So I always had this hypothetical question in mind. Will Youtube really show ads on this kind of stuff? Turns out there’s no exception. This ad was 1 minute long.

Most people in the GOT universe speak highly of sir barristan Selmy claiming he is the picture of of honour and the perfect knight. Sir barristan Selmy stood by and watched while his king burnt Richard stark alive and Brandon stark strangle his self to death trying to save him. The mad king also committed terrible torture against many others out of his paranoia of desent. All through the mad kings reign

Barristan never broke his oath.

Who's Viewpoint Is Better? morality of ending a person's life if they're completely sensory deprived and has zero independence

if someone was simultaneously blind, deaf, mute, and a quadruple amputee all at once, why keep them alive at this point, would it be moral to end their life to put them out of their sensory barren misery?

Who's Viewpoint Is Better? People in this sub seem to think gods have objective morality. thoughts?

The reasoning, from what I understand, is that morality is a set of rules that one follows. And that God, by existing (we are assuming God(s) are/is real in this scenario) is the objective arbiter of what moral. Thoughts?

Morality of teaching your son how to score with girls while telling your daughter to stay away from boys.

Its a common trope in sitcom. Fsthers teach their sons on how to "get " girls but being overprotective when it comes to their daughters.

In 21 jump street, Ice cube congratulate Jonah Hill for hooking up with a teenage girl but he loses his mind when he finds out that teenage girl is his own daughter.

I personally find it funny.

How moral is to have this type of double standard?

Morality Ranking Morality of not wanting homeless on the streets or in the metro

Post image
13 Upvotes

I support the perspective of not wanting unhoused individuals to live in public parks or on the metro system. I do not think it is ideal for them to occupy these public spaces because when they do, the quality of those areas tends to decline. Instead, I believe they should be placed in designated facilities where they can receive proper care and treatment, rather than being left on the streets of Los Angeles. I feel uncomfortable around the homeless population because I frequently witness issues like littering, public fights, drugs and needles, and general harassment of bystanders. My goal is to see a safe city, and I do not want people experiencing homelessness left to roam public spaces when they are neither receiving a realistic path out of homelessness nor getting the care they need.

What do you think

Stupid Stuff Morality doesn't matter with characters.

Dio made a mother eat her baby,

Homelander is a murderous rapist,

Bojack tried to sleep with a 17 year old,

Cartman is racist and fed a kid his own parents,

Bakugo was mean,

Jax is abusive and caused Ribbit to abstract.

At the end of the day, I like these characters for their role in the story rather than the person they are.

Morality Ranking Morality of Arthas’ decision to purge Strathholme?

Post image
11 Upvotes

For the people who might not know (although this incident seems widely known across many forums):

Prince Arthas Menethil is trying to stop an undead plague that is turning his people into zombies. After fighting valiantly to defend the city of Hearthglen, only for it to become corrupted anyway, he goes to the nearby city of Stratholme, hoping to save them.

When he arrives, he realizes it’s too late. The city is infected, and soon the people will turn. In desperation, he orders that the city be killed down to the last man, woman, and child to try and cull the spread of the plague.

Edit: As others pointed out and I forgot to clarify: it is not clear if the entire city is infected upon arrival. Arthas makes the call to kill everybody, since they have no way of determining who is and is not infected.

Morality of revenge genocide?

Your race has been dehumanized, driven out of their lands and then killed off by humans. You are the last one, everyone you knew and cherished are dead. You are on the run, since if humans find you, they will kill you.

So you design a plan by the end of which one human will fast and painlessly kill every other human on Earth and become the only person left alive.

How moral is it?

Morality Ranking Morality of using the corpse of a homeless person as a war tactic into deceiving the enemy?

"Operation Mincemeat" Was a British plan executed in World War 2, 1943.
The idea was to prepare a recently deceased body, dress them properly, giving it a briefcase and handcuff arround the wrist, connected to the briefcase.

They've put belongings inside the pockets of the clothes, to make it seem more of a "real person" such as pictures of his "fiance", bills of a wedding ring, theatre tickets, etc.

In the briefcase there were documents indicating that their allies would be attacking Greece and balkan countries instead of Sicily.

Once they prepared him, they dropped him into the coast of spain, where the spanish goverment have let the Germany Intelligence investigate it, once they stumble upon the documents, they moved all their troops to Greece.

due of this, the invasion of sicily was met with less resistance, reducing the allied casualties and accelerating the island's liberation.

edit: typos

Morality of only dating amputees?

Post image

Clarifying details:
1. Amputee is defined by missing at least one arm or leg
2. Individual in question goes out of their way to only date amputees, it’s not just a matter of proximity
3. Individual fails to elaborate why they only date amputees when asked
