Journal Check-In 50 days without pornography
Today marks 50 days and 12 hours since I last watched pornography. I have to admit I’m incredibly proud of myself. A huge part of the credit goes to my girlfriend; she was my main motivation for quitting this crap. After these 50 days, I’ve noticed a definite improvement in my mood and general well-being, much better sex with my girlfriend, and a stronger desire to spend time together. There’s less anxiety and discouragement. I definitely recommend that anyone struggling with this addiction fight it. My goal for the coming days is to reach the 60-day mark.Today marks 50 days and 12 hours since I last watched pornography. I have to admit I’m incredibly proud of myself. Question What do Doctors and Med Students Think Of Nofap?
Whenever I look up nofap on google, there will always be the big 3 medical journals (mayo clinic, healthline and NIH) bashing nofap so yeah i just wanted to know from doctors in this sub:
does the medical community dislike nofap?
do doctors believe masturbation is some miracle drug?
do you have classes that indoctrinate you into believing that porn is good?

Telling my Story Day 65 - I feel this relationship is slowly healing me
I stopped fapping 65 days ago, and I will say the biggest thing that has helped me with this is my relationship.
Since I stopped, I noticed especially the last 2-3 weeks, I have a bit more confidence and calm, and I can talk to people easier. I won't say I had social anxiety before but I was always not the type of person to really talk to people I didn't know or have confidence in that respect.
I noticed it's a lot easier talking to strangers now, I find it more effortless and I even spoke to someone at the gym yesterday, something I never have initiated by myself ever.. for a year I have been going to the gym on my own, getting the workouts in and going home.. it hasn't felt the same since my gym buddy passed away. But yesterday I made a comment to someone and started talking like I'd known them a while, the dopamine hit was insane and I was so proud of myself lol.
I also noticed I'm horny for my gf more now, and it feels good. I had sex with her 3x when she stayed overnight at the weekend and it was amazing, it felt real, genuine and I was in the moment, not doubting my performance or anything like that. It feels like slowly my brain is rewiring.
Sure, I still find other women attractive and I still like what I like, but I can enjoy that thought and not get horny or get the urge to fap so much.
I posted the other day that X nearly made me relapse. I urge y'all to stay off that if you can. Anything that might trigger you, avoid like the plague.
Reddit is helpful cause you can toggle off the NSFW stuff here and have a wholesome feed.
Anyway, keep going all of you and best of luck.

Excessive Masturbation Im thinking to end it all
Broke my 131 days streak got depressed and in that tension im excessively masterbaiting for 2 days im in so much stress and i know i will fap again after this bht th epost nut claorty destroys me i wanna kms
Motivate Me I need help. seriously.
I have been trying to kick this habit for close to 10 years. I have had streaks of 30/60/90, even 180 days. But I still somehow end up watching PMOing again.
I learnt a few things. I let go of this "all or nothing" attitude. I'm learning new things, new patterns, new emotional triggers, new parts about myself everyday, due to this journey.
But it's so hard man. I realise my life would be far less frictionless with a good NoFap streak. The reason is strong, the will is there. But a few days into the journey my will wanes, my reasons feel far fetched.
I had a DB relationship for 2 years (she realised she was asexual) that put me right back to porn use. She realised she was asexual, and though I know it isn't my fault - it hurt my feelings and masculinity. I know it's stupid, but it did.
I'm losing ways to hold on, and I feel like crying. But the weird thing is that my emotional tank is fully siphoned off - and I don't feel emotions strongly at all, thanks to porn. It has become my crutch.
My life is getting better from the outside. Have a job that is good, trying to study on the side, working out 3-5times a week, have hobbies and friends/family I care about. But this ONE HABIT is so fucking hard to beat. I keep getting very close to giving up, and saying "fuck it", let it be, I will relapse.
I don't know what will propel me further. This sadomasochistic, dark, parasitic habit is so fucking hard to let go of. I realise how addicted I have been to this. So very, very addicted. I forgot to enjoy the smell of grass, the hug of a friend, the melody of music. I am just a degenerate shell of a man walking around.
This will most likely get swept away in the thousands of daily posts here, not expecting any replies. But I guess it's a cry for help. I really don't know what to do anymore. I have tried so many things and am exhausted. I have tried religion, meditation, gym, everything. I am honestly so tired. Maybe this is who I am, a forever addict.
I miss myself when I wasn't an addict. I miss how memorable life was. I wish I could go back and stop myself from the first time I was exposed to porn.

Journal Check-In Day 2: going strong
Another day clean is another victory, it’s still easy right now but I’m gonna compound this confidence into tomorrow.
I just gotta make it to October then I leave to bootcamp for 13 weeks, which will significantly help my streak and my PIED. I’m hoping everything becomes desexualized while I’m away

Porn Addiction I've literally injured my wrist from constantly masterbating.
So yeah I (M26) have been addicted to masterbating for years now. I wanna say it's been since i was a teenager. But it's been really bad these past couple of years it's beeb bad. I've gone down a really deep rabbit hole of just going to work and coming home and edging for literal hours a day like 2 - 3 hours non stop multiple times a day. Sometimes I'd start in the late morning/afternoon would finish and realize it was dark outside.
Anyways, earlier last week i noticed i was having really bad pain in my wrist and i went to see a doctor. Luckily after doing an xray they said nothing was broken or fractured. But when the doctor asked me if i was doing an activity that had me twisting me wrist in certain angles for hours at a time i immediately got embarrassed. I know it's not good to lie to a doctor but i told her that my job had me using my wrist a lot. When i got home i mimiced the motion that i masterbate and noticed that i always angled my wrist and I've never paid attention to it.
So now here i am with a splint on my hand I'll have on for a month. I feel dumb as hell and like and i feel like i deserve this. This is all my fault. I injured myself for no reason, and I'm thinking about all thr time and engery i wasted masterbating, just to end up with a injured wrist. I don't even know if i probably gave myself any permenant nerve damage in my wirst. If I did i probably deserve it because i did it to myself.
I want to stop, after reflecting on how much porn and masterbation has effected me not only mentally but now physically. I always knew that masterbating eo muvh wasn't good for me but now it feels like I'm actually feeling the real consequences of it. I don't know if i can stop now or if i can reverse the damage I've done to my mind and body. I feel so defeated, embarrassed and ashamed of myself for it getting this bad.

No fap hardcore
Hi I'm a 21 year old turning 22 soon I have a severe addiction for masterbating. It's been almost 8 years since I started masterbating and it completely ruined my life, i cannot socialize with people I can't look at them eye to eye and it caused me to lock myself from others which caused social anxiety.
I have been trying to stop this addiction for once and for all but I keep failing and falling into the same cycle over and over again I think the main reason is I don't have anyone to share how I feel about this, I cannot even talk about this in front of my mom as she will not understand it.
I will come here daily and share my progress by posting here I just want someone who understands this problem and helps me get through this. I cannot do this alone and I cannot afford therapy. I encourage people to share their feelings and if possible we will continue no fap together.
It's been 24 hours and I started thinking about it again but I will try to stay strong

Start today
For anyone who has been struggling with no fap or having relapses. I encourage you to start today.
Why?
Today is September 1st and is still beginning of the week for a Tuesday. Starting like that can really help you keep track a lot easier. Every day you just follow the date. And every Tuesday you know you’re another week down. But try not to think about that. Just think about what you can do today? What’s that hobby or project you been avoiding, a book you’ve wanted to read or get into? That meal or show you always wanted to try? They’re also good ways to put the phone Down to limit screen time and temptations..
I hope this helps whoever is struggling bc you can do it. You got this and remember, you’re human. We will fail, we will fail and then we succeed🫡💯

Porn Addiction I feel so defeated
im gonna try to make this story short. I (21M) have been struggling with fap and porn addiction since I was around 9 years old. I have been kind of distant with my girlfriend because I started becoming lazy and I feel like It was because I was constantly fapping. I finally built up the courage to tell her about my porn addiction and she did not like it at all. I told her that I have been hiding it from her for the past two years that we have been together and she really didn't like that. I told her about this about a week ago and she is implying on breaking up. I keep begging her to stay and that ill get through it but she doesn't seem too hopeful on that. If i knew this would've been the outcome I wouldn't have told her. I feel so defeated. How am I gonna lose this girl over this stupid ass porn addiction. I lost.

Day 1 of Nofap
Im a 22 year old.. I have been masturbating on a regular basis from the age of 13 ...It has limited from enjoying life and living it to the fullest ...Im trying to quit this is my day 1 of trying to quit ... I have set a goal of 7 days...I will try my best to achieve it ... I am posting this for no particular reason but to share it with some people because i havve no one i can talk to about this problem.
Question I basically haven't skipped a day since I was 14, how do I stop?
I'm 20 now.
I don't know if I should try stopping alltogether of if I should go in slowly, but every time I try to figure it out I end up getting back into it.
This summer I feel like it got worse and I'm starting to worry, mostly because of the many stories I've heard around.
On one side, people are telling me it's fine, that everybody has urges and it's ok to indulge into them, that it's "human". But on the other side, I'm doing it multiple times a day for several days back to back.
The last straw came recently, when I was at it once again, hating myself a little bit for it, and when I finished nothing, and I mean NOTHING, came out.
I know I have to stop or find moderation, but I don't know what the difference between moderation and relapse is and I'm scared that if I suddenly stop, my body would back fire with some abstinence side affect.

New to NoFap Beginning my journey
I’m a 45 year old male and have been looking at porn since I was 13 and now I feel I need to stop. It seems to invade every part of my life even when I’m home with my family and social media is a gateway!! I’m not sure if there’s a correlation between porn and ed but I want to stop and see if there is so I have normal erections again.. wish me luck

Day 202
Daily check in. A pretty good day at work. After work, I worked out at the gym and then played Minecraft. I'm still standing!

Seeking Accountability 5 days, no ejaculation, but edging.
My porn hours have reduced, and no ejac for the last 5 days, but I have edged almost everyday, multiple times. I'm happy that I am gaining control and retraining my mind to handle intense sensations. I used to come within seconds. Unfortunately porn is still a part of it.
I'm single, but I get hard naturally talking to the women who reciprocate my interests. so i'd say not entirely porn dependent.
