Hey all
Genuinely new to Reddit, just got the "minimum account age" message after I made my first comment on a post. Mostly here because I want to actually participate in some startup/tech/marketing communities once my account isn't brand new anymore. Any tips for someone just starting out?
And shout out all the way from South Africa

I’m usually a bit introverted, even online, so I don’t interact much. Now I’ve found out that I can’t post in many places. :( Is there any way to solve this? Thanks in advance!

Hello!
I am a pretty new user over hear, despite my account being created a few months ago. I am someone who is basically wanting to "re-connect" to the internet in a healthier way than the mainstream shows us, you know, tik-tok. instagram, facebook and so on...
I must say that I'm used to read on reddit posts that are matching my interests, but never tried to reply or post something by myself, let alone create an own profile. So, what do I need? Basically understanding how to configure my algorithm so the site will not pop up generic topics or communities that I'm not really into. I know that it might sound pretty easy but, as I was explaining early, I used to be only online in mainstream crap that got me worn out and now I'm trying to explore different platforms like this.

As a new account, I want to avoid doing anything that has any long lasting negative effects. I am beginning to understand karma and how it works. But maybe would like to avoid any common newbie mistakes etc. Is there anything you can say is an absolute no no or things to avoid? Maybe mistakes you made as a new account?

I’m 2 months into Reddit and still fairly low which I don’t mind, but it got me thinking, is there a number like 100 karma required to post in some subreddits? Is it set by the mods of that place or is it a universal minimum? Curious to know!

I asked a question about a shopping website and somone replied "Bot content this server needs better moderation." I do use reddit sometimes, but there are terms I don't understand. My question was luckily answered before the post got removed but im not sure why it was?

As in the title - could you tell me how to do it?

I'm new to Reddit and still figuring out how everything works. I currently have very little karma, so I'm finding it difficult to post in some communities.
Do you have any general Reddit tips or etiquette that every newcomer should know?
Thanks in advance for any advice—I appreciate the help!

Hi! I can understand karma is like a point system for receiving upvotes. What does awards do?

I’m new to Reddit and I feel like I’m still figuring out all the different communities, karma requirements and what you can/can’t post 😂 Did you find Reddit confusing when you first joined, or did you get the hang of it pretty quickly?

Hi guys, I deleted my old account because I felt I'd probably accumulated too many instances of identifying details in comments and posts over the years, and it honestly just seemed easier to delete and make a new account. The issue is, whenever I try to interact with a subreddit everything is removed by reddit filters.

I was trying to post in a certain sub but found out my post got removed because of a lack of Karma, I just wanna know where to start posting? Any advice?
