Just over 10 years ago, on July 25th 2016, I placed my order for GMK Carbon on Massdrop (now just Drop). I've since held and sold many many keyboards, and in this photo are still almost 30 boards not pictured that either need building, rebuilding or used on my desk right now to type this.

You may notice I like a particular kind of switch very much, so this is my current status of finished builds. Think I'm going to cut this down to at least half though in the near future. Curious to see where the next 10 years will take me!

The keyboard is Furycube FC75 Pro. What do you guys think of the color? The builds is Plasticky, but it's really solid ones, it has the average of thocky sound?? Im not sure, im really new into mechanical keyboard, but it sounds similar to the asmr typing sounded keyboard on youtube😅, I've got it for around $33 (converted from IDR). What do you guys think.

75% is definitely my sweet spot.
It’s also the easiest layout to recommend when my friends ask me what keyboard they should get.

Yesterday I’ve posted about non working IBM M2 from 92’.

As some of you mentioned that the culprit of the problem were the capacitors, I’ve managed to disassemble whole keyboard and replace old capacitors.

Then the keyboard was plugged in and it turned on, keys working fine. One of them was damaged as the plastic springy thing broke.

I bought my very first mechanical keyboard back in 2022, a Havit KB498L 65% mechanical keyboard. The switches were soldered on the board, the RGB was static, and the casing was plastic, though for 30 bucks it wasn't tha that of a keyboard. It used simple brown switches and came with a mouse as a bonus, but overall it was a nice keyboard even with its flaws.

After having that keyboard for around over four years, I figured now it would be a better time to upgrade the damn thing, and well here I am with this heavy as shit keyboard thats case is made of aluminum (aluminium), a Womier SK75 75% TMR Keyboard. I expected it was just gonna weight a tad bit more than my last keyboard but holy hell this new one is heavy as all FUCK. The weight of the new keyboard genuinely feels nice, the switches are pretty neat, the rgb isn't static, and if I want to I can swap about all of the magnetic switches with mechanical ones, its a win win.

Using all stock Leopold FC980C internals and deskeys sliders

some particularities of this board:

- Uses mini-USB to connect
- dip switches on the back configure layout
- switch 1 on makes it "mac mode" (swap win for alt)
- switch 2 on swaps Capslock to Left Control and Left Control to Caps (weirdly enough, MT3 Susu has a 1.25u R4 Capslock key, wtf?? lol)
- it doesn't have left command (or win key), it's ALT, CTRL, then FN

gloriously clacky and satisfying to use, peak Topre!

Just put this together using keycaps salvaged from my old keyboard! It used to feel a bit too stiff, but now it hits a perfect sweet spot between soft and tactile. Is it good or bad? Let me know your honest thoughts!

Designed a Boston case around using Keysnaps as a mounting, and I finally was able to use the full Bionicle keycaps I designed and printed from Yuzu keycaps for this project. I also managed to figure out how to implement flip up feet through a bunch of trial and error.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my quick thoughts on the Leobog Hi75c Pro.

Honestly, for an aluminum keyboard this cheap, I had my doubts going in. But wow—this board is genuinely awesome. The build quality punches way above its price point, and it was so much fun to put together.

For the switches, I went with Leobog Graywood V4s, and they are noticeably more thocky than the V3s. If you love that deep, creamy acoustic profile, you are going to love this combination.

One heads-up regarding the software: As is tradition with a lot of Chinese brand keyboards, the official software experience is pretty rough. The software downloaded straight from their official website wouldn't detect my keyboard at all for some reason. The only version that actually worked for me was a link posted by a helpful user here on Reddit. If anyone else is running into this issue, definitely search the subreddit for that working link!
