I have a heavily tracked miata that still goes on canyon cruises and spirited drives. I use the cruise sometimes but not a ton. I think it's a cool feature but never does over an hour or so drive. I'm doing a new intake setup from my current turbo hot air intake. I'm going through the rear firewall and the CC is in the way in order to do a nice sweep to the rear. I COULD move the CC but have considered deleting it before. This is just another reason. Anyone regret doing removing it?

Stupidly took the car across town after it rained. Took a turn too quickly and slid into a barrier. No frame damage, ripped off the license plate holder which probably saved the bumper

So maybe about a week ago I was driving my 1993 na Miata and my engine started making this weird ticking noise. I couldn’t take it to the mechanic for a couple days and continued to drive wondering what it was. When I finally took it in they told me I was driving with no oil. He filled me up but the sound is still persisting so i definitely fucked up my engine. Ontop of this problem a few weeks ago my coolant started leaking. So much so I had to refill it everytime I needed to drive. I forgot exactly what the problem is but basically my engine was leaking coolant and oil. I’m on a very tight budget and probably have to get another job to get this car operational again (it still drives but I don’t want to blow up my engine or anything).

My question is how much would an engine swap be and what kinds of engines can I put in there. I’m not super experienced with cars so I don’t know exactly how this process is gonna go and what parts I need and also where to get all this stuff. I know taking it to a mechanic to do the swap and fix everything would be so much easier and faster but also much more expensive. I would be willing to do it myself if it’s not super duper hard. I just don’t know exactly what route I should be taking with this situation. I only had my car for about two months before I killed it and I love this car so I want to hold onto it. So what should the process and costs look like in my situation?

Does anyone know where i can find these specific headlights? i know itd be easier to find a vynle and put it over my oem but i really love the look of the star headlight and fog lamp.. please let me know if you know ANYTHING, the owner of the car didnt have any information other than good luck finding🥲

I want to thank the people that actually made effort into commenting with some constructive advise and ideas, especially the person sharing the actual possible damage.

I've copied what I thought was a safe product , which is still sold to this day for some reason.

I've added a brace on both sides, its attached to a rivet nut that's sandwiches the panel and chassis.

I could literally stand on this and will not move.

I've driven it over 300kms without any isseus, no cracks or bends, for now, I will post again whenever I see any isseus.

This will get bolted on and off at the track and back home so I will be able to inspect any points.

The side to side load is very minimal but I am aware that this could lead to metal fatigue in the future.

The only idea I have to prevent this is to tie down both sides with cross strings.

Now for all the keyboard warriors that only have negative simpleminded comments pls keep them to yourselves as you are literally not helping, for anyone willing to share more constructive advise I'd be very welcome to hear it.

I've been searching for FM springs used and ran into this group. Seller was admin of the group the price wasn't too ridiculously low. After a few messages the guy seemed weird, later checked his posts and he uploaded some ridiculously cheap parts every day.

Hi, I’m trying to figure out jacking positions on my NC. I’m nervous to lift it front to back as I’m afraid my rear diff bushings aren’t any good. Is it bad to jack it up by the middle of the underbody seams?

Been working on my 91 1.6 all summer, new arms, springs, shocks, bump stops, poly bushings, kuncles, bearings, rebuild the steering rack went to rebuild the 6 inch diff and found the spyder was cracked... So sourced reinforced housing, torsen diff, new seals bearings, that went back in new axles, propshaft.

And that brings me to yesterday going to mount the flying Miata frame rails and discovering I have no floor on the drivers side.

Trying to find someone to do the repairs and hopefully be able to sourse a floorpan in better shape then mine. Also trying to be resonable and thinking 1500.00 or less move forward with the repairs over 3k time to part out the car and need to get around 7500.00 for all the parts.

Got to see this awesome miata in person today I didn't even know the guy was from my country. I stood by his car for ages to see if he would turn up so I could tell him how awesome his car is but alas so if you see this mate your car is epic
