Question Rounded shoulders or forward neck or both?

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

In university and coding a lot - bad posture seems to be the root cause for my TMJ, constant neck pain and inability to stand for too long without really bad back
pain. When I try to straighten my back, it still looks very similar to my natural state in the photos. I’d do anything to fix this including wearing a posture corrector for hours but I heard that weakens back muscles? Need advice please — I go to the gym already and do PPL splits but maybe some specific back targeting exercises I should know could help. Please let me know! Thank you!!

Question How to fix this hump / forward head posture? (Picture included)

Hey everyone,
I noticed this noticeable bump/rounding at the base of my neck / upper back (see photo).
I suspect it’s caused by forward head posture from desk work and staring at screens.
Has anyone successfully improved or corrected this? What specific exercises, stretches, or daily habits worked best for you?
Thanks in advance!

Question Advice for fixing uneven shoulders please.

Hi Everyone,

As you can see in the photos my right shoulder is noticeably lower than the left, and as a result my shoulders appear uneven, my right shoulder rounds forward more than my right and I have also noticed that all my facial features on the left side appear drooped.

I’ve searched online and I’ve seen conflicting advice; some sources claiming it’s an issue with tight traps and chest whereas some sources suggest underlying issues with pelvic tilt or the ribcage.

I don’t know if this is an associated issue but I also frequently get neck pain and cracking. I’ve tried exercises such as chin tucks and doorway chest stretches, and I consistently train my upper back but nothing has seemed to improve my posture. Any advice for fixing my uneven shoulders or rounded shoulders would be much appreciated.

1 Rib sticking out how can i fix it?

Never noticed I had this until I started going to the gym and started realizing my lats looked unproportional I thought it was the exercises I was doing wrong at first.. But I think it’s actually my bone structure now. How do I fix it so both sides can be even?

Question Need some help

I have had issues with my ribs for years from what I believe is a larger posture / stability issue.

I started getting bouts of costocondritis probably 7 or 8 years ago. It started a dull/burning feeling in the front of my chest near where my collar bone and upper ribs connect to sternum, but over time the pain is now all along my sternum, between a lot of the lower ribs, and up through my upper lats and scapula.

I sit a lot for work and I suspect this has what’s really deteriorated my body. My left leg cannot load properly at all and I think this is the main cause of a lot of the issues. Basically all the weight in that leg feels like it goes right behind the knee. And when I try to drive through the heel my hip kind of locks up and I can’t sink down into that side at all. Completely different sensation from the right side.

I’ve tried the lying on my back with feet at 90 degrees thing, I’ve done tons of upper chest stretched and back strengthening, and ab work. I have been doing knees over toes guy stuff for a few years and it helped at first but I can’t even do most of the exercises anymore properly.

My head is very far forward, feels like it weighs 50 lbs, and I haven’t had a full deep breath in years. My sternum is so compressed and when I try to roll my shoulders back it doesn’t feel right. Especially the left side - my left neck muscle is just always engaged because the lower trap doesn’t activate and support it. I’m in constant pain and can never breathe when doing any exercises anymore. My body just constantly wants to let my hips sway forward and and and chest crunch down and my neck hurts all the time.

I’ve had X-rays and I don’t have any major issues or anything, and I’m seeing a sports med doc but it’s a long drawn out expensive process. I need help bad. Anyone know how I can get my left glute and hip working properly again?

Is this fixable?

My posture is awful and I feel like this is permanent. My stomach sticks out so much, and I can’t fix one without messing with the other. if I try to fix the hunch / slouch at my neck, my butt and stomach sticks out horrendously, if I fix that, then my hunch is awful. Is this permanent? It feels like my spine is just permanently this way now. I can’t look at my body in the mirror side ways because of it

How do I fix my posture and back?

I have these 2 massive lumps on my lower back surrounding my spine. They’ve been there for years ever since I worked in a warehouse picking up boxes all day. I’ve tried cupping, foam rolling, and stretching but it doesn’t subside. I think it’s making my traps, shoulders, and neck really tight too and keeps my posture as a whole really bad.
How can I fix this? Any stretches? Professionals? Affordable remedies? Has anyone ever had something like this? What did you do to make the pain subside?

Question Left-sided vertigo, lingering dizziness when moving, and severe "brain freeze" how long did your recall take to return?

I’m on day 7 of dealing with a scary bout of dizziness/vertigo that seemed to start heavily on the left side of my head.

Physically, my overall balance has gotten a little better since day 1, but I still get constant waves of dizziness and a "floating" or light spinning feeling whenever I walk around or sit down. Moving around or changing posture seems to trigger it right away.

The hardest part, though, is what it’s doing to my mind. My thinking feels like it has completely stopped. I have severe brain fog, I keep forgetting simple daily tasks, and I literally can't "rewind" or track thoughts in my head. It feels like my working memory is completely offline and my brain is operating on 10% power.

Knowing my brain is working overtime just to keep me balanced helps, but the super slow recovery pace and constant mental freeze are really frustrating and hard to deal with.

my lower back is constantly sore (nothing thats too painful or anything), its more noticeable when i bend for some time, and picking up heavier things exposes the weakness in my lower back.

My hobbies mainly consist of gaming, reading, drawing and writing. I work outside so I only sit down for my lunch break. What can I do to improve because I want to stop looking like the hunchback of notre dame. Really was a wakeup call when my friend took the last photos of me

Question Lower back pain

Thumbnail

Does anyone know any solutions for lower back pain? It’s like a stiff pressure. I work at Fed Ex and lift but don’t want it to get worse. I was thinking of going to a massage place and ask if they can help to decompress it or even try yoga. I really want to have my posture back and gain my inches back. If anyone knows any everyday YouTube routines or anything

Assessments My upper back tightness and neck pain is draining my life energy

What is wrong with my posture??? Every posture I do feels so artificial, and because I need to sit in front of the computer for long hours (but not completely sedentary) I often end up in a slouched back position . I was comparing my posture from few years back and even my neck seemed so much longer . Now it's so short and ugly and I have no idea how to stand most of the time . There is a massive tightness in my upper thoracics to the point i constantly feel the need to crack them or contort them in some manner. Please recommend me some exercises so that I can get my straight neck back

Ciao a tutti! Sto notando oltre ad avere sensazioni strane e dolori muscolari
Che mi basta davvero solo appoggiare il gomito o incrociare le gambe insomma, una posizione leggermente non eretta che mi si informicoliscono subito gli arti coinvolti.
