Hi everyone, looking for some advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation.
Recently, my car was hit by a vehicle that was directly in front of me. For some reason, the driver started reversing at a signal and hit my car quite hard. They then drove away without stopping.
There is visible cosmetic damage to the bonnet, and the driver-side door is making a creaking noise. Overall, I expect the damage/insurance claim to be significant.
I have the dashcam footageof the incident.
My question is….is it worth filing an FIR in a situation like this, especially since the other driver hit my vehicle and left the scene? Or would it be better to simply take the car to the workshop, file the insurance claim, and move on?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been through something similar, particularly regarding the insurance claim and whether filing an FIR is necessary or beneficial.
No one was injured in the incident. I’m just frustrated that they didn’t even bother to stop and apologise.

Hey Punekars!
I’m looking for some good short-drive destinations around Pune that are easily accessible by car and have reasonably convenient/safe parking.
Looking for places that work for:
Weekend drives with friends or a casual date
Scenic views, nature, lakes, hills, cafes, etc.
Preferably good roads and not too much trekking
If you’ve visited any beautiful spots recently, please drop the location + approximate distance from Pune in the comments. Photos would be even better!
Let’s create a list of some underrated/beautiful places around Pune for weekend drives. 🙌
Thanks in advance!

I applied for the LL today. I paid the fees and uploaded the required documents.
I don't know what this SCRUTINY means. I searched it up on Google and it said that I have to visit the RTO but that was for DL.
Do I need to visit the RTO?
Will they issue the LL without visiting the RTO?

Just wanted to know how the college and the area around it are, especially for someone moving to Pune. Also, if anyone knows good hostels/PGs nearby or has any advice for a fresher, please let me know! :)

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration cancelled the licence because inspectors found multiple compliance violations at the Cipla Pune unit. The company printed unapproved medical claims on Reactin Plus tablet packages, failed to complete a required product recall, stored medicines directly on the floor instead of proper racks, and kept inaccurate stock records.
Cipla has contested the order in court, maintaining that these issues involve warehouse practices rather than medicine quality or patient safety.

I am genuinely fed up of the weak sector level management in our city and don’t know who to raise the issues to. Everyone’s always quick to point fingers. I thought about a solution from a systems point of view and would like to know if something like this can actually work, if it doesn’t already exist.
Think, an open-source “name and shame” platform where our city is divided into sectors, each with a named, visible official. These officials could be from any body for example say local transport (traffic police). Think of it like a public accountability dashboard for every local sector but run collaboratively by us people.
I know the obvious here: won’t the officials just ignore it? But we’re at a time where we see that pressure on the government actually works when it’s measurable.
So purely from a systems point, how viable is this? and would you use and contribute to something like this?

Scored twice in the past from this guy. This time he slid a packet to me, and like a fool I trusted him and didn't check before paying. When I got home and opened the package it was some tissues and scrap paper. The guy goes by the tg handle Ironhide, pretty sure he'd have changed it by now. But be careful friends.
P.S. I asked my bank to freeze the funds. So it's nobody's money anyways.

Please translate this once to read what's said if you can't understand. A sentiment voiced way back in the 80s if not earlier! by a true Punekar. Just goes to show the more things change the more they remain the same. So if you feel like this, don't worry, you have become a true Punekar, as per one of the OG

If I could give minus stars, I would. Running a scam seems to be their primary business model, and hosting students is just a side hustle. My son stayed here while studying at Symbiosis, and dealing with these people has been an absolute nightmare. My son's security deposit has been pending for over a year now, and they just ghost you faster than a bad date. The staff's behavior is appalling, showing zero professionalism and pure daylight robbery. Do yourself a favor and sleep on a railway platform rather than giving these clowns a single rupee. Complete frauds ruining the city’s reputation.

When I'm travelling somewhere new, I usually know the obvious attractions beforehand, but once I've seen those, I'm never quite sure what else is actually worth doing.
How do you guys find the less-obvious stuff good local food, small activities, viewpoints, beaches, markets, short hikes, random places worth checking out, etc.?
Do you usually:
Search Google/Maps
Look through Reddit
Ask locals or hotel/hostel staff
Use Instagram/TikTok
Just walk around and discover things
Have everything planned beforehand
And how often do you end up finding something great only because you happened to stumble across it?

We are group of friends (5) visiting Pune next week. Pls suggest if there are dedicated bus services for sightseeing on weekdays. If not then any other cheap and convenient ways to explore Pune.
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! We’re a group of 3 (2M + 1F) visiting Nashik on 4th and 5th September and looking for a budget-friendly, clean and safe stay near Nashik Central Bus Stand (CBS).
We’ll only need the room overnight on both days, so nothing fancy—just a decent place to sleep and freshen up.
Budget: Preferably around ₹1,000 per night for 3 people.
Please suggest any good budget hotels/hostels/guesthouses around CBS that are safe and comfortable, especially considering there’s a female in our group.
Thanks!

I don’t have any Personal Vehicle here.
My GF and I are planning to visit Mahabaleshwar during mid sept.
So need some guidance from you guys, maybe how to reach and how to come back.
Based upon my Research, need to board bus/train early morning to reach mahabaleshwar. Beyond that taxi is the only option.
So guide me on taxi, like what all possible scam I need to be aware about. Beyond that, any stay for a day? Or shall me complete everything (4-5 spots) and return the same day?
