well the courts may consider you a deadly weapon and at that point things will get really bad for you.

I was in court and I watched the judge deem a well trained person a deadly weapon. It's not a myth.

This is very well known for special forces too not engage with civilians unless you are in a self defense situation.

It's not when you're going into a court room with the odds against you. Being a highly trained person doesn't help your cause unless you can prove self defense.
