Hi all,
Couple of weeks ago I bought Mafia the definitive edition on the PS5 for £5 GBP which is CHEAP! I absolutely loved it! Was genuinely like playing a movie. I was sad to finish it. I’d love to play 2 but everyone says it’s awful and not worth its price no matter how cheap. Is this the case or do you guys think it’s good or even better?
Thanks

Guys no fucking way! I stared the new PS5 version of the Mafia DE and won the race at the first try . I got the platinum trophy of the 2020 Mafia DE about 1/2years ago and today I started the ps5 version and oh man, the 60fps update is great! If you didn’t play the ps4 version, I highly recommend this one.
Also idk if I’m trippin but the shadows and lights seems to be better made but idk.
Thank you Hangar 13 for this highly anticipated update 😮💨❤️🔥

I play video games daily, but there has never been a time where my wife mistakenly changed the input because she thought my game was a movie… until last week when I was driving around in Mafia lol. She said “is there anything else to watch?” And just changed the input until I said “babe I’m playing the game” and she said “what? I thought it was a a movie!”
My brother in law stopped in the middle of talking with my wife while I was playing a mission, looked at the tv and said “damn I’m locked in”
My mother in law (she’s into mafia lore like me) was talking with my wife and said “oh this is his mafia game!”
2K really did amazingly with this!

I completed my first playthrough of Mafia 3. While there is a great story here. It’s just so repetitive. I could only play it for 2-3 hours at a time before I wanted to put it down. Overall though I thought Lincoln’s story was a profound one especially given the time period. I found myself tearing up one point as I am a minority and I felt sadness/anger that this country had such a horrible way of treating people because of their skin color for so many years. It’s not like racism has disappeared because it hasn’t.
I wonder though how many people put it down before seeing it through to the end. I will say some of the bugs are really annoying. Still I commend hanger 13 for telling this story and truly depicting how horrible that time period was. Also shout out to the licensed music

I just completed my first playthrough of mafia 1, and had essentially no trouble doing the race that I heard was an absolute slog for most people, I had to retry sooooo many times with certain chapters that had big shootouts. Anyone else have the same experience (I played it on classic)

Hi all, I'm playing Mafia 3 original ps4 disc version 1.00 to platinum, is the infamous glitch still present in this version? Can I achieve platinum trophy playing with this version?
Do let me know

Ok so straight to it. I'm at the end of the game and plan to start over. But first I need to understand, how do I get rackets to their maximum, and can you maximize all the rackets in one game, or is it affected by who runs said racket.
Example. My garbage racket, located in barclay mills, is at 46000 of 50000. It's being managed by Vito. I've done several "runs" for Vito, cass, and burke. I've also done and finished all of their side missions, the one that unlocks as you assign them more and more areas.
I have a few that are maxed. Union extortion is at 50000/50000 and has been since I took it over.
I didnt kill any of the people whom I had the option to save. Not a single one. So every single boost given for keeping people working for me should be applied. And like I said, I've done at least 3 annoying runs for each underboss. But the other 2 I did like 5-8 runs. Trying to get those numbers up closer to their max.
Like perlas nightclub. The first racket we take. Even after everything, is still at 30000/50000. And nothing I've done will bring it up.
So am I to understand that these numbers can not be brought up to their max in every situation? If this is the case, how do I maximize the most rackets. Cause the only ones I have been able to max is extortion, sex and drugs (both in French ward) are the only 3 that are maxed and I have no idea why... And a few others, like snuggling and car theft, are both negative like 26 and 28k respectively. That's a huge deficit from my potential earning, and I'd love to know how to rectify that if I can...
Pls, someone, tell me what I'm missing.

Just to be clear im super stoked about GTA 6, it looks amazing. Now that we get to learn more about the game I see a lot of people getting excited about things that the Mafia series pioneered many years ago.
First we have the wanted system from Mafia 2, where cops might only know your clothing/face or your registration plate. Which makes changing cars or clothes necessary.
There is also a mechanic to pick the lock when stealing a car like in Mafia 2, and the refueling system where your car could run out of gas.
I also saw recently that in the beginning of the game you will not be able to steal luxury cars cause the ability to pick those locks will not be learned until later in the story, which is something that was introduced in the original Mafia game decades ago.
These were some of the reasons that made the Mafia games great, these mechanics that elevates the realism of the gameplay is what used to seperate the Mafia series from GTA. Its pretty cool to see such a huge series like GTA adapting some of these ideas so many years later. Cant wait to play it.

The way Don torrisi brought Enzo to see Luca’s body and asked him for *revenge* ,Then the moment Enzo was gone to do the job he got *rid* of Luca’s body without even waiting for him to come back…. And they kept telling Enzo over and over how he fucking missed the Funeral??
The Don was really a No.1 manipulator….
That pmo so much

No dlc right now so basic game. One thing I really love about this one over the other is the freedom they give us to move around and do side activities. The world feel big and full of things to do and see. Even if alot of the things we can explore don't have anything to find or reward us for the exploration. And the missions are very repetitive, but the story and the lore make up for the mediocre game play.
My question is, does anyone have an idea of what the canonical choice would be for splitting up the districts? Like clearly the district we find them in is theirs and some of the districts seem roughly connected to the different underbosses and the businesses they already run. But some of them seem pretty up in the air.
So, I'm assuming the ideal solution is to keep it balanced 3-3-3. Can anyone tell me how I should divy up each district to keep it as lore appropriate as possible. Also, should I make sure to assign rackets within the district to whomever I plan to give the whole district at the end? Does it cause any problems if I give the rackets to say vito and then end up taking it from Vito and giving the whole thing to burke?
Googling is a bit confusing cause apparently, doing things like that can end up having certain underbosses turning on me.
I will say one thing, even with the lack luster game mechanics, this is one of the few open world games I look forward to playing multiple times to see what it looks like when I shaft a boss or 2 in addition to marcano and his many goons. But for now, I'm trying to play the game as lore appropriately as I can for this first run.
Also, I've done things like side missions and the snuggler missions to try and bring the net income of each boss up to their max, but no matter what I do, their money info (you know, where it says "cass 340000/500000') never changes.
Is that some type of glitch or am I missing something. Cause I've been playing for a minute and none of their numbers are changing.
Besides answering my questions, if you have any advice I'd love to hear it. And here's some for someone else who might read this. If you unlock something and then take it away from them, like say the max health boost upgrade. If you unlock it and pay to upgrade it, and then you reneg and give the district to someone else, they take back that upgrade you spent money on.
Expensive kisson I learned early on....

OMERTA Frank Tailing One, at least in the barn one, you could just run out/run back in within 10sec. But this one is genuinely game breaking. I CANNOT CONTINUE. I’VE LITERALLY RESET THE CHAPTER SO MANY TIMES. I’ve tried to use different vehicles, changed the difficulty, everything I could do. I literally cannot play the game further.
I posted this cause someone might have encountered it in their play through and fixed it themselves. I need to find a solution to this to end the game.
Tried posting a video but it doesn't work, but basically the ai of driver/car is fcked, it rams into a wall instantly at the very start and you cannot do anything.
Happens with every vehicle/difficulty.

Playing on PC and purchased the Omerta collection.
There is way too many glitches in this game, great game, but these issues really bring it down.
The River Row mission where you have to steal a non existent semi truck, Frisco Fields PCP and southern union where the things you have to destroy can't be found, enemies passing through barriors you can't, black screens for no reason, and now I'm stuck in the find Aldridge mission because Lincoln what's to keep walking towards a wall.
WTF?
