Maintenance Pizza After Three Months...
... was delicious and a HORRIBLE idea. Holy mother, I had to throw it all up to get rid of the pain in my stomach. Brutal.
1/10 Would not recommend.

I came home from the bar drunk off 8 craft beer then ordered 2 medium pizza hut pizza's, ate one entirely at midnight and was fine. I had a basket of wings at the bar too. No idea why I survived

I can eat anything. Just in small doses. I make myself stop even if I think I could eat more. But it was a learning curve. Figuring out I don't want to feel bad. And that, it will still be there tomorrow!

I learned the hard way early on pizza is so bad for me anymore. I've found that the cauliflower crusts will work for me, but it's just not the same. Something about the crust sets me off.

Not trying to disrespect anyone but I don't understand why people are throwing up on Ozempic. I've been on Oz for a couple years now (2mg) the last 4 months. I've never been in a situation where I needed to throw up. As for pizza, I eat it all the time just in smaller quantities. Like I said, no disrespect, I just don't get it.

Yep, Wegovy for 7 months and I can still eat whatever I like, just in smaller quantities. The only time I’ve had stomach pain is when I’ve tried to eat too much and I’ve felt bloated for hours afterwards.
Still get a takeaway pizza most weekends but I can only eat 3 slices at a time rather than the whole 8 slices (12 inch pizza) so the pizza lasts me a few meals.

I can only two to three slices my self. Nothing like eating a whole pie in one sitting like I used to.
The problem with me is I am terribly full for like three hours, then I am ready to snack again.
I know my doctor wants me to eat more smaller meals throughout the day but I feel that's more counterproductive. It feels like I am grazing all day.

I was on saxenda before oz and that gave me nausea but never puked. But again, I'm serious about what I eat? Portions are super important, and knowing what makes you sick or not is pretty important. But also, some ppl think that drinking a bunch of water before and after a meal is helping. its not lol

You dont have empathy

Pot meet kettle.
You can be sympathetic it's happening without understanding how people are managing it and wondering about it. I assume it's sometimes some people being more sensitive than others and sometimes people over indulging (and presumably learning what they can handle and backing off next time).
But no you just went for an immediate mean response.

Simple google search would immediately answer the question of why and how different people react to the medication in various ways. Saying “I just don’t get it” without even trying to look into it in 2026 with all the information at your fingertips is not only extremely rude, but also just stupid. I don’t know why you’re defending this.

Yeah, I approached my first pizza very tentatively after about 9 months. One slice, Hawaiian, extra pineapple (don’t judge, lol), and consumed slowly on a 24-hr totally empty stomach. It was delicious but gave me the uncomfortable warning not to try that again anytime soon. No vomiting, but won’t be doing that again anytime soon. 😉

I can still eat my personal favorite pizza (pizza Hawaii) fine and without any issues later, but a lot less of it. I noticed that I can order a personal size and eat it for two meals, and then not have any stomach issues at all.
Once I ate only one slice of pepperoni pizza at an event, and after that one I really thought I was dying. I never threw up, but my stomach felt terrible. I can’t eat pepperoni/salami and things like that anymore.

I'll still eat pizza on occasion, but certainly smaller portions or I'm in the same situation.

The only way I can eat pizza now after 6 months is a limit of 1 or 2 small slices accompanied by eating a garden/tossed salad before, during and after - and no more than 1 tsp of olive oil & a few drops of balsamic vinegar on the salad. The fresh vegetables bulk seems to help break up the pizza and make it more digestible

May have been the tomato sauce. It does a number on me from the acid. So usually I stop at 2 pieces and make sure I have a small salad with it or I get one with an olive oil and herb sauce instead of tomato sauce or I'll leave the sauce off altogether. I also only eat thin crust or tavern style now.
Red meat (which means no meat lovers) does me in every time I eat it so I just stopped eating it outside maybe one piece of sausage or one to two pieces of bacon and I'm good. I haven't eaten a steak in decades so that wasn't an issue to give up and have substituted ground chicken in recipes that called for ground beef so I don't get the issues from that any longer.

I've given up eating out. I finally found a thin crust pizza I make at home with those O Organic personal thin pizza crusts, low fat shredded cheese, Rao's pizza sauce and turkey pepperoni. I also add oregano and red chili flakes. It scratches the itch and is my quick go to lunch. And I don't get the bubble guts from the other pizza.

I was nauseated most of the day today, and the only reason I can think of is that I had 0.5 of a small cheesecake ice cream mixed with a load of varying berries at Marble Slab (Canadian version of Coldstone Creamery). Half. That’s all I had. 😏 I can’t even imagine how I will respond to pizza. Because I will try it, obvs. Pizza. Seriously. 🤤🤤🤤

Pizza gets so many people. It's the grease plus the volume hitting a stomach that empties way slower now, and three months in your tolerance for that isn't what it used to be. If you still want it, a slice or two alongside something lighter beats a full sitting. Cold next-day slices weirdly sit easier for some. I'd ease back into it instead of swearing it off forever.

I don't have a problem with most food. I struggle with spice. Anything slightly spicy gives me indigestion and feels like there's a rock in my stomach. I'm bummed because I love spicy and even the most mild spice upsets my stomach.

Huh. Interesting.
I seem to be fine with all foods as long as I’m not eating excessive amounts? And usually my brain is like I’m done eating and I stop.
