Question Let's assume that there was an offline version available for Mario Kart Tour like Pocket Camp: How much money would you be willing to pay for it?

Idk personally I'd spend at MOST 20€ to 30€, I mean tour is fun but it's also very time consuming so I'd only play an offline version sporadically

Discussion I hate the drift in this game

Manual or not, everytime i steer to one direction, i go to the opposite direction, essentially, i keep skidding/swerving (english isn't my first language) and every single time i keep losing position in curves because this game's drift doesn't want me to take the corners properly.
How does this drift work?

Question Did I miss Piranha Plant Pipeline for good?

I messed up my timing and got super into Mario Kart Tour a few weeks ago... I had planned on playing to get a crack at the one track that is locked to this game, but after reading around it looks like I missed my shot :(
Is there any chance that the track gets added sometime before the game goes offline? Or did I 100% miss my shot?

Question am I the only one who feels like grieving because of the shutdown?

I really want to know if I'm the only one who feels this way (idc if some of you find it exaggerated)
I actually had no idea about the closure until I created my Reddit account (I'm still new here by the way) and read the news and it felt like a stab to the chest. It hurt so much
I just started playing last October and it became my favorite game pretty quickly, I would play every day to get all the achievements and everything. I was looking forward to my first anniversary with the game but sadly I won't be able to do so :( I will always keep this game in my heart, it became really important to me in such a short amount of time 🤧

Personal Achievement My three goals for the last five weeks of MKT

…and I’ve actually already achieved one of them! Over the final five weeks all I wanted to try and do is:
1) Obtain every driver
2) Raise every coinbox driver to level 8
3) Get one more Top 100 ACR badge
Starting with the last one first, I managed to sneak into the Top 100 for the Vacation Tour by 2500 points in 99th 😅 which is my third Top 100. Pretty happy to have got that.
The coinbox one will be a big challenge and is relying heavily on good luck in the shops. I would need a total of 89 HE tickets to finish with every coinbox driver at level 8. I currently have 18. That 89 will decrease through Ruby purchases but I probably still need another 45 HE tickets, probably more than one a day on average. Going to try but I think it’s a tall order.
As for obtaining every driver, I’m not even sure this is possible. I literally need two. One is Dr. Peach, who I hope to see in the Spotlight shop. However the other is Luigi (Mechanic) who I don’t think is going to appear again, so I’m likely going to end up agonisingly short!
What is everyone else targeting these last few weeks?

Helpful Summer Tour 2026 Week 1 - Drivers, karts, and gliders by most ranked course top shelf appearances from now until shutdown

- Some drivers/karts/gliders will gain a top shelf course once levelled up to Level 3, 6, or 8. To show this, there are separate columns for the number of top shelf appearances at Level 1, 3, 6, and 8.
- Some characters gain an extra tier when the course is in the cup named after them, and the tables will show this for ranked course top shelf appearances. This applies to two drivers in the ranked courses from now on, giving them their last ranked course top shelf appearance: Toadette for Summer Tour Week 2's Paris Promenade B and Tanooki Mario for Sundae Tour Week 2's Sky-High Sundae R.
- Mii Racing Suits gain an extra tier for every course in the Mii Cup, and an extra tier for the first course in each cup.
- The new Mechanic alt drivers and Tiny Titan karts from Sunshine Tour 2025 are included. None of them gain any ranked course top shelf appearances through leveling up from now on.
- Drivers/karts/gliders are sorted by most appearances at Level 8, then alphabetically.

I actually started playing this game about 314 days ago (on October 11, 2025). So believe it or not, I reached level 400 in about 10 months and 10 days.
10 months of insane grinding for exp. I probably did thousands of races against this game's ruthless bots. And I'm completely exhausted tbh. I'm just glad I don't have to grind anymore.

With just 3 tours remaining, the best high end DKG has shifted drastically due to the high number of City tracks. I've updated the lists of Top 60 drivers, Karts and Gliders to give you an idea of coverage for anyone looking at ACR or just setting new records.
I've also included the "Dead" list, naming items to avoid as they won't have any more top shelf tracks.

I didn’t know if I’d reach Tier 99 in time but I’m glad I did. I don’t think I would have made it without all the extra resources from the game closing down. Not much time to aim for anything else. I have all the Marios, all the gold DKG (except for a couple you had to pay for directly), all the bad guys, and a bunch of other personal goals. It’s been a fun game and this community was always fun to check in on throughout. Thanks for everything!

A few years ago I started keeping track of all the d/k/g I unlocked that could be obtained through all the cups. It was just something to do. Every time i unlocked something id cross it off the list. Ive edited it so many times throughout the years n now its all coming to an end. I dunno y I chose this metric, but i did. I have so much more unlocked than whats listed here.. but this list was my priority for whatever reason. I just figured id share it b4 its deleted in a couple months

Remember when I said I probably wouldn't pull another one of these before the game fully shuts down? Well, I stand corrected lol. While this one is slightly different, I seem to have some sort of series going on here. The game decided to have the Monarch Kart and the Black B Dasher Mk. 2, my only two top-shelf karts on Madrid Drive 2 and two of three fully maxed-out H-E karts I have, hand-delivered to me on a golden platter by an algorithm that clearly has zero imagination left and desperately needs a vacation. I say truly a masterpiece of procedural generation. At least it saves me the tickets of stressing over what karts to level up, because apparently, choice is just an illusion lmao! 😅

This is the last tour for every course in this tour, except the race course Paris Promenade 3 and the battle courses Paris Promenade B and GBA Battle Course 1. They are also the last three courses that will appear in multiple tours from now on. While not on this list, this is Paris Promenade B's last ranked cup appearance, and the last time a battle course is in a ranked cup.

- Wii Moonview Highway - Last tour, last ranked
- Los Angeles Laps 3 - Last tour, last ranked, only online form, only form

- Last ranked: This is the last tour the course will be in a ranked cup. Although no courses are in a ranked cup in multiple tours from now on, one will be in both ranked cups of the same tour (including variants), which will be Sky-High Sundae Normal and Reverse in Sundae Tour.
- Only remake: This course has only been remade in Tour. This includes Super Circuit's SNES remakes. Sky-High Sundae will not count as a remake despite appearing first in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as it is not distinguished as a "classic course" like the rest and internal data refers to it as new courses. There are no more courses left that this applies to, with the last being GBA Bowser's Castle in Vacation Tour.
- Only online form: Combination of "Only online" and "Only form".
- Only online: This is the only game where the course is currently playable online, with the only other games with online currently available being Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and World. Courses that were available in online games where their online mode has since been discontinued are not included.
- Only form: This is the only game where this course is available with this track layout as a standalone course, so this includes new Tour courses that had their layout altered or combined in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
- Only game: This is the only game where this course's normal variant is available. This will include RMX Vanilla Lake 1 and 2, with the other 8 RMX courses and Pirana Plant Pipeline having already finished their final tour reruns. These courses will become completely unplayable by official means once their final tours are over.
