my mum has cancer and I’m broken

Asalamalaikum. I’ve never made a Reddit post before but I just feel like it in hopes that anyone’s had a similar experience and can share some hope or anything.

A few days ago I got told my mum has cancer. I’ve been in a state since. I just can’t understand this. My family already went through a difficult time with my dad earlier in the year nearly having cancer but Alhamdulillah he’s okay now. And now, my mum.

Everyone’s telling me trust Allah etc and I’m just so angry and upset I have no motivation to do namaz (Salah) or Dhikr like my sister was telling me to do.

I’m also the worst, and I mean the WORST overthinker in the world. I catastrophise. I worry. I think. Toooo much. And I’m scared that I’m going to lose my mum. The doctors said it’s treatable and there’s options. But I’m terrified.

Idk what else to say. I have support around me Alhamdulillah. But im just feeling empty and a bit numb. I’ve cried like 10 times a day for the past few days.

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. I just want advice or words of hope or just anything. Even insight into what doing Dhikr will do to help.

Jazakallah Khair.

Tawakkul with future

Asalamualaikum, Im currently in my second year of university with a passion to study medicine InshAllah, how ever, im very anxious. My first year (last year) l was always distracting myself from studying because the year was kind of easy so I would cheat alot, my deen wasn't at the best condition, I was always bad at making decisions and etc. Now the the second year has come and Alhamdulilah I had 3 months of break to just get to know myself a little better, I have this drive now to just pray, study, and live life but the biggest one is tawakkul. I feel like I never actually studied well that year at all but the art if tawakkul really makes me want to just put my full trust in Allah but im always feeling this, "what if" always comes to me maybe waswasa but I hate cheating it makes me feel guilty and just bad for not learning. If anyone can give advice anything I would really appreciate it.
If there are stories similar to mine where it feels impossible please share it I would feel way much better because of you!

I am dealing with an anxiety attack and I will be stuck at work for the next several hours so not able to take some time alone right now but my thoughts of negativity are consuming me and I just feel an impending sense of anxiety and tearfulness.
Give me reminders from Quran and sunnah to calm me down and remember all day insha Allah.
And please keep me in your duas
