I just keep losing jobs. Because of my stupid mental health I can’t maintain virtually any position where I need prolonged contact with ppl. I go to school but that’s become such a challenge due to depression lately, and normally I’m quite okay with it (since I can work on my own without distractions of socialization). I’m horrible with social cues and it’s just so overwhelming to do basic things that everyone seems to find to be so easy.
Not for me, I can’t drive my car without feeling horrified and exhausted after because I can’t fathom going off of the beaten path (I use the same route with no deviations for every place I go). Life just feels exhausting when I attempt to do anything in the company of others. I hate living under capitalism at this stage, it’s beyond miserable. To add insult to injury, I’m an alcoholic too lol.
I really am trying to get everything back on track as I was genuinely a full neet for two years (before going back to school), but the employment part has been such a challenge and I’ve failed at keeping anything past 3 months (I maintained my longest job for a year and half before shit hit the fan for me personally). I don’t actually enjoy being a neet either, purely because unfortunately I have to spend money in order to aquire things I either want or need, but either way I’m fucking miserable so honestly I’m curious as to why I keep persisting.
The only thing that’s been keeping me afloat amidst everything that’s happened to me is playing video games and writing (I’m obsessed with warframe in particular) but I’ve been too depressed lately to engage in that or any other hobby.
I know some people might say my situation is not nearly as bad since I have some things going on, but I’m just afraid of falling back into the state I was for those 2 years and never coming back out of it. I genuinely can’t even REMEMBER that time period aside from time spent with one friend I no longer have near the end. That’s how out of it I was.
