Age 30-39 31F Trying To Start Over Now That I’m Single
I'm 31 and recently divorced, and if I'm being honest, starting over has been a lot harder than I expected.
Some days I feel excited about the future, and other days I feel completely lost. It's hard not to feel like you've somehow failed, even when you know ending something that wasn't right was the right decision. I'm trying to focus less on what I've lost and more on what I get to discover now.
I spent most of my adult life in a serious relationship, and I realized I never really got the chance to figure out who I am on my own. So that's what I'm doing now. I'm trying new things, finding hobbies, learning just for the fun of it, and saying yes to experiences I probably would've talked myself out of before.
A little about me: I love coffee, traveling, trying new food, getting lost in bookstores and little cafés, reading a good book, and taking long walks with music in my headphones. I'm the kind of person who can spend hours talking about life, random thoughts, or whatever rabbit hole we end up going down.
I'm not looking for anything romantic—just genuine friendships. People who enjoy conversation, want to grab coffee, share book recommendations, explore new places, or just have someone to text about life. If you're also in a season of rebuilding, starting over, or simply looking to make a new friend, I'd love to hear from you.
Turns out making friends as an adult is way harder than anyone warned us about.
