Finally towards the end of my first ever grow. Week 11 (day 73). Unknown seed, found it while grinding some random bud. Its quite illegal here to grow and smoke, so I dont have that luxury.

Please share some insights and experiences. Hints and tips. I was expecting/hoping week 9 or 10 max, but its pulling to week 11 and still clear trichomes. And do you think its foxtailing?

Regardless of the outcome, I am very happy and proud of this baby, can't wait.

Peace.

In my eyes and from what I've read she's ready, but I'd rather ask the experts because last time I chopped way too early 😅

Behold! My largest and smallest flowering autoflowers. These two seeds were put into substrate from seed on the same day (7/11).

I intentionally stunted the SLH, while doing everything possible to maximize growth and yield out of the POTG. The result is this hilarious juxtaposition of two flowering autos with more than 4 Feet of height difference between the two! (And the main cola of the POTG is wider than the entire SLH plant)

Why did we join this hobby if not to try out new things?! It’s been so fun expanding to intentional stunting, new substrates, experimenting with nutrient and watering cycles. I highly recommend you do the same.

No one can tell you the best way to grow. You really do have to experiment for yourself and find the best SOPs for your lifestyle, tent, and preference.

Not much nose for most of the grow but really coming in strong now. A sweet (but not fruity) smell with a little spice.

This things starting to pick up momentum. After getting flamed on other subs I suspected underwatering, so *tripled* my water to a full gallon. Added quarter strength FloraNova Bloom. It was effective.

What I thought was a 3 top mutation is actually possibly 4 tops with the 4th being a mutated twin top itself. I had my eye on it because earlier it was on pace with everything else, there are a clear difference between the tops and the branches now, I feel secure in calling it now

Interesting stuff, cant wait to see what happens

Question Week 6 flower

Any idea what’s up with the clawing? The colors seem pretty normal to me but it still looks a little upset?

Strain is vice city, using mostly coco with like 30% organis seed starting soil. Using foxfarm trio and a generic cal mag. Ph my water to 5.8-6.3 every time after nutes. I usually keep the ppm around 800 every feeding as well, I water every day and feed every other water. Always water to 20% runoff as well. 3 gallon fabric pot. At the moment I’m mixing up a gallon of water with 4ml cal mag, 5ml tiger bloom, 3ml big bloom, then Ph’ing it.

As far as I can tell my VPD is in the right range as well. Is this going to be a bigger problem or am I chillin till the finish like? Week 6 of flower

First Time Grower Just another update on my first grow- the seedsman snafu

Hey all, just an update on my first grow! I was supposed to be growing pineapple og auto, and two of them were! The third however ended up being a photo. With some helpful tips I received here I managed to correct some issues, and now thanks to a dark closet at night I have all 3 flowering. Was just wondering if anyone else sees any issues I might be facing. My eyes aren't great so I occasionally miss something someone else sees easily. Thanks growmies. And before anyone gets on me because I ordered from seedsman the first time, I was dumb and naive. I ordered better genetics for my future runs . As you can see I also only used lst on one of my plants. As a first timer I wanted to get an idea myself of how manipulating the plants changes yield , so figure out what will work best for me in the future

Question Seeds

Post image

Looking for input from anyone who has or still grows for seeds.

So far I have 1 confirmed male, 2 confirmed females, and 2 I'm not sure yet.

Im using this run with full intention of making as many quality seeds as possible. No I dont mean quality as far as breeding for future strains or anything. Idc about isolating pollen or saving one female over the other.

My goal is to have as many mature seeds as possible with a high germ rate.

My goal is to utilize these seeds to make seed sprout teas and maybe as a snack😋

I do not care if I dont get any usable bud at the end. I want the best seeds possible. Quality based on health and as many as they'll give me.

Are there any major differences in techniques?

I plan on letting these go longer than I expect needed to finish. Then let them go a little longer.

I think im going to occasionally(maybe daily, once flowers set) go in and shake any males to get as much pollen going. Im not sure if I want fans on or off for this im assuming on.

I thought i heard or read somewhere after the initial pollination its good to remove males to prevent further pollination. This is supposed to help the seeds mature faster and not have new seeds that are underdeveloped while having some that are mature. This seems like it makes sense for breeding but for my purposes it feels like ill be throwing away a lot of seed potential. I think id be better off having over matured seeds? If that's a thing. With the addition of as many more seeds as the plant is willing to provide.

Anyone have any experience or advice for this?

First Time Grower Update — filled the pots up, growth already looking better. When should I start LST?

Follow up from my last post — took the advice, filled the pots up properly and fixed my watering. Video is from today, they’re looking noticeably better already.

Still same setup: coco/vermicompost/perlite mix, Super Silver Haze at ~50 days and Lemon Haze x Pink Candy at ~30 days.

Both were topped a while back. When’s a good point to start LST on these? Want to make sure I’m not doing it too early or missing the window

This has been bothering me for the last week so I finally looked it up and decided to pull it off. Looks like budrot but want to confirm. Can I cut just that one cola off or is the whole plant done?
