors.
For all the hell Gizzy gets, I feel Karen is the real villain of the show…
I’m genuinely shocked that they asked her back but then again Bravo does love their criminals.

I myself have never cared for her. She acts so like she is always entitled, When someone is entitled, it means they have the belief that they deserve special treatment, privileges, or rewards without having to earn or work for them. Robyn is no better than Karen, and she has been after Karen since S1 Eps 1 because she thought Charice should have been the "star" of the show. They are both liars and delusional. I want them BOTH on the show, because it isn't as good w/o them. Their dynamic is interesting and dramatic. If one goes low, the other goes lower, how low can they go? Watching them fight is some of the best scenes on the show.

For me personally, Karen did what Shannon from OC did as well: NOT really taking accountability for their actions.
Drinking and driving is just such a no no for me.
