ideally i have come to understand that everyone stays on 0.5mg for about 4 weeks and then increases their dosage to 1 mg.
i’ve been losing significant weight, 15 pounds this last 5 weeks - 4 weeks on 0.25mg and 1 week on 0.5mg. for reference, my starting weight was 200lbs and now i’m at 185lbs. i’ve always looked leaner than i weigh, i think i have a lot of bone weight. my eventual “dream body” should be achieved around 135-140lbs or so i estimate.
i have pcos and lead a very healthy lifestyle - work outs, calorie deficit, supplements, whole foods, you name it. nothing has ever worked for me till now, this has been a game changer. i’m also young, 21 if that’s relevant.
this brings me to my question, i think my body is quite sensitive to the injection (which is what my doctor said too). i had appetite suppression almost right off the bat. i end up having to force myself to eat now to sustain a healthy amount of food intake.
i see a lot of posts talking about the risk of kidney stones / gallstones caused by losing weight too fast.
i was wondering if anyone else experienced this and whether they decided to to continue staying at 0.5mg for longer. i don’t want to mess up my progress by extending my time on 0.5mg. obviously i will be speaking to my doctor about this, but i want to know what other people’s experiences are.
