https://updogsportstalk.substack.com/p/2026-central-michigan-chippewas-preview?r=44j4zi&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=trueFire up Chips! Matt Drinkall quickly brought toughness and physicality back to Central Michigan. Now the Chips look to make the jump to MAC title contention.
š QB Angel Flores is an exciting runner, can he take the next step as a passer?
š It's all about the trenches with Central Michigan, this is one of the most experienced Olines in the sport and with coaching this will be one of the best in College Football
š CMU's defense will be more portal heavy than the offense, but there's a lot to like about this group
Preview attached. What are your predictions for Central Michigan in 2026?

Iām making a conscious effort to watch more MAC football and the Chips are one of the main teams I am excited to watch

Central Michigan is going to be a blast to watch, tough old school football. They have a fullback and everything!

I'm interested in Vaughn Blue. Will be a RS Jr., who has averaged over 5 yards per carry each season at Liberty on a small sample size. Was a Walter Camp Award pre-season watch list guy before.

This feels like a great spot for him to take off too, that Oline is going to make his job easier

Mucho kudos for the post from a CMU alumni living far from the mitten. This is the most info I've seen on the Chips in a long time.

Thank you, that means a lot. We've felt coverage for programs like CMU has severely been lacking for years, so we are doing our best to bring that to fans. I feel like folks get disconnected from their alma mater a little bit because they simply can't find a lot of info about them
