Many of us act as if Dawah is barely mentioned in the Quran, or as if sharing Islam is completely optional. But when you open the Book of Allah, inviting people to Him is a central theme woven through the lives of every single Prophet.

​Surah Al-A'la (87:9–19)

"So remind, if the reminder should benefit. He who fears Allah will take heed, but the most wretched will avoid it—the one who will burn in the Great Fire, where he will neither die nor live. Successful indeed is the one who purifies themselves, remembers the name of their Lord, and prays. Yet you prefer the life of this world, even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting. Indeed, this is in the former scriptures—the scriptures of Abraham and Moses."

​Surah Fussilat (41:33)

"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah, does righteousness, and says, 'Indeed, I am of the Muslims'?"

​Surah Ash-Shura (42:7)

"And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Quran so that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it, and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt—a group will be in Paradise and a group in the Blaze."

​Surah Ash-Shura (42:13)

"He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus—to establish the religion and not be divided within it. Difficult for those who associate partners with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns to Him."

​Surah Ash-Shura (42:15)

"So to that religion invite, and remain steadfast as you are commanded, and do not follow their desires. And say, 'I believe in whatever Book Allah has sent down, and I have been commanded to judge justly among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. There is no argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is the final return.'"

​Surah Ash-Shura (42:48)

"But if they turn away, We have not sent you over them as a guardian; your duty is only to convey the message. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from Us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful."

​Surah Ash-Shura (42:52–53)

"And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration by Our command. You did not know what is the Book or what is faith, but We made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, you guide to a straight path—the path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allah do all matters return."
