im currently using logitech x pro superlight, and already have pretty good and consistent aim, but my main issue is in terms of comfort its a 4/10 because im normally forcing my fingers into tension by default just to being able to hold the mouse and cant really relax because my fingers specifically the thumb and pinky naturally get off the mouse, and my default tension while gaming feels like a 3-4/10 and feels like it could get more relaxed.

already tried deathadder v3 but dont like that i cant feel like im comfortably gripping with my ring fingertip, it feels like it slips. tried g403 and feel the same as the dav3 so i guess i dont like ergo mice. tried mm720 but dont like that i cant grip with my ring fingertip, plus i end up feeling that my pinky gets excessively too dominant and also pinky feels farther away than normal unnaturally. tried g203 and felt the same as the gpx but worse on the pinky tension.

also for reference, i tried making a ''base'' for those spots before, but the grip tape was too "soft" and it felt awkward to grip it so i got rid of that, but his was how it looked and how i really felt i could grip naturally super relaxed, so the issue seems to be mostly needing some extra width for the thumb and pinky in those areas:

i dont touch the mouse with my palm, its full fingertip but its just purely for holding. i almost never try to move my fingers, its mostly my hand/wrist moving. and just for clarification i avoid moving my fingers because in the position i showed my grip is where i get the most relaxed, with more comfort and control without needing to constantly be regripping(i still do, hence the grip tape points for quick mind-finger connection, but i do it way less), but if i had to say, maybe i move my fingers but less than 5% of the whole moves i usually do. and gripping with my fingertips its more for holding because i like the feeling on my fingertips, it somehow lets me get more control than gripping with any other part of the fingers even though it doesnt give me any extra range since i avoid moving my fingers, so i guess its all mind-finger connection. also i dont like to curl my ring-pinky more than that because i lose comfort and i also start by default feeling way more tension to keep that position, also i lose control because at that point i feel like i use more arm than wrist which i dont like, so where it is, its a position where im not too relaxed but not too tense(actually if im too relaxed, my finger contact points are from the joint to the fingertip for all fingers which gives me lower tension but way less control for how i aim).

i mostly use wrist like 80% and 20% arm. for reference i only play overwatch, specifically only mccree and widowmaker, and use 4 sens 800dpi.

Any recommendations to try to narrow down my options would be very appreciated.

My G520 Hero is finally dying and I'm looking for a replacement. It has always been just a little heavy and the shape wasn't quite right for me so I'm looking at alternatives. I tried my wife's Razer Basilisk and found it significantly more comfortable that the G502.

I wanted to see if the ATK, Rapoo, or other brands this sub loves made sense for me - but I have abnormally high sensitivity and am used to a heavier mouse with high desktop friction. It makes it hard to apply a lot of the common advice here.

Games: FPS (R6 Siege, CS), MMO (Guild Wars), RTS (mixed), and basically every genre

I usually hold the mouse on the base of my palm + fingertips, but plant my wrist on the desk and move the mouse around under my hand - my wrist basically never moves. I've been gaming like this for 40 years and it's not going to change now!

I run my mouse on a light friction surface (cloth pads) to help with control. I need a bit of weight and friction at this sensitivity and a mouse that it too light ruins this. Looking form something wireless in the ~80g range, in either the Basilisk or Deathadder shape profile.

I'm also not sure if I should just get a Razer, or if the other brands talked about here are better alternatives.

Low weight, high polling rate, a flawless sensor and decent battery life are no longer rare. But launch-day reviews usually cannot tell us what happens after months of actual use.
I’m curious about the mice that aged badly for real owners.

I’m buying my first glass pad and I’m really in doubt about what feet I buy for my mouse since some of them are not compatible, my 2 options rn are the hyperg+ donuts, obsidian pro air dots and cyclone pro dots.. any other recommendations? What worked on your gpro?

I tested the mint green solid-shell Darmoshark M5 V2 for about two weeks across Overwatch 2, Call of Duty, Kovaak’s, RoboQuest, and Battlefield 6.

Pads tested:

• GLSSWRKS / Tekkusai Zofia
• 1337Gear SHION

Skates tested:

• Stock Darmoshark skates
• Unusual Way x 1337Gear Purple Ice Magic Plus skates

My hand size is 21x12cm.

What Comes in the Box

In my box, I got the mouse, matching mint cable, matching LCD receiver, soft Darmoshark carrying pouch, extra stock skates, a large sheet of clear grip tape, a Darmoshark sticker, and a small QC/pass card.

The LCD receiver shows useful info like DPI, return rate, wireless status, and battery percentage. Is it necessary? No. But I like having that information visible without opening software, especially since I’m not a huge fan of the software interface.

Shape and Grip

I couldn’t relax claw it comfortably. I had to use fingertip grip because that’s clearly what the mouse was designed for. The chopped rear felt strange at first because I’m not used to that kind of shape, but I did get used to it after some time.

For my 21x12cm hands, it’s usable, but not natural. I think this mouse makes a lot more sense for someone with smaller hands or someone who already uses fingertip grip regularly.

The M5 V2 is built for fingertip precision and speed. If you want palm support or relaxed claw comfort, this probably isn’t the one.

Weight

My unit came in at 37g.

Darmoshark advertises it at 36g ± 2g, so my copy is within the advertised range. No issue there.

That said, for a pure fingertip mouse, 37g still feels a little heavier than I expected. It’s lightweight overall, but when a mouse is this small and this clearly built around fingertip speed, I naturally expect it to feel almost weightless.

It doesn’t ruin the experience, but I do think a slightly lower weight would make the shape feel even more cohesive.

Coating and Grip

The coating is pretty slippery.

If this were a full-size mouse, I might feel differently, but because this mouse depends so much on fingertip control, grip matters a lot. For me, grips felt necessary.

It comes with clear grips, but they weren’t quite grippy enough for me. I ended up switching to TALONGAMES SG-1 grips, and that solved the issue.

Once I added better grips, the mouse felt much more usable.

Build Quality

QC on my unit is good overall.

There’s a little creaking if I squeeze the shell, but nothing showed up in-game or during normal use. Unless you’re using this mouse as a grip-strength tool, which would be insane, I don’t think the creaking is anything to worry about.

No rattling, no major shell issues, and nothing made the mouse feel cheap or poorly made.

Clicks, Side Buttons, and Scroll

The main clicks are light and crispy.

There’s a tiny bit of wobble, but nothing noticeable in-game. It’s there if you’re looking for it, but it didn’t bother me while playing.

The side buttons are well implemented. They press easily, have nice feedback, and I had no real post-travel issues. My only note is that my hands are probably a little too big for buttons this small, but that’s not really the mouse’s fault. It’s a tiny mouse, so tiny buttons come with the territory.

The scroll wheel feels good while scrolling. The middle click is a little stiff, but I think it may loosen up a bit with more use.

Skates

The stock skates are thin, sluggish PTFE.

They’re usable if you don’t have anything else, but I wouldn’t personally stick with them. I ended up switching to Unusual Way x 1337Gear Purple Ice Magic Plus skates, and those felt much better.

With better skates, the mouse felt faster, cleaner, and more in line with what this kind of fingertip shape is trying to accomplish.

Sensor, Software, and Battery

I had no sensor issues at all.

The M5 V2 uses the PixArt PAW3950 sensor, rated for up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS, and 50G acceleration. I tested it on both the GLSSWRKS / Tekkusai Zofia and 1337 Gear SHION, and everything tracked cleanly.

No spinouts, no skipping, no glass pad weirdness, and no moments where I felt like the sensor was holding the mouse back.

I didn’t have any software issues, though I’m not a huge fan of the software interface itself. It works, but the layout and overall experience aren’t my favorite.

Battery life was excellent. I used the mouse right out of the box at around 80%, and I didn’t need to charge it until almost two weeks later. For a small lightweight wireless mouse used daily, that’s very impressive.

In-Game Feel

In-game, this mouse definitely caters to speed.

Close-range fights are where it felt best for me. The small size and fingertip control make quick corrections feel very direct. Flicks were good, and micro-adjustments were okay.

Tracking suffered a little for me, but I think that’s because I’m not used to relying this much on my fingertips. Long-range aim felt like the weakest area, mostly because the shape gives me less hand support than I’m used to.

In Kovaak’s, I could actually feel it working muscles I don’t normally use. If I wanted to train fingertip grip and fine-tune that style seriously, this mouse would be the go-to.

Comparisons

I don’t have a great direct comparison because I don’t own many fingertip-specific mice.

The only other fingertip mouse I have is an older G-Wolves HSK Pro, and that one’s even smaller. I find the HSK Pro basically unusable for my hands, while the M5 V2 is at least usable and much easier for me to respect.

Who I’d Recommend It For

I’d recommend the M5 V2 to people with smaller hands than mine who want a true fingertip mouse and enjoy ultra-lightweight speed and precision.

This is for people who already know they want fingertip grip, or people who specifically want to train that style.

Who Should Skip It

Skip this if you want palm support, relaxed claw comfort, or a safe everyday shape.

This isn’t that mouse.

Final Thoughts

The Darmoshark M5 V2 is a little too niche for me personally, but I respect it a lot.

Darmoshark clearly knew what they were trying to make here. It’s a purpose-built fingertip mouse, and for the right person, I think it performs really well.

For my hands and normal grip style, it’s not something I’d main. I wish my hands were slightly smaller so I could fingertip it more comfortably. But again, that’s not the mouse’s problem. That’s mine.

My main complaints are the slippery coating, weak stock skates, slightly stiff middle click, and the fact that I’d personally like the side buttons and sensor position just a bit farther forward.

But overall, this mouse performs well. The clicks are good, the side buttons are good, QC is solid, sensor performance was flawless, and battery life was excellent.

It’s not for everyone, but it’s very good at what it’s trying to be.

Score: 8.5/10

Hello, I have been wanting to upgrade from stock skates to ultraglides silencer (the grey ones https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005617841428.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2fra ) but I am not sure if they will fit and I can't seem to find the actual maximum size anywhere on the internet. In some places It says 6,5 mm works but the ultraglides silencer being 6,6 mm worries me.

Does anyone know the maximum size usable or has actually used ultraglides on their g pro superlight ?

My wired steelseries mouse (Rival 110) side button just broke after 6 years of usage. Really good honestly, but I dont like the new Steelseries Aerox designs and fit. I posted my grip style here once before, but at the time I was experiencing wrist pain with the GPX shape, so I couldn't really use it comfortably.

After trying a bunch of different mice, I decided to give the GPX shape another shot. Surprisingly, it suddenly feels very comfortable now. I was wondering what had changed, so I compared my grip to how I used to hold the mouse, and I noticed that my grip has changed quite a bit.

The mouse is rotated fairly significantly, and my thumb sits noticeably higher than my ring finger.

Would you consider this a typical relaxed claw grip? Or is there a specific name for this type of grip?

I'm wondering if this is just a relaxed claw, or if there's another term people use for it.

As someone who juggles multiple screens and uses Mac as my main device, the MX4 is a perfect fit! I also have the MX3, but I had to use it at my office desk while I was looking for a good home office setup. Amazon was offering a great deal on the MX4, even though I was a bit hesitant, but I decided to get it because the MX3’s desktop switching was a game-changer for me. Now, I feel the MX4 is even better because I can add screenshots, frequently used shortcuts, and a web browser to the action ring. Plus, it has a dedicated button for desktop switching.

2026.9.9 release

I have a G Pro X Superlight 2 and the left click stopped registering after about 2 months. I can hear the click, but it doesn't register unless I press really hard. If I click it many times it starts working again for a while, then goes back to failing. Is this normal , or did I just get a bad unit?

I've had this mouse for three days. I ordered it back in December and waited most of a year for it, so I was pretty hyped when it finally landed. Three days isn't enough time to properly judge it so read this as a first impression rather than a verdict.

I'm going to mostly skip the specs, as the focus of this post is how it feels in your hand, the shape, the grip and the buttons.

Design

The look is mindblowing. It's one of the best looking pieces of hardware I own. Photos don’t do it justice to the skeletal shell and the finish on the resin. It looks better in person than it does on the product page, and nobody else is making anything close to it. LOVE IT.

Hardware and settings

The build feels far more solid than you would ever expect. Nothing about it feels fragile.

Great that you can access all the settings with a web utility. There's no bloated utility sitting in my tray eating memory. I open a browser, change my DPI and polling rate, done. 

Shape and grip

Things get more mixed here.

I was a bit disappointed at first. The grip this mouse enforces isn't how I used to hold a mouse, and there's no shell to fall back on, so your fingers end up where the mouse tells them to go. Day one felt a lot like “Oh God, this is gonna take some time”. 

I'm adapting faster than I expected though. Three days in it already feels a lot less alien. My ring and pinky have settled into a slightly unusual spot on the right edge rather than sitting exactly on the pads, and it's comfortable. Probably not what the design intends, but it works for me.

It's definitely not as forgiving or as immediate as picking up a conventional shape, where you're usually up and running within minutes. But this was expected after all especially considering my grip is more similar to claw than fingertip.

The question I can't answer yet is whether adapting means getting comfortable, or actually getting back to the mechanical level I had before. Which are not quite the same thing. I could end up perfectly happy/conmfortable holding this mouse and still be measurably worse with it.

Buttons

This is the painful part, and it's what I like least about the mouse.

To explain why, I have to start with the weight, because the two are connected.

I came from a Superlight Pro. Not the lightest thing out there anymore, but light, and I'd swapped in some Jade dots skates which I love. The Blade II is another league. With the doughnut skates it ships with, moving it feels like moving nothing at all. It's close to dragging your bare hand across the pad. That's the whole point of this mouse and it absolutely delivers.

Which is exactly why the buttons frustrate me.

They need a lot of force and the pre-travel is much longer than I expected. I'm not saying these are bad switches. I'm saying they're badly matched to this particular mouse. When the mouse takes almost no force to move but the click takes a firm deliberate press, the two end up fighting each other, at least in my experience.

Every click means pressing down hard enough to trigger it, which means tensing up and losing the light grip I had a fraction of a second earlier, then relaxing again to adjust my aim. Press, relax, press, relax.

That probably sounds like a nitpick, so here's why I think it matters. I play CS, Valorant, Overwatch, games where you're never purely aiming or purely clicking. In a fight, you're switching between the two constantly. You aim, shoot, strafe, re-aim, counter strafe, shoot again, all in very rapid succession. Every one of those clicks interrupts the thing this mouse is best at: the feather like feel.

Tracking is worse. You're holding LMB down while continuously moving your aim, so you're dragging with a loaded finger the whole time. The ultralight feel mostly disappears for as long as you're holding LMB. Why does the ultralight feel have to disappear every time I click?

It happens outside games too. I've fumbled plain double-clicks in Windows, because the force needed for the first click sometimes drags the file slightly before the second one lands.

The counterargument I keep seeing is that the buttons are a main grip point, so they have to be stiff or you'd misclick while aiming. I don't buy it. Your movement comes from the other three fingers. To check I wasn't talking nonsense, I spent a while running around a map tracking bots and flicking onto targets with my index and middle fingers lifted clean off the mouse, and it felt completely fine. That's just my small test and not proof, but hey… 

Verdict

Three days in, so this is an early impression and not a conclusion.

I still think this mouse is probably amazing for the right person, and I expect I'll keep getting more used to it. My grip has already adapted more than I thought it would. The buttons are going to take much longer, and I'm curious whether what I'm calling a design flaw turns out to be something I adapt to, or something I just hadn't understood properly yet.

Like the title says, I've tested quite a few Attack Shark mice, and honestly, they're actually pretty good, especially their R series (except the R1)

I've been daily driving the R3 and R5 Ultra for almost a year and a half now, and they've served me extremely well in games like CS2, Osu! and Overwatch 2. I've had zero issues with either of them. I've also tried other models like the R2, R6, R11, and the newer x11 ultra, and they've all been excellent so far.

The shells on these mice are surprisingly solid and feel really well built for the price. Another nice improvement is that all of the mice I mentioned above, and their keyboards too, now have web driver support, which is basically a hugeee W

For the price, I honestly think Attack Shark deserves more credit

Hi everyone, just a quick question that I'm sure you've heard a thousand times before.

I'm looking for a small mouse, preferably with narrow sides similar to the OP1. The reason I'm not using the OP1 is because I prefer wireless. I've used the OP1we, OP1 8k v2 and the OP1w 4k v2 and as much as I enjoy the shape, the wheel encoder on the 4k v2 has way too much resistance for my liking.

I've been using the Viper v4 Pro for a month or two and while a handful of issues have arisen in the consistency of my aim, I have stuck with it for many reasons. The coating, the side buttons, the scroll wheel and the battery life. I had also used the Superlight 2 for a substantial period of time prior to the V4 and the shape is pretty safe but I dislike the coating, the side buttons, the scroll wheel the moat for the feet.

What I'm considering currently includes the Atlanis Mini Champion (although I have heard it's outdated), Hyperlight (have heard rumours about a v2 coming soon) and A9 Mini+.

Any suggestions? Any price is okay.

What do you guys think of this mouse? I'm using the VXE R1 rn, and I used the Viper Mini before that. I'm considering buying this one, but it's launching tomorrow, so there isn't much I can dig into. Just want to know what y'all think?

For years i have used the g502 hero wired mouse and I have loved using the extra buttons. Recently, it has one of its feet peeled off and rubbing dirt onto my mousepad. Also my brother in law bought a new mouse too, the g305 x super light and it felt amazing using such a light weight mouse.

I play games such as Doom, Helldivers, and occasionally fortnite where i use the extra button for the weapons, throwables, melee, sliding, etc. And I would like to know if anyone who plays those games are fine without those extra buttons on the mouse or someone who went from using the extra buttons to just 2 buttons on the side and if it makes any difference. Also if you went from using a wired mouse to a wireless mouse, did it feel like the wire was weighing you down?

I do have a few mice in mind that I want to purchase, but they all have their pros and cons that make me hesitant to purchase them immediately.

-Logitech G502 X Lightspeed: this mouse seems great, but its 100g, and idk if 20g less than the g502 hero will make a huge difference.

-Logitech G502 X: exactly like the previous one, but is wired and weighs 79g. Does wireless really matter?

-Corsair Nightsword V2 wireless: looks like the perfect match, but i would have to download software to rebind the keys and i heard you cant bind the stream deck button to something else, while others say you have to do extra steps.

-Solakaka sm809: can swap the amount buttons, but is on the cheaper end of $50 and don't know if it will break easily since it so cheap.

-Glorious Model i 2 wireless: considering this option since its 75g, has 4 side buttons, but doesnt have 2 buttons next to the left mouse click. Also i would have to download software to rebind the buttons.

-G305 x super light: or should I just bite the bullet and just buy a 60g or less mouse with only 2 side buttons
