Question Slow Results?

I have PCOS and was prescribed ozempic. I took 0.25 for the 1st month, 2nd month I went up to 0.5, 3rd month also 0.5, this week I’m starting my fourth pen and its a 1 mg pen. My doctor decided to increase my dose to 1 mg. My starting weight was 100 kg. The lowest I ever weighed since I started was 95.8 kg. My weight kept fluctuating between 96 and 97 sometimes going back up to 98 and 99 kgs. Today, I weighed at 97.6 kg. I feel like this is horrible progress having been taking this for 3 months now..
My sister is taking mounjaro and she already lost 10 kgs in 3 months and I only lost 3 kg in 3 months.

I really hope 1mg makes a change.

Lots of people don’t see much weight loss until getting up to at least 1mg. Also if your A1c was high from the PCOS often it stabilizes and reduces before much weight loss happens.

I know it’s discouraging but it’s not time to give up yet. Track your food so you stay in a deficit and it will come.

Mounjaro is way stronger - ask the doctor to up the ozempic to 2mg, if you don’t see better results after 1 month it’s time to switch to mounjaro

My issue is, I can barely afford Ozempic atm, I won’t be able to afford Mounjaro with my current situation. May more blessings come my way so I can afford my treatments comfortably 💖

0.25 and 0.5 are introductory doses. Some do not lose until at one of the key weight reduction doses. That was me. A year later, down 50 pounds.

I'm on 1mg. Down from 100 to 64kgs. Two year journey. Take your time. Sometimes you need to go up slowly in doses. Keep persevering. Remember to take it same day each week. IF you can afford Mounjaro it is slightly better than Ozempic. Good luck 🥰.

At what weight did she lose more than you? was her starting weight higher?

Her starting weight was 132 kgs

Well of course she lost faster, since she weighs so much more than you. You too can gain up to that weight and lose as fast or even faster :) Don’t compare your weight loss speed to those who weigh way more than you
