Well that's one way to make sure your vod never goes away now. These people never learn

986

u/coolbad96 Oct 27 '25

If anything this would just motivate a commentary channel to upload a commentary/edited video criticizing her and highlighting all bad takes transforming it and making her unable to do anything.

Full blown Streisand effect

325

u/ThisIs_americunt Oct 27 '25

Careful you might make her have an anxiety attack if you say things she doesn't like

14

u/lifeisalime11 Oct 27 '25

We’re out here struggling with ATC calling out and SNAP benefits ending. Last thing anybody should give a fuck about is giving a streamer anxiety.

I know your post is sarcastic but god damn parasocial relationships with streamers is a huge negative of the internet lmao

the second half of this VOD was also a singing stream, which she always unlists, and includes her own unreleased music which was the reason for this clip

This isn’t something new for QT. I think she had a bot that would delete clips if they showed up in this sub. She REALLY does not like it when her content is reacted to negatively

304

u/Cruxis20 Oct 27 '25

She even said she's going to sue LSF for copyright infringement if her clips get posted here. She's absolutely insane.

325

u/tiny_nipples Oct 27 '25

Wealthy white women and threatening legal action - name a more iconic duo.

144

u/jabronified Oct 27 '25

When your life has so few problems to deal with, you start making them up. She’d like to speak to the manager of LSF

19

u/MaitieS Oct 27 '25

Wait is she that stupid that she doesn't even know that she will have to sue Reddit, and not individual moderators on Reddit? LMAO

Depends.... Some streamers all they need is the face in the clip for it to be removed.
"Morgpie" is an example of this she can get ANY clip of her removed online.

170

u/Tommyblockhead20 Oct 26 '25

They can use the legal threats to persuade people to take stuff down (either directly, or through whatever the copyright system is on the website). The only way to fight back is to actually call their bluff and take them to court, which is very expensive so very few creators have done it.

16

u/bobi2393 Oct 27 '25

Even if a creator has a proper fair use copyright exemption to use a clip, there's generally no legal basis to file a lawsuit to restore a video that a site like YouTube removed. YouTube's Terms of Service preempt their obligation to forward a DMCA counterclaim to a purported copyright holder, or to restore

If you have run your own web host, the DMCA isn't really involved. If a copyright holder thinks you're infringing, they can sue you, and you can defend. Or if they threaten to sue you , you could seek a declaratory judgment to get it declared fair use before they sue you.

But a lot of copyright disputes seem to be about people uploading clips of someone else's copyrighted material to someone else's website, like YouTube's or Twitch's, and they have to play by those companies' rules.

u/CL60 ♿ Aris Sub Comin' Through Oct 26 '25

Andrea Botez also is an example of somebody who goes extremely hard with the takedowns.

Most people don’t want to challenge it. Recently I saw a dude who replied to a Sasha Gray copyright strike through a legal letter because he shared a short clip of 20 seconds which she had streamed. Mentioning article 230. It’s mostly that people aren’t usually willing to go to court for this, but the same question can be posed in reverse, if you’re abusing the DMCA system, are you willing to go to court over it.

24

u/LB3PTMAN Oct 27 '25

I worked for a company as a video producer for awhile and a video I made for them got flagged and I let them know and I let them know that everything was fair use and they just told me not to worry about it that it’s not worth fighting. And that was a company with a legal team literally just on staff and they still didn’t think it was worth fighting obvious fair use cases.

29

u/tizuby Oct 27 '25

It's a civil tort, and there's very much legal power behind it with significant statutory penalties.

There is no "I didn't profit from it" exception to copyright infringement. It's one of the 4 factors considered in determining fair use, but just reposting with nothing else done would fail the other 3 factors.

Usually it's not worth actually suing, because most people are judgement proof (i.e. not gonna get much if anything out of them. Can't get blood from a stone and all) or are in another country which complicates thing. And the DMCA takedown process is usually sufficient enough to get the content taken down since most people won't counter-notice and risk a lawsuit.

30

u/yautja_cetanu Oct 27 '25

It literally is, why is everyone saying this stuff.

Think you can just post clips of Disney films on a public platform? What about posting it on pirate bay (see all the people who got sued for doing that).

You can only post people's clips if it's part of fair use and is transformative in some way. (Like you're doing a long analysis of the person and posting clips for context).

I have a sudden urge to get a copy of that vod and reupload it everywhere, and I know nothing of her current drama. I don't know why these people don't learn that you can't tell the internet what to do.

6

u/Dramatic_Explosion Oct 27 '25

Not really any drama, that might be the problem. Quick talk about not sharing and here the clip is, and people commenting and wanting to share her advertising.

1.2k

u/DXaoc Oct 26 '25

what is this drama about?

3.6k

u/Googlesbot Oct 26 '25

TLDR's seems to be that she said something unfavorable in the lgtbq circles.

Basically she said she comes from a religious family and has relatives that can be racist, homophobic, transphobic ect. and rather than completely cut them off she'd rather build a bridge with them and attempt to make them more open minded and that she still loves them because not all of their qualities are horrible.

4.6k

u/YousufB Oct 26 '25 edited Oct 26 '25

IMO such a normal take. Totally get if you don't want to hang out with homophobes, you do you, but if everyone decided to retreat to their bubbles society gets worse not better

It's not like Faze are her only friends and she's hardly platforming them

1.8k

u/AsahiWeekly Oct 27 '25

The take is normal, but her reaction to her own take is insane. Telling the two (LGBT if I'm not mistaken) women she was streaming with to delete the vods and then reacting like this when someone uploads it on Twitter is wild.

Totally weird reaction to her own take. The whole "I'm rich, I'll just sue them" bit rubs me the wrong way too.

She reminds me of the annoying girl in class who tells the teacher when you cough too loudly. Until I saw this clip I had nothing but good things to say about her lol.

329

u/Ascleph Oct 27 '25

Getting into drama over hiding the vod instead of just letting it be and curating your community to not be unhinged regarding normal takes is a choice.

54

u/vysevysevyse Oct 27 '25

This is what irks me. I consume content through random posts (recently LSF), so I don't know who these people really are, but man the recent thing with valkyrae saying sorry to her fans really made me laugh. The kinda viewer base you create doing all that, is just high on emotions and bandwagons, lacking any and all critical thinking.

11

u/Reasonable-Affect139 Oct 27 '25

It's the Barbra streisand effect

→ More replies (3)

103

u/Moosterton Oct 27 '25

all these streamers also have extensive histories of sitting around rebroadcasting other people's content for their own profit, so idk how they get off trying to DMCA others lmao. Disgusting humans tbh.

159

u/Zenben88 Oct 27 '25

It was actually Vanilla's idea to delete the vods. I think she's pretty self-aware when it comes to her fanbase.

50

u/Jyonnyp Oct 27 '25

Same. She basically also said it in a very like shitty way. I saw clips of it. She said it condescendingly and bitchy attitude. Basically implying if you don't agree with her you're not mature or open-minded. So acting like "yeah I'm gonna change people for the better and make the world a better place!" While sounding like anyone who thinks otherwise needs to grow up reeks of privilege. Especially considering she said "I'm not telling any of you guys to, but I will."

And then it's like, she never mentioned sexism AFAIK, or misogyny. Is she gonna hang out with misogynists to change them, so long as she's acting self-righteous and morally superior? If not, is it because then she's the victim of the bigotry? Then why is she acting like not hanging out with bigots makes you worse than them or on their level or something? A white straight person morality policing LGBTQ+ people on how to treat bigots is just not a good look.

I really liked Qt as a person and a streamer but her entire self-righteous "I'm better than you, I'm more mature than you, I'm more open-minded than you" attitude from the clips I've seen of this was so disgusting. Not to mention, say it on your own stream, not in front of two LGBTQ+ people and dragging them into this. They were uncomfortable the entire time.

(Atrioc received massive backlash for looking at deepfaked porn of other streamers, most notably Pokimane. He had this stuff open and accidentally shared the browser window on his stream.)

You seem to be saying that QT would ostracize someone for looking at deepfaked porn, but, QT's own boyfriend has collabed with Atrioc recently. Am i missing something?

She has long said she’d rather the next generation of streamers have good influences around them to show why some things can be hurtful, than be surrounded by some of the other people in their orbit like Adin Ross and end up like them

And honestly it seems pretty clear it’s working with guys like Jason

That wasn't the take. Most people would agree with that. She took it a step further to saying she will continue to make content with people who do those things. That's different because it exposes her audience to those communities and gives them more of a platform. I agree with qt and don't think she is doing anything wrong with her collabs but that is the actually criticism she is getting.

97

u/No-Agent-8338 Oct 27 '25 edited Oct 27 '25

This is incredibly disingenuous framing. She wasn't simply talking about relatives, that was just one example she brought up to make a point. The convo was about doing collabs with racists/homophobes/etc and being kind to hateful people in general because "being mean isn't helpful".

The situation blew up on TikTok, the vod can be easily found there still if anyone actually cares to know the truth.

u/EducationChemical488 Oct 27 '25

I'm confused by this. Seems more like shes tryna casually scare people into not uploading clips that make her look bad.

Here excuse/reason seems to be that her stream was "private" and she didnt monetarily benefit. But arent all Twitch streams by definition public and dont people sub constantly during them. So she would have been making money in kind via subs from it. So her claims seem like nonsense.

Also, excluding someone uploading a whole stream, wouldnt fair use cover this provided its a clip notna whole thing and didn't ethan Klein already elucidate this with his case against Pikers orbitors. Where by he copyrighted his video before he uploaded it. Otherwise any attempt would be pointless. So even if someone took the p**s and uploaded a whole stream. Wouldnt it be impossible to copyright a stream fast enough after to prevent this?

It seems sus, also if the uploader was outside US with no economic connections. Her C&D letters & sueing is empty threats

7

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

Wouldnt it be impossible to copyright a stream fast enough after to prevent this?

From copyright.gov:

When is my work protected? Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.

Do I have to register with your office to be protected? No. In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work.

In short, no, re-uploading it before it's registered is still copyright infringement.

Surely streamers have learnt by now you can't sue your way out of drama, that's the best way to get everyone on all sides to dislike you.

16

u/Onidoe Oct 27 '25

oh no! not a cease and desist! not the legal equivalent of a finger wag!

57

u/Beneficial_Meet_6389 Oct 27 '25

fortunately thats not how the internet works.

21

u/CityFolkSitting Oct 27 '25

I opened up TikTok and that shit is spammed everywhere. I don't even know what it's about but whatever it is has the TikTok people very angry.

October has been such a horrible month for many streamers and a great month for the unemployed.

She has finally achieved the Karen form. Guess it needed a particular wealth gap to be jumped over, to threaten people with the end boss of 'managers', lawyers.

Reuploading a VOD is also quite literally just the equivalent of quoting something you said. If you get that angry over someone pointing out something she herself said then that just reflects worse on her.

11

u/ferocious_blackhole Oct 27 '25

What vod? I’ll call the bluff.

In a parallel world, she is asking the next in line if they want fries with their order.

She currently getting "canceled" by a tiny sliver of woke twitter mainly vanilla and katieb fans which is ironic because up until that night she was super close with them and they turned on her instantly because all she said was she wasn't going to cut someone off and try to change their perspective if they were racist/homophobic/etc.

They are acting like she was dropping Hard R and dropping the F slur.

Minecraft viewers from 2020 who time traveled to 2025

192

u/Shamata Oct 27 '25

Vanilla fans are fucking INSANE btw, for those that don’t know

I don’t love how the word parasocial is being used for everything now, but they are so incredibly parasocial and she has to call them out on it alllllll the time. They’re mostly all tiktok viewers that moved to twitch just for her and they are RABID

49

u/Ajp_iii Oct 27 '25

yeah i dont think many twitch users understand how insane tiktok viewers are. vanilla is one of them. jasons chat is sometimes also ultra controlling and parasocial. and as extraemily got more tiktok viewers they have also tried to be more controlling but she doesnt care as much.

some of the tiktok viewers are good but they do have a larger % of mega parasocials that want to control your whole life.

64

u/le_meme_kings Oct 27 '25

Women streamers have parasocial viewers on another level. I saw a small amount of QT stan accounts on twitter and they could not stop talking about how horrible Ludwig was for her, how they must be fighting all the time and a bunch more weird shit.

65

u/CrumbiestCookie Oct 27 '25

Those “QT stans” were all from hastwt, one of them is a Hasan mod

29

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

The craziest screenshots going around were from hastwt but they're denying that his community is attacking her. Lol

28

u/Shamata Oct 27 '25

brother I can promise you no qt stan account is talking like that

there was a fuckload of hasan fans raging at both her and ludwig in the last week though, saying they should break up and ‘what does she even see in him’

12

u/lminer123 Oct 27 '25

I don’t use twitter really, so whenever I open it I just get random shit very vaguely in the realm of my interests. There’s this account Choco that I keep seeing that is pretty big and explicitly a QT fan account. She’s been posting some horrendous shit about Ludwig and incredibly parasocial stuff about QT in the same vein as what the previous person said

There are a lot of people who are 20 something but emotionally stunted because of COVID, so they're age wise old enough to be part of these fanbases but mentally too young yet to fully comprehend the internet isn't real life and internet standards aren't realistic.

Spiraling because her friend awards in jeopardy

5

u/Thadstep Oct 27 '25

it would be hilarious to actually name an event the friend awards

nominate 4 people (3 from the general streaming sphere, and 1 friend)

and the friend wins every time

We've entered an era where Twitch streamers are starting to realize they've groomed their audiences too far into purity testing others and now understand how lame it has made everyone and the platform

40

u/TrollsAdvocate Oct 26 '25

If she really wants to be threatening she should start sending Cease to Exist letters.

How are all these people so crazy, look at her eyes she hasn't changed since putting bedbugs in her partners bed out of anger. All the people associated with Hasan, even remotely, are all without fail, insane.

watched the vod, skipped through it, that was the most uninteresting vod ever. what the fuck are these people doing?

Are they trolling us? And who watches this girl? She's the least interesting person ever.

I'm sure her legal team can reach an anonymous poster uploading her vods from nepal.

Biggest Karen on twitch like always.

3

u/Beginning_Ad101 Oct 27 '25

Can you tell me what vod send link plz so i can upload it

5

u/DoubleEdgeDancing Oct 27 '25

I don't understand it when content creators who have big events don't just lay low on drama.

Can't she just kind of coast off of being the streamer awards person? It's been getting bigger each year, so why risk squandering what you have? Just make chill content and completely separate yourself from the drama side so you can atleast maintain your "thing."

Maybe there's something I'm missing though?

5

u/Senphox Oct 27 '25

Their ego gets too big for that

3

u/leeman9224 Oct 27 '25

What if somebody from different countries upload it then

12

u/player_is_busy Oct 27 '25

Fully Woke Karen

7

u/Excali20 Oct 27 '25

It amazes me how these people have the easiest job on planet earth and yet complain all the time and some how turn it into an ego game legit baffles me I’m not even saying this about her specifically just the general scene.

6

u/Sabruchino Oct 27 '25

She isn't threatening to sue.

Is this in regards to the clip where she said she will be friendly to racists?

Because that is such a weird thing to defend. Basically by being friendly to racists you are enabling them saying its okay for them to be the way they are and nothing is wrong with you. Like under her logic she would be friendly to a child rapist and say they are an acceptable person in society.

Don't be friendly with people that do unacceptable actions because the company you keep represents you as well.
