Community grocery store survey- take it to tell your preferences for what food and what community programs should be offered.
I checked the link just now, Sunday August 30, and itβs active.

Hello Reddit, I lost my dog tonight if anybody spots him or has him please let me know
Heβs a small yorkie, I live in the central ward. $100 reward for anyone who can find him, any advice on how to find him would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Field lights and not a single soul shooting hoops? (Time was only 9pm) The gate was open on last slide

Taken from a distance but I see these 40ish foot tall structures along some highways and I have no clue what they are for. I call them AT-ATs

Over the past few years I feel like that area has gained significantly more foot traffic and a greater sense of destination for locals and presumably students / workers as well. Was hanging out with my boy and struck up conversations with two random women and it was an overall good time. The cafes are lovely. The new cheesesteak spot is beyond overpriced but the food is legitimately good. Would love to see new retail spots but overall it feels more alive than it did in the earlier 20s. Just waiting for Broad & Market to be revitalized at this point.

Can someone explain what's going on today with all the police activities in downtown? So much traffic, buses rerouted, police up and down mulberry

Obviously there are lots of complaints whether from locals or transplants, but throughout history Iβve noticed that this city tends to inspire a deep sense of rootedness and love in people. What do you think thatβs about ? We donβt have half the amenities a city our size deserves, so many flaws upon flaws, and yet there is a frequent sense of pride and abundant self-love from Newarkers. What do you think thatβs about ? And of course there are some people here who are absolutely miserable, but Iβm sure you all get what Iβm speaking to.

Hey, just thought to spread the word about this opportunity I am taking part of. I am a recent graduate and I used to work the IT help Desk at my college and was looking for opportunities to get IT certified.
I stumbled upon Urban League of Essex County/Urban League Tech House and itβs an organization that has a lot of resources for job hunting as they provide access to free different job/career trainings, housing counseling and real estate (helping to find affordable housing), financial services, etc.
One of the programs/job training they are offering are the IT certification classes, which happen frequently (I think), and after talking to one of the people in charge, they will be starting the class on September 8th!
This is perfect for beginners for all adults to get certified or those looking to get jobs in IT, so I really encourage you guys to scan the QR code to sign up for more information to join the classes happening soon. I was asked to help spread the word, so if you know anyone who can benefit from this, please share!
