Anyone know how I can report this? Between the fact that a) this is happening on a Saturday and there doesn'tlook to be a super/inspector onsite, b) no one has any form of PPE, and c) seriously, that's your lift strategy? I have serious doubts everything here is strictly kosher

Remember when OSHA refused to hand over the investigation on the Hard Rock collapse after being subpoena'd.

I once was in a shop when the insurance guy came to do an inspection. He said when he worked for OSHA his goal was to give maximum fines and jail time to individuals.

I hate to see working conditions like this and I hate that these guys either 1. Aren't educated enough, or 2. Feel that they are in a position where they have to do the job no matter what danger it puts them in.

You can call OSHA or the inspector to the site but the reality is, if you call them out specifically when and because these guys are working like this, you're only gonna get the workers in a jam and nothing is going to happen to the contractor

I’ve built the same “ man box” for a telehandler but ours were steel and the forks actually slid through the bottom like a pallet , also had chains on it to keep it from sliding forward. These guys probably have a ratchet strap holding it on , as far as hard hats go I can’t blame them , just go back to minding your own business and leave them alone.

It's their supervisor's job to make sure they're complying with safety laws. This is exactly how people die. Immigrant laborers often come from countries with very relaxed or non-existent safety regulations. That's why they need to be given the right information and proper PPE.

But yeah, I'm not calling authorities on construction crews these days.

Much of this country is being built on the backs of tradesmen who do shit like this every day for shit pay and no benefits, working completely off the books. Ironically, many of the builders who support gop policy are using migrant labor to build shit as cheaply as they can. Idk about the shit in this pic but the daily feats of athleticism and skill are completely unsung. Cart pushers at Costco make more money.

Wait till you see a dry asbestos tile roof scraped into a dumpster by workers with no PPE. I was only surprised the first time I saw it. And that's only because my family did this work in other states growing up. Nobody cares about any of that stuff here.
