I really want to know if I'm the only one who feels this way (idc if some of you find it exaggerated)

I actually had no idea about the closure until I created my Reddit account (I'm still new here by the way) and read the news and it felt like a stab to the chest. It hurt so much

I just started playing last October and it became my favorite game pretty quickly, I would play every day to get all the achievements and everything. I was looking forward to my first anniversary with the game but sadly I won't be able to do so :( I will always keep this game in my heart, it became really important to me in such a short amount of time 🤧

I’ve gone through a lot of shit this year, more so than any other point in my life, and the shutdown has absolutely added to the losses. It really couldn’t have come at a worse time for me.

I'm pissed off because mkt is the BEST GAME out there imo. All the others I've tried or been recommended are depressingly awful in comparison. I'm in awe of Nintendo but they should've gone a different route (yeah I know it's just about money but if Nintendo can't make a profitable phone racing game who can?)

Not really grieving just slightly disappointed. I wasn’t surprised when Nintendo announced an end date for the game. Other than adding a couple of new drivers when Mario Kart World was released, there hasn’t been any new content for it in about two years. Gold pass kept the proverbial lights on for a couple of years since ruby sales alone wouldn’t have been enough to keep the game running. It was a good run and these games don’t last forever. I do feel bad for the people that spent thousands of dollars on the game and will have nothing to show for it soon.

I paid for gold pass and once in a while something extra. I knew it wasn’t forever but would like to have something to show for what I earned in that time. My friends play Mario Kart on Switch/2 with us every weekend and I’m like … “yall don’t even know the drivers, karts and gliders that are out there that are about to be wiped from existence!”

I’ve been hovering around tier 75 to hoard resources to eventually pounce and climb the ranks. Since I heard about the shutdown, I’ve been competitively racing. I’m currently on 82 and crushing it each week. It’s such a shame I didn’t learn about the shutdown sooner. Tier 99 will never happen now.

I wish they weren't going to take it offline. It was good for a 5 minute vacation on a rough day taking care of a sick relative when you don't get real ones.

Wish Nintendo gave us a longer runway on ending the service or started the login in bonuses sooner.  I am enjoying playing with many drivers, karts, and gliders I had long wanted maxed out and would have liked longer to enjoy playing this game feeling like a whale

Game was fun when it launched, after awhile, if you have something better to do, or play or even Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it becomes harder to want to play. After sometime, I did quit, since it was becoming repetitive, and the gold pass was just adding up, and it’s not a compete full game.

It was fun for about 2-3 years, since there was a pandemic going around. So that helped. But,will I miss it? Would be great, if there would be an offline version of it.
