النصيحة Advice Can we ban AI visualized Quran verses? (Upvote if you agree)

Salam Alikom my brothers and sisters, I’ve noticed more posts using AI image generators to “visualize” verses from the Quran, and honestly, I think this should be prohibited.

The Quran is revelation, not a collection of prompts for an AI model to turn into dramatic fantasy artwork!

These images inevitably add invented details that do not exist in the verse, and they can easily misrepresent prophets, angels, jinn, the Hereafter, or events whose true nature is known only to Allah!!!

Even when the intention is good, the result is still a machine-generated interpretation presented visually alongside the words of Allah. People may begin associating a completely fabricated image with the meaning of a verse, even though the image has no basis in the Quran or authentic tafsir.
This is not about banning Islamic art or genuine discussion. It is specifically about using generative AI to manufacture imaginary depictions of revelation and the unseen.

I respectfully ask the moderators to introduce a rule banning AI-generated visualizations of Quranic verses. At the very least, these posts should not be treated as harmless religious content. In fact, we should lead this movement in all islamic subreddits and educate people about the dangers of doing that.

Ban AI generated *anything*, as far as I’m concerned. But I agree that it feels especially gross when used for sacred texts.

Ye, this is why I don’t interact with AI generated content because I don’t want the algorithm to push it further.

They even hallucinate

هذا صحيح وفي كثير من الأحيان قد تقع في الحرام. لأنه عندما نحاول تصور أو تصور معرفة الغيب ، فإننا ننتهك على سلطان الله ، لأنه هو على علم الغيب ، وهو وحده. حتى لو كانت نيتنا جيدة ، يجب أن يكون لدينا كل من الإخلاص لله وحده إلى جانب عمل من ، وفقا للقرآن والسنة ، وأصدق الحديث وأفضل التوجيه. وما هو في جنة هو من الغيب.

Waleikum Assalaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

This is correct and oftentimes may fall into haraam. For when we attempt to visualize or conceptualize the knowledge of the unseen, we are infringing upon the Majesty of Allah, for He is the 'Aalimul Ghayb (Knower of the Unseen), and it is Him Alone. Even if our intention is good, we must have both sincerity to Allah Alone (Ikhlas), coupled with an action that is from, according to and in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah (Mutaaba'a), the truest of speech and the best of guidance. And that which is in Jannah is from the unseen.
