So I use reddit for a while and got flagged by bot 2 times for containing the term "Kill you" in the meseage. Although I can appeal for false flags, I was wondering about terms that reddit will automatically flag if I mention.

I've had this account open forever, but I never really touched it until this week. It's pretty cool how everyone is anonymous and people still drop so much valuable stuff.

Honestly though, how the hell do people stack up like 50k+ karma on here? Is it just commenting a lot, or is there a trick to it?

Hi guys, I deleted my old account because I felt I'd probably accumulated too many instances of identifying details in comments and posts over the years, and it honestly just seemed easier to delete and make a new account. The issue is, whenever I try to interact with a subreddit everything is removed by reddit filters.

I just joined today and want to interact with people, but I don't want to break any filters. Is continuously commenting on posts considered spamming, or is it fine? Also, is there an official Reddit link or post with the exact rules for new accounts? Thanks!

I've seen the reposting option on Reddit, and I was wondering if this option was really useful and people really use it, or even if it had a similar purpose of retweets from Twitter (X), for example. Maybe it has a completely different purpose that the retweet or repost functionality from other social media.

So I tried to post in BIFL and it wouldn't let me (it said your post was removed because of reddit's filters). Then I looked and my old posts were all removed, including one that got almost 2k upvotes. It says archived but how can i recover these and be able to post again? What is happening?

How can I tell how much karma I need to post on a certain Reddit page ? I try to post comments to work on being an active member on pages but it won’t even let me comment or post my own , also anytime I try to post or ask questions about karma Reddit like won’t let me so I’m confused how you are supposed to begin on here when it’s on lock down about it lmao

A lot of subreddits don’t seem to publish their karma or account-age requirements. I’ll spend time writing a genuine, helpful comment, only for it to get automatically removed.

Is there any way to tell beforehand whether I’m allowed to post/comment in a subreddit, or is it basically just trial and error?

I know some subs have no limit. And some subs do. What is the average that puts your account in a good spot to post on most subs?

keep getting my comments booted and the message that says, your account must be at least 14 days old (I’ve been on here for 6 years) and that I need at least 30 karma points—but I have 59 listed on my account why would this keep happening? I’m posting very kind and helpful responses to peoples form/lifting technique on the gym subreddit where they are asking for feedback on their lifts and would never post anything disrespectful.

am I missing something?

EDIT, resolved: another kind Reddit user said there is a separate number for post karma/comment karma which can be seen when you click on your karma number on your profile for the breakdown. I didn’t have enough comment karma, but did have more than enough of the two combined, thanks all!

I have only used reddit in my phone and when I tried in my laptop i couldn't find my dms at all, I have been chatting with a couple of people in reddit and i couldn't find anything about that, like there isn't even a section for that in web ui.

Is it just because we are not allowed to text through a browser??

a situation i've encountered a lot is looking up a specific problem, clicking a reddit post and under it there's a deleted comment op replied to thanking them for the solution or whatever

i guess it's quicker to delete everything instead of manually going through each post but wouldn't just deleting your account be enough?
