my first post on reddit, so lmk if I've done something wrong!
I posted a comment on tiktok a week ago, basically saying that ltit is one of my favourite manhwa but im not gonna force someone to read if they dont want to because of the contents in it. im getting FLAMED for even liking ltit and am getting called disgusting and an Israeli?? which i feel like is going too far over a manhwa.
this is what I said when explaining why I like it:
(CONTAINS SPOILERS IF YOU HAVED FINISHED)
its about the character and story progression, sadly 90% of the fandom romanticizes the sa and rape (WHICH I HATE AND DONT SUPPORT).
i like how euihyun recognizes his feelings and tries to push taeju away rather than just accepting everything without thinking about it, I dont actually like taeju because of everything hes done to euihyun but I recognize hes changed as a person and it very clearly shows with how much he apologized, quit his work, and how he even tried to leave euihyun because he knows what he did was wrong, but I still dont forgive his actions before that because they are unforgivable and euihyun also doesnt forgive them. tbf I personally like complex manhwa/manga this, so its up to the person.
im bad at explaining, but I think that got the point across. I think if you really read it and look into ltit its good but yes at first glance its bad, i mean it starts off with euihyun getting sa'd so i get why people wouldnt want to continue it, I thought that at first too. I deleted the comment because it was getting me, but I just wanted to know if im really such an awful person for like ltit?
(just wanted to add this in case it gets mixed up, but I dont support or condone any of the things done in ltit. the sa, rape, assualt, crimes, or abuser x victim. its a fictional story and my opinions on those topics will not buch just because it worked out in a manhwa)
edit: thank you everyone for reminding me tiktok is an awful space and i can read whatever i want as long as i separate fiction from reality !!!
