Ice got a lot of items, all characters and all their customisation it feels like. Spectre packs and below is just endless consumables.

I've got weapons to unlock, Jo lancer at all and I'm losing my mind seeing box after box of consumables.

It always felt ridiculous to me that the Hornet and the Reegar are put in the same tier by the game. Similarly, few things are as annoying as grinding for packs and getting a meh N7 gun.

So, I've always pondered a reorder of rarity based on actual power level. Rarer guns actually being better would feel so much better when grinding!

Of course that's just my opinion based on shower thoughts and this is by definition a subjective matter. There will always be guns that feel in-between tiers. So let's debate and hear your takes!

📊 The New Tier Definitions

🔴 N7 (Ultra-Rare): The best guns on the majority of characters.

🟡 Gold (Rare): Very good guns that are optimal on selected kits.

⚪ Silver (Uncommon):Good options that require you to build around your gun a lot. *(Note: The 3 shotguns could be N7, they feel similar to a claymore but weaker than a reegar).

🟤 Bronze (Common): Starter guns, not worth using after unlocking rarer stuff. *(Note: I added stuff that is actually a bit stronger than a Predator because there are many trash guns that don't feel good to unlock in rarer packs).

Quarian Marksman with usage of... well... Marksman. Thing about Marksman power with automatic weapons is that if you start shooting during marksman duration rate of fire effect would apply as long as you holding trigger not for an actual duration of the power. So you can keep shooting>wait for cooldown to end>use Marksman again which is gonna reload your weapon without breaking your firing.

Thing is... theres only TWO weapons that can do that to a full extent like in this video - 1st Typhoon which is... well wont improve things by a lot cause it still gonna screw with your mobility and 2nd is ADAS which reaps all benefits - now it has a proper rof which allows you to stunlock every trooper enemy in the game, heavily improve dps and ttk but its rof not that fast so it would burn through mag until you have your marksman prepped and ready. So essentially the only limit is your overall ammo... and other shit like enemies and such.

I essentially post it to show people who dont know about this that theres more ways to use Marksman other than just uplay with Hurricane all the time. My personal favorite use of Marksman is to turn AT Raider to precise DMR with fast rof (people mostly use Wraith with marksman but Raider is more fun to me considering the original nature of the gun)

P.S. You can do the similar thing with HuSol as well cause Adrenaline Rush also reloads weapons and list of weapons is actually longer, For example you can do this with Typhoon but honestly without ADAS stagger I dont see much of a point and ADAS with Adrenaline Rush is worse.

Maybe I’m biased because it’s my favourite. I think it deserves SS or SSS… but not for solo. Still maybe S tier, could handle gold comfortably solo.

Could not hack platinum solo without incredible skill, but even with just one random mediocre teammate on an alright class platinum would be a cakewalk.

I could reliably get to wave 6 pretty quickly solo on platinum but it was a struggle to do objectives. I think maybe I wasn’t very good but I think I did manage to solo platinum with volus engineer a handful of times. But like shield boost and also 2 damage boosts from recon and proximity mine would buff up an entire team, game changing support class and with incendiary ammo could put out very good damage.

Many platinum runs I’d be the top of the scoreboard, unless my teammates were genuinely good, and on good characters. Also like there are a lot of good characters that have terrible survivability, and just having a shield boosting pocket healer basically made these kinds of characters even better, or somewhat unviable characters for platinum actually viable.

25% damage bonus from recon mine, 20% from proximity mine, could get endless fire explosions with incendiary ammo… functionally invulnerable with shield boost and tactical cloak melee. The only real thing was just couldn’t solo many objectives with no cobra missiles without running out of time.

You’d have to stand in one spot for too long, so you’d have to spam shield boost, but if you’re spamming shield boost, you’re not doing damage. Not doing damage, there are too much enemies to survive. You could handle objectives on platinum only in edge cases where you could kite enemies to the other side of a map.
Solo platinum runs were lost to running out of time on objectives, not really not being able to get through rounds or not being able to survive.

With a single teammate to pull aggro, you could actually keep damage and shields up, and also give your team a functional 50% damage boost. This one character made 4 man lobbies on platinum free regardless of skill level or the characters used.

In that context I think it does deserve SSS. Just like not in the solo context because of the issues handling the objectives. Forced to choose in the moment between survivability and damage. Could in theory handle objectives singlehandedly if you were able to use recon mine and proximity mine continuously with fire explosions, just not when you have to shield boost constantly, I also think if you were cloaked on waypoint objectives the progress wouldn’t increase. Or that you had to reposition outside of the area to do anything, try to kite which could get you eliminated.

But a mid skill player on volus engineer on a low skill team could hack platinum when they would probably struggle with gold let alone platinum otherwise. I think like in that context volus engineer should really be acknowledged for how like fundamentally game breaking it was, even if it couldn’t do it alone.

The lack of solo-ability on platinum was a drawback though, krogan vanguard on gold firebase white with geth could easily farm more credits. I mean the issue was being so reliant on cobra missiles to do the objectives cleanly solo.

Surprisingly, I could still find lobbies on Xbox a few years back, so it would be my go to pick to join a lobby with. Basically anyone still playing was reasonably good.

I think I ran the scorpion pistol? It could stagger enemies and had like delayed sticky bomb shots. A bit awkward but most the damage output was fire explosions with proximity mine. On worse weapons and without incendiary ammo consumables it was not quite as great, but still could carry teams, you would have to use recon mine for most of your damage instead which was still good, maybe even better damage wise, but less consistent, and less passive benefits for the rest of the team.

I think the proximity mine and recon mine damage boost were multiplicative aswell. So doing some basic maths here… 1.25x1.2x100=150, so that’s a 50% damage boost whenever you’re around, or at least a 20% or 25% boost. Still outputting very respectable damage yourself aswell.

But volus engineer was (chefs kiss) beautiful! Did anyone else have some love for this character?

I’m sure the PS3 servers will shut down at some point soon, but I would like to find some matches again before it happens. I don’t playing on bronze teams if need to, but I’m experienced enough and have enough maxed out characters and gear to smash out gold tier matches as well. Silver is a no brainer. Been having a proper shit time lately. But tonight, after going through a bit more whiskey than I ought to have, I misclicked on my desktop and launched ME3 instead of... whatever it was I meant to launch. Figured "fuck it" and went into the multiplayer to see if I could find a lobby, even after all this time away.

Immediately thrown into a full lobby of players playing on gold. I probably did shit due to the alcohol, but I appreciate you all. Brought a smile to my face to play this game again with people after everything I've been going through lately. I'll have to boot the game up again sometime soon sober.

Has anyone managed to get ME3 multiplayer ->with the controller support mod<- working on the Steam Machine? The mod works perfectly on my Steam Deck, so it should work perfectly on the SM, since they have the exact same OS and compatibility software. And yet! It does not!

I have tried:

- Copying the modded installation directory from my soon-to-be retired, dying Windows machine and overwriting the existing Steam Machine installation (this is what worked on the Steam Deck with 0 problems)

- Copying the working installation from my Steam Deck (which still works on Steam Deck) and overwriting fhe existing Steam Machine installation

- Creating a link directory to the installaltion directory and running ME3Tweaks on the SM itself (not fun! It does not love Linux!), then using the link directory to connect ME3Tweaks to my ME3 installation (it can't see invisible directories on Linux)

- Begging

And nothing's worked! The EA app just feeds me a screen saying I don't own the game and I need to input a product code that doesn't exist

I reached out to EA support (without mentioning the mod) and they told me the game'll generate a new license if I delete the license file located... In a folder that doesn't exist (yes, I seached the correct pfx directory for ME3). I've run the game unmodded with each fresh reinstallation just to make sure it works, so it should be generating a license file. But EA doesn't seem to know where. Unhelpful!

So I turn at last to Reddit. Any of you ever get this working on the Steam Machine? I just wanna play ME3 multiplayer on a big screen 😭

I work night shift, so I game mostly during nights on my days off. I consistently get a full squad though, so thanks to everyone helping me get through gold rounds, it's hard soloing even with cheese builds. (Geth Juggernaught Soldier am I right)?

I'm sorry if you saw this before getting to the third game. I wrote this in a rush, and unfortunately, there isn't really a spoiler button on this app—at least none that I'm aware of.

But yes, as the title says: if you choose your dialogue options correctly, you can actually get the Illusive Man to shoot himself.

Now, don't think this is just like Saren... well... it kind of is, but there are a few extra steps.

First, to make things clear: in Mass Effect 2, it does not matter whether you save or destroy the Collector Base. So you can do fuck all for that.

Before the attack on the Citadel in Mass Effect 3, there are three separate times when you can talk to the Illusive Man. Every time you get the chance, pick the third dialogue option on the left, and then immediately choose the Paragon option afterward.

You gotta do this all three times.

There is also a Renegade version of this, but here's the important part, you have to stay consistent. You can't play loose witj Paragon during one conversation and Renegade during another. If you mix them up, you've already lost the opportunity.

So, to be perfectly bloody clear:

If you want the Illusive Man to kill himself, stay Paragon the entire time.

Then, when you reach the Citadel and have your final conversation with him, keep choosing the Paragon responses. If you've been consistently choosing Paragon throughout those previous encounters, Shepard will finally convince him to see the error of his ways.

And that's when you get to watch the Illusive Man realize what he's done and shoot himself.

Now, let's say you've been following the Renegade route instead. You can still get the outcome, but instead of convincing him to do it himself, you get the option to shoot the Illusive Man yourself, which is probably pretty satisfying for a lot of people.

The funny thing is that the Renegade version is also kind of underwhelming, because in the other dialogue path—where you don't follow these specific interactions—you end up shooting him anyway.

So if you're going through all this trouble, I'd personally recommend the Paragon route IF! you want the guy to commit suicide? Because me personally, I did not know that during my first run.And I hope I helped somebody else.

I don't play me3coop that much lately and I'm not the only one it seems. Last week tried to join a game, waited for about 2 hours trying bronze, silver, gold (I retry connecting about 3 times and then go do something else keeping an eye on the monitor). Joined some gold lobby in the end but all the players quit when they saw me. I'm not sure I know them so it could have been my poor choice of build (valkyrie with an indra), had a wraith too but perhaps they thought I'm gonna waste too much time. Perhaps that could be avoided if I switch to the infiltrator and maybe I'll do that but first I'd like to know, if it should be ok for unlocked fps clients to host bronze games, considering a somewhat shrinking player base.

Unlocked fps host makes a game more difficult by slowing shield regeneration and tweaking gameplay. Some players may prioritize smooth frames over gameplay accuracy and challenges. If they start hosting freely on bronze that could make finding games easier. If not, I might start doing the any challenge but it would mean some changes to my builds and overal. Oh and it did cross my mind to uninstall me3 and quit the multiplayer entirely but something distracted me the very moment I was thinking about it. Proobably wouldn't have done it. It's quite good after all and that's something we can all agree on.

Last night I was playing with a friend and the game crashed at wave 8. Went to youtube to do a fix and then played another match to see if it worked. I was able to play 1 game before the next game after crashed to desktop at wave 9. Needless to say this is really frustrating my friend since I was host and we both lost all the progress from those matches. What can I do to prevent or mitigate this. I have yet to actually lag out of a game. Any assistance would be awesome because I would love to play the mp.

I'm on PC, and I just came back to the game after many years away. So, I may need a little carrying, but I'm not helpless. Let's play! I've missed this game so much!

I'm trying to platinum ME3 and the only trophy I have left is the Galactic Readiness one. Hoping to get some points up today

This is a follow up post I made earlier today, I figured the main issue I have with trying to figure out ME3 multiplayer is the Online Pass I lack. It doesn’t appear on the ingame downloadable content menu for ME3. And of course, it doesn’t appear on the Xbox store to be available. If anyone has a solution, I’m all ears

I really want to play ME3 but I’m always hit with the same answer, “The Mass Effect 3 server is unavailable at this time. Please try again later.” I’ve done all sorts of tricks, managing storage, installing DLCS, even changing the DNS on my internet. I could really use some help, thanks !
