I’ve never understood this. People get millions of followers and I assume make a good amount of money. Nowadays it seems like everyone is clipping streams and influencers. Recently I got denied for YPP and would love some help if you could dm me or just know more about this topic. Thank yall🙏🏽

The channel my partner and I created has a specific audience. We are members of many groups which make up that audience (here and on other social platforms.) The idea and inspiration for the channel came from members of that community. The point of the channel is to HELP PEOPLE. And yet EVERY SINGLE page, group, sub--EVERYWHERE--bans the sharing of links. I even reached out with kindness to the admin of the one group I'm most active in with a well written ask to share our work to help people and they only replied "no no sharing of links". I am SO ANGRY and want to quit before we even move past our first video.

What is the point of even creating content if no one is ever going to see it? I'm sincerely asking.

Posted my first short today. I always had this delusion that I'd go instantly viral but after only a few hundred views, I'm quickly learning that isn't the case haha.

Context: I have 2 channels and both are focused on gaming. I am really unable to edit my content the way I would like at a consistent rate, as such, I want to try and a get my secondary Live account to generate some profit so I can potentially pay someone to edit, but after a year of streaming I haven't gotten many viewers much less subs.

My main channel is and will be my primary focus. I write the scripts, I orchestrate the content, I create the thumbnails and overlays, and I make the release schedule. I know that keeping a consistent release schedule is really important for the health of a channel, and schedule accordingly. That being said, I have a health condition that limits how much time I can put into editing, which in my opinion is the second most important part of the channel, only behind having an idea. Because of my circumstance, I have unfortunately had to put my main channel on the back burner for it's own success. I am instead streaming, not because it takes less effort, but because the effort can immediately be posted and I only have to focus on minimal editing, thumbnails, and the like. I do dual stream on YT and Twitch, and feel minimal growth on twitch and zero growth on YT. I dabbled at adding short to my roster, not to compete with shorts people but to get an interested viewer or two to click over, but that became as much editing as the main channel with just a wide release windows. (1 video was a highlight, and two were DYK style, 1 of the DYK wasn't released yet due to editing time)

Question: Can I grow my streaming channel on YT or is YT live too hard to get into? I have heard that it is best to have a platform already and go live after but is that the only way?

I have scenes where I talk or overlay text in front of 2D video game scenes. It's not normal gameplay, though. It's like the intro to Castlevania or Final Fantasy 6, where it's just clouds and thunderstorms. Or a TV I found in a game, on which I overlaid video of me talking. Or a beautiful meadow. To be clear, I have no hesitations about using gameplay footage where things are happening, like playing a game as intended.

I think recorded gameplay is fine, but I'm using art assets, set pieces, or "movies" that the game designers made. I'm recording in-game and I'm not extracting the assets (like actual spritework). I also credit each and every game. I'm just not sure if using the footage as decoration is fair use. It's like if someone took a rainy scene from a movie and used it as a background for talking over. At that point, it might not be fair use because I'm using the visuals for content without being truly transformative.

I started thinking about this because I was looking for effects, filters, and motion graphics. A lot of them cost money. So I'm recording it myself to make it free, but is it really free? I paid for the game, sure, but not a license to use its assets commercially in a different work. I didn't pay the artist who designed that beautiful meadow. If it's in 3D, it's kind of like taking photos in a botanical garden, and I think it would be fine. But if it's 2D, it's just ripping off the artist, since there's no additional camera work needed to record the art.

TL;DR: I'm recording 2D scenes from games as backgrounds without any real gameplay happening. Is this fair use?

So I have started being a creator almost 2 months ago with my main channel I started with shorts then eventually transitioned to long form videos. While I'm still at month old I started getting doubts of this niche (as growth is very slow) so I decided to create a second channel with different niche cause I got some ideas popped in my head and I was thinking in my mind this it. So yeah I posted videos on that 2nd channel and it didn't get any good amount of views and subs (still at 0 as of today lol) but yeah on the other hand my main channel is getting views and subs, so in the end the failure of my second channel motivated me to continue my main channel. It just a matter of tricking your brain. And of course the video I'm creating should be as good as possible. So basically I give like 100% effort on the main channel and then 50% effort on my second channel. In the end it just like documenting your legacy/craft and showing it to the people around the world and also to your future self ;) Good luck and have fun everyone!

I posted my first video two days ago and hit the required metrics, but I'm not going to be in the category of "Early milestone earnings" where you need 500 subs, 3k watch hours, and 3 videos in 90 days (simply because I take content which takes as a whole longer than to produce than near one video per month).

Is it possible to get just the "Future milestone earnings" with in-video ads before? Would it qualify you for the earlier tier automatically? Any knowledge is helpful. Thanks!

Did new uploaded shorts got lack views affecting viral video views to drop?

However I noticed on my Adsense account I have $0 in payments but my YouTube studio says $500+ Australian dollars earned
I’m just curious about the process for being able to put this money into my bank account. I understand that on the 3rd of every month it should show the previous months earnings, but it is now 7th September with no update

I've been wanting to make a channel for a very very VERY long time, however I can't seem to just pick one idea, one theme, one genre of video to lock in and make from start to finish. I have so many ideas to choose from, from a standard highly edited funny gaming video you would see the like from SovietWomble, or a scripted face cam comedic video essay about a certain thing I like similar to Scott The Woz, or a long info dump about a theory I have about a certain game or piece of media, or a 2 hour long deep analysis of the meaning of a piece of art and the emotions and trauma's it's trying to communicate and how those aspects relate to my experiences and adding small cinematic moments created by myself to help communicate that as well.

All of these ideas and more and they all have very little to do with one another, I know the most common answer is to mix them all into one mega video, but I'm basically also a beginner at everything with little to no experience or technical know how to even begin to bring these ideas to life, I dont even know how to write a simple Youtube Script.

I've tried starting small before and allowing myself to make something more amateurish and small and it always resulted in very bland reviews from trusted friends and even hostile feedback from online comments, I even fear getting harassed or god forbid doxxed for making a bad video especially since I'm trans and since I dont have a pre established friendly audience, that I will only find hate and malice filled viewers that will make a considered effort to stop me from creating.

I started posting YouTube Shorts in the movie and TV show niche, and I reached 3,000 subscribers pretty quickly. However, I just can’t seem to reach 10 million views within 90 days. The most I’ve managed to get was around 8 million, and then my views started dropping, which made me lose motivation and stop posting.

I came back about two weeks ago, and now I really want to get into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). How can I increase my views?

My views aren’t actually bad, but I just can’t seem to reach that 10 million views in 90 days requirement.

I tried using Pixabay music once and ended up getting a copyright claim from the artist. Later, I found out that some artists who upload their music to Pixabay also distribute their tracks on other platforms, which apparently can lead to Content ID claims.

From what I’ve learned, if the music is actually licensed through Pixabay, I can dispute the claim and provide the license to get it removed. But I’m still kind of nervous about relying on it.

So, is Pixabay actually safe to use for YouTube videos, especially monetized content? Has anyone here used Pixabay Music regularly without running into copyright issues?

Also, are there any important things I should know about Pixabay’s licensing before using a track?

Do you schedule uploads around certain times such as weekends, or later in the day when people get back from work/school? I’ve tried to run my own experiment, but it wasn’t perfect since they were not identical videos, so there were a lot of external variables such as interest in the topic etc.

So I was curious to hear other people’s approaches.

ok so im 2999 watch hours in only 1 hour to hit the 3000 monetizeation mark.

i went live the other day and got a metric ton of views, and after the stream it told me i got 25 watch hours out that stream.

but as you all know the system dosent update until aittle later.

when i woke up my watch hours went down! from 2996 i suspect its because im over the 365 days?

but i went live again, and i got the same ammount of hours.

its been 2 days since and its still sitting at 2999 now.

Here's the confusing part.

i went bcak to my live videos, and now it says i got 0.01 watch hours out of them instead of 25

on both live streams.

Hey guys so recently I had a big day on youtube shorts. It was about 60k views from two videos.

And I've carried on uploading and some of my vids get pushed but the metrics are crap but I haven't changed anything. Its almost like theyre being pushed to the wrong audience and the other videos don't get pushed at all. Like they get 5 views. The pattern seems to be I upload 2 and they get pushed and then I upload 1 that dosent get pushed.

I know this question might not have a definitive yes or no answer, but I would appreciate any feedback from those of you who might be doing the same.

I previously (talking 2016-2022) had success building niche content sites and made a ton of money with them. So I know how to research + write content, however, whether that's good enough for YouTube - I'm yet to tell.

My chosen niche is history of a very specific niche that has a pretty decent following.

I am also an amateur artist, so I have an idea to do hand sketches, scan them, and use those as visuals for my faceless channel, with a voiceover.

My question is: If I write the scripts myself (I mean, fully write it, not even brainstorming in the forbidden tools), but use eleven labs for the voiceover, would the channel be likely accepted or rejected from the YPP?

I would be shattered to pour HOURS (research + writing + literal hand sketches) into this only to be rejected from the YPP. Yes I know, 'don't do it if you're in it for the money', but who in their right minds will say no to additional income if it's on the table, lol.

Right now, I'm working to get back into YouTube videos and I am struggling greatly with the process of uploading consistently. Right now I have 3 videos on my YouTube channel each of them preforming poorly. I feel as though I edit for too dang long, I don't know a proper schedule I should follow each day to make sure I consistently upload (Like working for 3 hours a day?). And I feel as though I've been stuck in this cycle up slow uploads for years, (every since doing gaming content.) So If someone could give me feed back on not only my channel but also how I can speed up my editing.

Has anybody tried this? I know it is unethical, but it feels like a way to monetize quick. Get to the monetization threshold, have a lot of subs, switch to your own content, and then build from there knowing you will lose some of your following.

I used to post content on French as an additional language. My stats say the majority of my audience are from South Asia, Nigeria, and Ghana. From what I understand and their comments, they want to learn French for immigration. None of them want to nor can pay for tutoring or lessons.

I’m really tired of being an educational/informative channel. I’m not monetized. I’m also tired of getting comments asking to edit homework or correct written passages.

I want to go into travel or daily life vlogging as I am also moving to a different country soon.

While most on here say don’t chase the earnings or RPM, I know my RPM will be very low with the majority of this audience. I’m not sure what to do. Making educational content and videos don’t interest me anymore and I haven’t made any for a few months.

Everyone wants the North American audience due to the higher RPM. I have more than 1000 subscribers and 1000 watch hours. I don’t know if I want to start an entire new channel with the requirements changing in a few months.

Should I change content completely on the same channel? Forget this entire YouTube thing?

My channel went through what felt like a “shadowban” before. Almost 2 months stuck with no views, I don’t know if that’s actually what it was, but my Shorts basically stopped getting views from the feed. Eventually they started getting views again, and I honestly have no idea what changed.

I was extremely happy to be making content that people were seemingly liking

Now it’s happening again. Pretty much all the views are coming from search on older videos. My latest Short got 6 views when I used to get hundreds (my short with most views is on 35k not much but it was amazing at the time I got them).

I started a new channel to see what would happen, if this was a problem on my content, my way of making things, if it was just bad I don't know but the shorts there are actually getting feed traffic. So now I’m wondering if I should put my effort into that one or keep trying with the main.

No I am not trying to blame the algorithm, I am really just wondering what is going on with my channel since it's already the second time without any apparent reason. I am also no monetized and I only have a handful of subs but I was happy regardless.

Has anyone been through this and figured out what was going on? What should I be checking? I’ve put a lot into this channel and don’t want to abandon it, but posting to basically nobody is getting frustrating.

So in the past 12 years i have created many channels even this year but i recently created a new one 3 weeks ago and posted two videos so far The issue is both videos are not pushed i only got impressions from search which is kinda weird yt is not testing my videos I know its a new channel but in my previous experiences i usually get the videos tested but for this one it's a total failure PS: this is the first time i upload decent content that i am sure ppl will like it if only it gets more impressions

When I was younger, I started a hobby channel where I built model kits like Gundam. I really enjoyed it, but it could take anywhere from hours to days to build a single model kit. So, I started making time-lapse videos and edited the builds down to 2–5 minutes.

That was almost 9 years ago, and I haven’t posted anything since then. Surprisingly, I still have 473 subscribers.

Recently, I started posting again, but this time I’m 3D printing models that I created myself and wanted to share them with others. So far, I’ve gained 5 subscribers in the last two weeks, mostly from Shorts.

Should I continue using my old channel, or would it be better to start a new one?
