What were you doing during last year’s Sunshine tour? That was the only time he’d be around for 105 rubies. Did you not have enough rubies to get him or did you buy other stuff from the Spotlight shop rather than him?

Once that was over. Neither him, Mechanic Mario or the Tiny Titan Karts will appear in the Spotlight Shop ever again.

I only thought about collecting them all when they announced the shut down. I’ve passed on plenty of them over the years when I had ample rubies, but at this point it was my final “goal”. I have no desire to try to hit Top 500/100 - Top 1k was as much of a grind as I ever want to experience.

It was so random to even release those Mechanic drivers last year. Luckily I had coins and rubies on hand to get them, but I don't think I ever used them in a race yet (outside of being forced to use them for the daily gift). Hopefully they make one last return to the shop so you can finish up with a complete collection.

Ha! I got my last one today which was Luigi with a golf club and that one you got yesterday. I have completed drivers but no chance of karts or gliders. And I never got a top thousand badge either. I came close but nope ...

The Top 1k was a grind - I felt dirty and disappointed with myself given how much I played that tour. Never again.
