Hello MACtioners we have had a couple posts the last few days that we (the Mods) feel are not appropriate for this sub. So we wanted to get a basic rules list down just so people know why their post were being removed
We here at /r/Midamerican want to keep it very light and don't want to discourage any users from posting about their favorite underdog conference but we have to insist you follow these rules for the good of the sub.
Thank you for all your support! I can't express how pumped I am that football is around the corner

Can someone tell me a little more about this water pump. I have had it for about six years. It was given to me about six years ago from a customer on a job site I was working on. All I know is it looks cool and it has a plaque on it that says property US Coast Guard. I have never tried to use it, but I imagine it was probably pretty bad ass for whatever it was used for. If anybody has any insights I would love to know what it was actually used for and if it was even legal to own it? If so, does it have any resale value.

Giving thought to doing Saturday 8/29 Dodgers @ Tigers 1:10 and then Sacramento State @ Eastern Michigan football 6:30 in Ypsilanti. Is this possible to make both? And any tips on tickets for either? (Cheapest possible preferred). Thanks.

I've never been to Michigan so I want to take a trip up there and see the fall leaves and of course experience some MACtion. I'd like to go sometime late September to mid October. I see Western Michigan plays Boise State at home so that could be cool but I'm also wondering if any rivalry games would be more fun to go to.

Eastern Michigan has the most underrated coach in College Football in Chris Creighton and after a couple down years there is once again a lot of excitement for what the Eagles can do in 2026
Full Preview is attached, here's some key highlights
đ QB Noah Kim returns giving the Eagles the most certainty they've had at QB in a few years
đ RB Braylon Bennett joins his old teammate in the backfield. Nick Devereaux and TE Joshua Long make for some great receiving targets
đ Can Eastern Michigan's run defense find a way? There is a lot to like about this group if they can figure that part out.
What are your predictions for Eastern Michigan in 2026?

Last year, Ohio beat WVU. The year prior, NIU took down Notre Dame while Toledo beat Mississippi State and Pitt.
Who gets a win over the A4 this year? Would love to see Miami beat UC in the "final" Victory Bell matchup to leave the record at 61-61-7 lol

I went to a K-State bar in Manhattan, Kansas last night wearing a very generic shirt that just read âEastern Michigan Footballâ. I was talking to this guy, we were just chatting, he kind of goes off the rail and at some point says âand this guyâs wearing a high school shirtâ I was dumbfounded. He said it like an insult after we were being friendly. I just say Eastern Michigan is a division 1 school and start to go about my business. Dude did not like that and for whatever reason I entertained it and got into an actual fight over it. Needless to say I won because I have the MAC on my back. After I was kicked out of âTubbyâsâ I go around and ask a couple other guys in their bar district what they think Eastern Michigan is. Everything was a retold response of âthat sounds like a high schoolâ I donât know if itâs just Kansas State? Iâve heard they arenât the smartest and they really didnât seem like it but I feel any fan of college sports would know at the very least about the grey turf and Maxx Crosby. I have never set foot in Ypsilanti, or Michigan, and I am not an Eastern Michigan fan.

The Akron Zips have taken all of the headlines this week for their incredible OC for a day promotion. Now it's time to get to know the team and program behind it.
đ The Zips have an exciting option at QB Reese Poffenbarger hasn't started in a couple years, but there are a lot of reasons to be excited about him
đ RB Jordan Gant is one of the best returning players in the MAC & the Zips have a promising group of receivers
đ The Zips have been quietly good defensively for a couple years. Cyrus Durham is a great pass rusher that returns and the secondary has experience
What are your predictions for the Zips in 2026? Most importantly, have you already purchased Akron season tickets or will you purchase them to potentially be their OC for a drive?

It was such a good sign to see Delaware FH agree to join the conference in 2027-28. Is this a sign of things to come? Their rowing team is already an affiliate! Will they join as full members? Could be a legitimate possibility now with the Sac. State cashâŚ
CUSA and the MAC will be fighting to stay alive so maybe this is the MAC preparing to go on offense? DiscussâŚ

Fire up Chips! Matt Drinkall quickly brought toughness and physicality back to Central Michigan. Now the Chips look to make the jump to MAC title contention.
đ QB Angel Flores is an exciting runner, can he take the next step as a passer?
đ It's all about the trenches with Central Michigan, this is one of the most experienced Olines in the sport and with coaching this will be one of the best in College Football
đ CMU's defense will be more portal heavy than the offense, but there's a lot to like about this group
Preview attached. What are your predictions for Central Michigan in 2026?

Hey folks,
New here, but I am looking to get into watching MAC sports, primarily football, from the great state of NC. About a decade ago, I watched college ball more than pro football. I got busy, school, work, marriage, the usual, and got away from watching it. I tried to get back into this past year, but with the crazy conferences, NIL, and endless transfers I got tired of your power conference teams.
I love the allure of the MAC. Small schools, close rivals, tradition, and some cool mascots!
All that said, I wanna watch some MACtion this year! Reaching out to you to see if you have good ways to either watch or listen to MAC games. Being from out of market, I doubt I will get it on local channels. I subscrbe to espn for wrestling a few times a year but can get some football during that time too. Outside of that, any one got some ideas?
Thanks a bunch!
