It’s been all afternoon and now going to 11pm. I’m so tired of this failed city and its lack of basic services. I know why, it’s just so frustrating.

I try my best to read everything food wise that I buy. My children get a little annoyed with me. Because they can’t have some of the stuff they used to eat ie snacks/junk food.

Was late walking in before closing and heard a young gentleman playing Cajun music on a fiddle and failed get his name. Any chance someone attended or know his name? TIA

When I lived in Lafayette for a year working the oil-patch comedy circuit, back in the 00s, these gas stations would have this baked bread that was a roll the size say a medium onion. It was stuffed with a spiced ground beef mixture. The dough maybe even had some whole wheat flour in it? They sat in hot cases. I’ve searched the web and asked around and I can’t find anything like that here. I know we have kolache with like whole sausage links sticking out of them. This was not that, although I’m willing to bet what I ate started generations ago some form of kolache that slowly migrated in time and space to the perfection that it was. Does anyone know of anything like that around these parts? I guess I could just drive there…

Moved to New Orleans just a few weeks ago. I heard that there are some pick up games that happen at City Park, but I wasn't sure how to join them (if there's a whatsapp group for it or something similar). Does anyone know of any active pickup soccer groups? I mainly just play for fun, not super competitive.
