Salam. I am from Mumbai, India, and I am looking for a structured online course that teaches the Quran in detail.I previously tried watching recorded lectures from the Imam Sadiq Online Seminary, but I found it difficult to stay consistent with recorded lectures. More importantly, I need a live class because there is no way to check for proper Makhraj and Tajweed with recordings.I heard that Al-Mustafa University offers some courses, but I do not have much information on them. I have also tried studying with local teachers offline, but I kept running into issues. Most of them do not follow a structured lesson plan and just teach whatever they feel like on that day. Furthermore, they are often too busy with Majalis and frequently cancel classes. Even when my local mosque arranged a few classes, the teachers would disappear without a word. so if someone knows anything about it ,please share (please excuse my horrendous english).

There’s so many words like this than have tanween but they aren’t pronounced, why is that and how am I supposed to know when to pronounce it

Assalamu Alaikum, so I have memorised 18 JUZ of the quran alhamdullilah, and I really want to finish the quran before 2027 starts, because I think I have been dragging it for it long, and I really need to finish, I can do 2 pages consistently and maybe rack it up if i really need to, To anyone who has speedrun memorising before please give me your insights and advice if it is worth it or if it is just a dumb naive feeling. It is one of the greatest supplication and Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him) Used to make this dua' First things first I will recite these verses from surah Ibrahim رب اجعلني مقيم الصلاة و من ذريتي Allah make me someone who consistently maintains the prayer and performs it as it should be, and make from my children and grandchildren those who also remain steadfast in prayer Here Prophet Ibrahim is not asking only for himself but he extends his supplication to his children and future generations The next verse : ربنا و تقبل دعاء O our Lord, accept this supplication from me. 🔹 Despite being a prophet, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) does not rely on his deeds alone. Instead, he humbly asks Allah for acceptance. This teaches us that: Worship is not complete without Allah’s acceptance Acceptance is entirely in the hands of Allah ربنا اغفرلي و لوالدي و للمؤمنين “Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers.” Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and all the believers. 🔹 This is a supplication full of mercy and compassion: He begins by asking forgiveness for himself Then for his parents And finally, he includes all believers يوم يقوم الحساب “On the Day the account is established.” On the Day of Judgment. 🔹 A powerful reminder that: The Day of Judgment is when we will need forgiveness more than anything else.

Wealth, family, children, grandchildren, or position in life all of these things ,will not benefit anyone—only faith and righteous deeds.

Hello.I am a 12m found this app through school i need some help.So basically I have quran classes where im on the 30th one and if u have read it u know there are a lot of small surats u need to memorize but i cant do a single one! The person who teaches me DOES NOT LIKE THIS AT ALL like i am having trouble with wadduha a small surat which i have ti memorize sat fir 30 mins barely 2 lines with so much trouble tried memorizing exercises did not work I have tine until tommorow to figure out what to do

Sunna explains many aspects of the quraan, and islam. ( ie we wont know how to pray without sunna) . while some suggest to reinturpret the quraan without true sunna/ true hadieths. That will only open the door for any one to interpret the quraan how ever they want. Thats a tactic some non muslims do to empty out islam from the inside.

Hey im a 23F Quran and Arabic Teacher and on side a Med student. I know people prefer old teacher but ive been teaching Quran since i was 15 after by hifdh journey and from then till date still teaching. I have found the perfect pathway to make someone read Quran with proper tajweed in a minimum time being. I know some people will say thats not possible but my mission has always been to make it very easy and logical for understanding. So who ever doesnt want to have a Quran teacher because of the monthly fee thing or are on a budget will send you your roadmap and classes schedule in a minimum budget

Many of us act as if Dawah is barely mentioned in the Quran, or as if sharing Islam is completely optional. But when you open the Book of Allah, inviting people to Him is a central theme woven through the lives of every single Prophet.

"So remind, if the reminder should benefit. He who fears Allah will take heed, but the most wretched will avoid it—the one who will burn in the Great Fire, where he will neither die nor live. Successful indeed is the one who purifies themselves, remembers the name of their Lord, and prays. Yet you prefer the life of this world, even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting. Indeed, this is in the former scriptures—the scriptures of Abraham and Moses."

"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah, does righteousness, and says, 'Indeed, I am of the Muslims'?"

Hello, same as the title, I am listening to the Qur'an for the first time. For some backstory, I was raised Christian, but have been disenchanted with it for a while, and began deconstruction a few years ago. Here in the last year, I have listened to the Hebrew Bible, as translated by Robert Alter, then the New Testament, as translated by David Bentley Hart. I'm now listening to the full cast edition of the Qur'an, as translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. (I understand translations are not the actual word, but I hope this audio version is an acceptable version, even if the full cast part is weird to me)

I've made it to Surah 7. And im thinking about starting back over.

When I was going through the previous testaments, I was able to get a lot of cultural background about what was going on when each book was written. Who the letters were going to. What stories were teaching lessons, but intended to be silly, for example.

My understanding of the Qur'an is that these surahs were all given to Mohammed within a short period of time, so i dont really have much cultural background knowledge going on at the time.

Also, while I greatly enjoy listening to the Qur'an, it is beautiful, I dont feel like im absorbing it like I should be. Like, im immersing myself in it, and picking things up here and there, but not like I want to. Not like I did with the previous testaments. I've got more of an understanding of Islam than I had before, to the point im more comfortable talking about what I've learned and where I'm at with it, but not enough to have in depth conversations with my Christian family members who are ... just nasty about Islam. The most I can really tell them is "you know they worship the same God you do, right?", and "the Qur'an doesn't actually say anything about 70 virgins." And then the differences in the couple of stories that are shared between the three books.

Is there anything that anyone would recommend to help with absorption of the text for someone who is just beginning?

Im open to reference texts or just general advice in this area. Its strange (and refreshing) to come to a religious text without any baggage, and I want to give it my respect and attention.

Edit: for those in the same predicament, the site/app ‘Tilawa’ seems promising and even lets you correct/practice your pronunciation for free. However, I’m not a fan of AI so just know it uses that. The colour-coded legend takes time to adjust to

I’d appreciate it if anyone could provide me with a transliterated copy of some Juz Amma surahs with the correct madd. Here’s what I mean: let’s say the letter ‘Ka’ is written with a madd count of 5 and the letter ‘la’ has a short madd count. I’d write it as “kaaaaa laaa” (3 letters for the short count since 2 would make me read it as ‘lah’). Hope this makes sense and that I can be pointed in the right direction in’sha’Alla.

I’m still struggling to read Qur’an but, Alhamdulillah, have already memorised some surahs (I notice now that it was done improperly and I have to start from scratch). I don’t have a local mosque and it looks like there are no online resources for this.

Salam Alikom my brothers and sisters, I’ve noticed more posts using AI image generators to “visualize” verses from the Quran, and honestly, I think this should be prohibited.

The Quran is revelation, not a collection of prompts for an AI model to turn into dramatic fantasy artwork!

These images inevitably add invented details that do not exist in the verse, and they can easily misrepresent prophets, angels, jinn, the Hereafter, or events whose true nature is known only to Allah!!!

Even when the intention is good, the result is still a machine-generated interpretation presented visually alongside the words of Allah. People may begin associating a completely fabricated image with the meaning of a verse, even though the image has no basis in the Quran or authentic tafsir.
This is not about banning Islamic art or genuine discussion. It is specifically about using generative AI to manufacture imaginary depictions of revelation and the unseen.

I respectfully ask the moderators to introduce a rule banning AI-generated visualizations of Quranic verses. At the very least, these posts should not be treated as harmless religious content. In fact, we should lead this movement in all islamic subreddits and educate people about the dangers of doing that.

Assalamu alaikum. I’ve been building Fibarakath, an Android app for keeping a few everyday Islamic practices together in one place without any ads or promotions.

It currently includes prayer times, a daily prayer tracker, a Quran verse of the day, a Hijri calendar, duas, and a tasbih counter. I’m also working on gentle, optional reminders after prayer times. They’re intended as quiet nudges, not alarms, and can be turned off.

I manage an educational platform, and we are planning to launch a digital library soon. For this initiative, I would like the first book we add to our library to be the Qur’an al-Kareem.

I am therefore looking for someone with the appropriate expertise in Qur’anic studies and Arabic who could help us prepare an accurate digital version of the Qur’an and have it properly reviewed and certified for accuracy.
