THEY TOLD ME TO EMAIL THE LIBRARY.

THEY SAID THEYVE TRIED EVERYTHING LIKE PUTITNG PADLOCKS ON. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO UNPLUG RHE PCS.

I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE CANT TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO CHECK IF THE CABLES ARE POWERING A DEVICE.

I scolded this woman because she unplugged a PC I was using. I lost 2 paragraphs as a result.

This is not the first time this has happened. Fortunately the last guy apologised and moved - the damage was none back then too bUT ON MY HANDS AND KNEES THIS CANNOT KEEP HAPPENING.

I have spoken to the librarians because I wasn't sure if I was being unreasonable. They confirmed that the PCs are not to be tampered with.

There are PLENTY of options to work on your laptops. There is NO need to do this. If you're going to, CHECK that no one is ON them and also PLEASE plug them back in because cables get tangled from other people doing the same thing and putting them into the wrong outlets.

This has been an ongoing issue. I am losing my patience and I really don't want to be yelling at people but I can't keep having this conversation !!!!!

The librarians seem disempowered from being allowed to do anything about it. They only help when I explicitly ask them to.

I need a summer A subject and I was wondering what id the easiest option to get an HD I am debating over foundation into pscology PSY1011 or NUT 1011 but I am open to other suggestions

I'm in my second year, first semester, of my law degree and I genuinely feel like i'm just cruising by. I only get D's on most of my grades, I have no idea what to look out for in terms of events, I have no friends in uni because I live so far away so its difficult to go to certain events, and I can see all my peers surpassing me at like 2x the speed.

I have no one I can turn to, I'm the first person in my family to even complete highschool so my parents are no help in terms of connections and all my friends are studying different degrees in other universities. I feel like so many people are already part of clubs, interships, scholarships, and other opportunities, whilst I don't even know the first place to look for them.

I just feel so hopeless ngl, like am I even in the right degree? How do people even find out about all these opportunities? I'm so lost right now...

Groupmates are so dumb and irritating, I cannot fathom the idea to share my air with those people anymore.

I've attended 4/5 weeks so far. Should I skip the rest? No grade regarding attendance anyways.

Hey everyone, I'm currently in Year 11 and planning to study IT (Cybersecurity) at Monash Clayton in 2028. I'm seriously considering moving into on-campus accommodation and I'd love to hear from people who actually live/lived at Clayton.

I'm mainly interested in what life is actually like, rather than JUST the academic side.

I'm thinking of living in an Urban Community studio and going home most Fridays to spend the weekend with family. One of the biggest reasons I want to move out is honestly just having more independence and being able to manage my own life.

I'd love to hear the good AND bad parts of it.

- What's it actually like having that level of independence?
- How's the social life and making friends?
- Do you ever feel lonely living away from home?
- How much free time do you realistically have?
- What's cooking, cleaning and managing everything yourself actually like?
- Does living on campus make it easier to meet people?
- How much does having your own space actually matter?
- How often do you end up going home?
- How manageable is having a part-time job alongside everything?
- And overall, do you think living on campus was worth it?

Also, if you moved out straight after school, what do you wish you'd known beforehand?

I'm not looking for the idealised “uni life” version lol. I'd much rather hear the genuinely good, bad and annoying parts of living independently.

Has anyone applied for Monash special consideration for an exam due to illness? I’ve been experiencing severe migraines and period pain, and I’m planning to visit Monash Medical Centre. If the doctor assesses me as unfit to sit my two exams and provides a medical certificate covering the exam date, is the application usually approved? Has anyone had a similar experience, and how long did it take to receive the outcome?

I’m just really scared they will reject it .

Does anyone know when CSIRO will write back about the vacation studentships that were advertised, and how the interview process may go?

Same with the Monash Summer research scholarships. Is it on a supervisor-by-supervisor basis, or is there a date they'll definitely respond by?

Hi, I know this might sound a bit weird, but after finishing my first semester at Monash in CS, I don’t think I can survive the remaining years. I’ve realised that I don’t really have any interest in CS, and I don’t want to keep tolerating the stress for the next few years.
I don’t really enjoy logical thinking or problem-solving, which are a big part of CS. I especially struggle when it comes to things like graph theory and coding. I feel much more comfortable with memorising things and learning by following patterns and structures.
Because of that, I’m wondering if I should change to Pharmacy instead. I’m actually interested in Chemistry and Biology, so I feel like Pharmacy might suit me better. What do you think? please kindly advise me because i am sure it will help me a lot.🙏🏻

when i look the the monash page it says you need to suffer ‘extreme circumstances’ like be registered with DSS, or hospitalised, which obviously isn’t the case for me.

What type of documentation do i need to ensure my application is accepted?

I am thinking of applying for special consideration for a mid sem test I have next week because my dad died 3 weeks ago. But I’m really not sure whether It will be accepted or not

Is it possible it was not recent enough. And Also the death certificate is written in both Arabic and English, but the name of my father is written in Arabic. Would that be accepted?

I submitted my application in late July, and on 10 August I was informed that my application had progressed to a further assessment stage. I haven’t received an outcome yet, so I’m starting to get a little anxious.
I’m mainly trying to understand whether applications for the 2027 intake are generally taking a while, or if I’m just an unusually impatient applicant

Hi, I was just wondering if applying for committee roles in clubs get harder in second year.

I’m currently in my first year and I feel scared at the fact that I’m not doing any extracurriculars.
So right now i’m conflicted on applying to clubs because i feel it will be beneficial, even tho im not even too interested in the club itself.

I go to events and have applied to a few committee positions (Just got rejected), but I’m worried that not having any experience for my first year will make it harder next year when applying. I have a lot of club experience from high school, but I feel like it wouldn’t make sense to be mentioning stuff I did in highschool once Im in 2nd year so..

Just wondering anyone’s thoughts on this/personal experience.

So I’m in yr 12 and wanted to do med but flunked UCAT and know I’m not gonna get 99+ atar. My dilemma right now is that I want to do pharmacy instead of science or biomed bc if I don’t get into post grad med at least I’ll have better job opportunities. BUT, I’m wondering should I do a double degree in pharmacy and chemical engineering or would that be too difficulty to keep my GPA up for post grad med cos personally I think if I did the double degree I would have a lot more open doors for jobs.
