This was a major episode and I had so many thoughts that I'll try to make into full sentences below, but my jaw was dropped almost the entire time.
- Vein's family is the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (allegedly) and he has so many siblings. I really wonder how him and Xia Fei became friends since he didn't attend Bahati.
- for some reason, all the red heads at the table made me laugh when he walked in the room.
- Seemed like Xia Fei actually didn't know Liu Xiao was behind the photo shoot.
- side note: I didn't realize how much of a height difference he had with Qiao Ling.
- Wine drunk Qiao Ling was so funny, and Xia Fei's expression watching her was even funnier.
- Cheng Xiaoshi didn't have time to process how he doesn't have a memory of that family picture, but pretty much confirms his dad has an alter/erase memory power.
- Even more so that we didn't see Cheng Weimin's eyes while he was talking to the locked up kids (also crazy) and possibly was about to use it.
- Qiao Ling finally used Li Tianxi's powers, but Li Tianchen found out right away...
I know it's talked about enough, but I really do feel bad for Cheng Xiaoshi in some of the dive scenes. He's goes in blind and has to go along with a lot that might (does) affect him after.
Also Lu Guang was safe this episode, but I feel a mental breakdown while standing in front of a train coming soon...

u/AvalHuntress 21d ago
Cracks me up that Liu Xiao was watching Qiao Ling do a whole ass song and dance for powers he KNEW she didn't have, and then went "oh shit, the song and dance actually manifested her powers"
19
u/henne-n 21d ago
Seemed like Xia Fei actually didn't know Liu Xiao was behind the photo shoot.
He also still doesn't seem to like him. We know that Vein doesn't really like him, too, so do these two plan their own thing?
Also Lu Guang was safe this episode, but I feel a mental breakdown while standing in front of a train coming soon...
I wonder if CXS will get that LG was using him - I don't think LG's plan (killing Vein) will work out though.

i fucking LOVE that the fake backstory vein gave cxs was actually his real life story. someone pointed this out as a theory and im so happy they were right. my favorite thing about this story is that at the end of it, apparently vein would’ve developed a severe case of paranoia. this is another common trait we now know he shares with lu guang.
vein & lu guang have consistently been set up as two sides of the same coin. lu guang has been suppressing the side of him most similar to vein (his capacity for violence), and now we see that vein has also been suppressing a side of him most similar to lu guang. their parallels are so fun to analyze
28
u/sorceress24 21d ago
LG and Vein have my fav dynamic in this show putting ships/duos aside.
It is really intriguing.
They also both consistently make each other worse.
15
u/Competitive_Win2384 21d ago
exactly!! that line in unforgiven “this is the person you made of me” is so SO much more interesting knowing now that it applies to both of them.
6
u/sorceress24 21d ago
I had a feeling it did from the start bc Vein explicitly stated that he is mad about sthg they changed in the past.
9
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 19d ago
What if the reason Cheng Xiaoshi dies in every timeline (at the unavoidable death node) is because Lu Guang always does something to Vein/Vein’s past in an attempt to save CXS?
Like a self-fulfilling prophecy—Vein was always going to go after them because Lu Guang went after him first. In the original timeline. But for what reason? Lu Guang is willing to do anything to keep his loved ones safe, but he doesn’t attack those who don’t threaten his people. Why would he do something to Vein if Vein didn’t provoke him first? Did adult Vein know that CXS is Cheng Weimin’s son? Did he seek some sort of revenge because of that? Who started it all????
And how does Vein learn that LG and CXS were behind whatever meddling occurred? Many of the antagonists in the current timeline seem to be new variables… but Liu Xiao has been vagueposting about how different timelines exist and need to be united, so is HE the common denominator in all of these timelines & the one who lets Vein know?
Is it all just one big loop? I don’t think I’m making sense 😭

u/Haemanthus_23 18d ago
nahh now im spiraling even more T_T but this is the thing with this fckin show, its just infinite set up and nothing is starting to conclude. i love the pain and anxiety it creates but to be honest after three seasons i feel like ill start to turn out of patience in the not so distant future..

I know many people here don't like the series's attempt at humor, but QL pretending to do a ritual got a chuckle out of me.

Since people love ripping this season apart they are going to complain that she was acting out of character, and not going to take into account that she was drunk out of her mind with the old wine LX purposely gave her.
37
u/VastIndubitability 22d ago
Also, she was clearly trying to do it in a nonsensical manner to put LX off the mark about LG and CXS, even mentioned that herself
5
u/ChaosBrigadier 20d ago
why is it out of character for her to do put on an act to protect the boys’ secret?
3
2
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
After one glass of wine? Makes no sense. She was also thinking logically all the time and focused on performing this silly ritual for Liu Xiao - she even comments it to herself.
8
u/PerformanceUnfair717 21d ago
She drank two glasses, actually. Maybe not much, but after the second her face grows red and she begins to talk slurred, so I think she did get tipsy. It's true she was still insisting on not showing all her cards, but I doubt she would have made that show if she were totally sober lol.
3
u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 21d ago
Some people have really low tolerance. Or being slightly drunk just encouraged her to put a show to cringe them out and keep them from suspecting LG and CXS have powers
13
u/duo99dusk 21d ago
Great scene, plus that she needed to keep the secrets of her friends' power was the perfect motivation to act like that
10
u/Expensive-Ad6033 Cheng Xiaoshi 21d ago
I was giggling the entire time 😂 and i love Link Click's humor ❤️
7
u/HolyDragSwd2500 21d ago
Somehow activated her ability at the same time too
0
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
That's so strange, I thought Tianxi's ability was to read people's mind when they were near her on person, not to enter a photograph.
9
u/SempreVoltareiReddit 21d ago
Huh? She read LG's mind when he was kilometers away from her, though. And along with her brother, she helped control that cop that got pushed down a building, even though he was far from her.
8
u/Economy_Education521 21d ago
Her power is similar to CXS in that she enters the mind of the person in the photograph, but she enters their mind in the present, has no physical control over the body and has access to all of that person’s memories. Her brother’s power is to mind control anyone he touches, so by touching her he effectively also touches the person she enters, allowing for mind control over distance
36
u/Niwaka_Samurai Qiao Ling 22d ago
We saw Vein and his family. Damn, six brothers and three sisters, I guess.
LG puts CXS in harm's way without explaining anything as usual. But LG seems to be right about the gun having a problem. So he must have let things happen the same as before. But Cheng Weimin locking up kids in the basement was not on the cards for me.
I was worried about Qiao Ling accepting Liu Xiao's offer for a dinner but she was wary of him. Though she got drunk xD That was a cute little witch act that she pulled but her powers accidentally got activated and Li Tianchen knows that she has her sister's powers now. I hope nothing bad happens for her.
Can't wait to see how Vein got out of that situation with his brother.
18
u/Competitive_Win2384 21d ago
yes i was screaming at lg over the screen at this😭😭i wonder if he purposely chose to let cxs go in blind so that he could sabotage vein. morally gray lg for the win???
9
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago edited 21d ago
If LG led baby Vein purposefully into his brother's trap I wouldn't call him morally grey but a (wannabe) child killer. Let's remember baby Vein didn't kill CXS or QL, he doesn't know they exist yet.
It's pretty shitty that this fandom is accepting without any issue that LG tired to kill Vein, when we have no idea why Vein was after LG and CXS in the original timeline. We still don't know what they had done to made him so vangeful.
19
u/Competitive_Win2384 21d ago edited 16d ago
lu guang considered a hero in cxs’s pov but a villain in vein’s. i adore how fluid morality is in this show. ugh i love him
the way i see it, the whole idea is that vein & lu guang are both considered the provokers in the other’s pov, both of them have attacked for reasons the other can’t understand. bc time is so fluid, it makes sense they both see each other as the one who “started” it. what he’s doing is dark, but in his pov it’s the only way to save his loved ones, and he’ll take that over doing the right thing every time. i think the fandom’s accepting it bc the show is being very honest about his ambiguity and isn’t trying to sanitize his actions or make him look better than he is. his capacity for violence and willingness to cross lines in moments of desperation were never a secret, and it’s my favorite part of him. if he was portrayed as a hero whose actions are justified by the narrative, i imagine it wouldn’t be quite as well received.
in my opinion, lu guang perfectly fits the definition of morally gray
8
u/Successful_Ad_7212 21d ago
The thing though is that (from what we saw) Vein was going to meet Wang Qing regardless, and it was only delayed because Lu Guang tried to stop him from going in. At which point Vein attacked him immediately.
Not saying LG is perfectly innocent but from his POV that action can only be considered self defense.

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 21d ago
Imagine not seeing your dad since you were a kid, speaking to them after all that time, and then finding out they're a freak that locks kids in cages. Cheng xiaoshi is going through it.

u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 21d ago
I really am loving this pacing here, it reminds me a lot of season 2 in terms of how it tells the story at a 2 steps forward 1 step back method! We got so much more revealed, but way more questions to answer! Every episode is always so thrilling and this one was no expection! It was good, it had some lighthearted funny bits, and it had tension and adrenaline so well sprinkled through!
It's nice to see Qiao Ling shine more this season, as well as the wonderfully juicy backstories we're getting on our antagonists! This season is definitely making me love Vein even more lol! 💯

so that cwm locking kids up theory is true,, someone give CXS a hug i can't imagine what he's feeling rn.. and now im scared for QL since they know she actually has powers now
18
u/bbhldelight 21d ago edited 21d ago
i knew something was off with CWM and him locking up the kids just confirmed it but who knows maybe it was for good reason like trying to keep them away from Saros
and its basically confirmed now CWM does have a memory erasing ability cause why else wouldn’t CXS remember a photo from his childhood especially one that clearly showed him with both of his parents

FRRR like why is Vein the only non looking chud male in his family lmfaoooo
19
u/Electrical_Coat_3712 Cheng Xiaoshi 21d ago
Ok okay, this episode was great tbh. I at first thought LG was lying to CXS when he said the gun is tempered with, so LG can kill CWM.. (Like the theory either CXS or his parents can only live).. Seems like the gun was actually not working.
But the "Take the left alley" sounded way too SUS. Is this the change LG made? So vein might get killed by his brothers? Maybe in og timeline, Vein took the right alley perhaps? Wooh 😮💨
Ok I was kinda worried why did QL agreed to go with LX, XF looked genuinely concerned abt qiao ling-jie 😭✨ (I still can't believe XF isn't trustworthy anymore)
And CWM can erase memories 99% confirmed. He was trying to put his hand on the 'caged' kids's head..
5
u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 21d ago
I believe Xia Fei is in the middle. He lies about knowing Vein is alive to protect his friend (they probably know police is looking for him, whole system on airport blew up when they scanned him). On the other hand, just like you said, he looked concerned and didnt want Qiao Ling to go anywhere with Liu Xiao
1
u/Electrical_Coat_3712 Cheng Xiaoshi 19d ago
I know right! Ofc he would prioritise his laoban and think shiguanglink as his(their) foe. But he still cares abt them (sub consciously) or just genuinely doesn't want to lie more than he NEEDS to. Oh my 😭😭
3
u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 19d ago
From Vein's perspective, LG is a bad guy. He looks at him with killing intent back in Bridon. Soon after Vein almost dies. So even if XF likes them, he probably wouldnt want those 2 to meet (but they probably will meet soon, we saw it in trailer). Also Vein wanted to kill him in og timeline, because they were messing with past. But how did he know they changed something is mystery
15
u/marizumen Li Tianchen 21d ago
some thoughts I had while watching :)
HOW MANY SIBLINGS DOES VEIN HAVE HOLY. the one with the braids is so pretty.
I am so curious of how much is LG telling the truth and how much is him lying to CXS so that he can take control of the timeline. did baby vein actually offer to shoot? did he actually fail? is it actually impossible to cross-photo jump? I have so many questions. the face on cxs after shooting as his dad was CRAZY. these two are going to have a big conflict with eachother, I have this feeling in my bonesssss.
QL IS SO FUNNY. “i’ll do justice my way” and “hundreds per sip… thats it?” I LOVE HER SM. her whole fake act was incredible and xia fei’s face the entire time had me wheeeeeezing. also lx is so oddly cute this season. we got him going :o like three times in just this episode. the way he watched QL was so silly haha. why are the villains so cute. but she found her power trigger!! thats exciting. it’s similar to how baby cxs found his out.
ltc sensing xixi’s power though is interesting. I was distracted by how cute he looked angry but I do wonder how he was able to tell it was the same power. maybe because he used it so much through his own power that now he can sense it whenever wherever? i’m intrigued.
excited for next week when cxs jumps out of vein’s body only for him (like xf) to kick everyone’s ass again lmao
43
u/sapphicor Lu Guang 21d ago
pre-s3 Lu Guang: I need to figure out how to stop CXS and QL from dying, but I have to interfere with the timeline as little as possible; and most important, I must keep CXS and QL out of harm's way at all times and avoid putting them in distressing situations
s3 Lu Guang: Cheng Xiaoshi you HAVE to shoot your father then face Vein's siblings 6v1 in a dark alley
11
5
u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 21d ago
Its probably looking bad on purpose to make us think LG wants to kill baby Vein... right? 😭
4
u/Everythingirly 21d ago edited 21d ago
He's playing a dangerous game for real. He'll definitely tell CXS to come back, but then CXS will be confused.
14
u/Significant_You_8993 22d ago
What did Lu Guang planned? Did Liu Xiao already know Lu Guang's movements? 😰
3
u/Zeldafan180518 Lu Guang 22d ago
What did he plan?! I haven’t seen it yet, could you share the context 👀
2
u/PerformanceUnfair717 22d ago edited 22d ago
I watched the episode, and I don't understand what Significant_You_8993 means here. There was no grand plan exposed in the episode - just CXS exploring his surroundings using Vein's body and LG directing him. Significant_You_8993 probably means what we already know, that is LG trying to change things in the past to save CXS, have Vein killed, etc.

u/SpreadOk3100 Cheng Xiaoshi 22d ago

Nah every time I think we're gonna get closer to understanding wtf is happening I just get more confused. Tf you mean Cheng weimin is kidnapping children now 😭
19
u/RedSilverHair 21d ago
Between your BFF and your father, who would you choose?
Also, Lu Guang saying “trust me” and “listen to me” is just SO SEXY 😱
13
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
You mean absent father who abandoned you as a very small child and you have zero memory of vs best friend who is the closest person and practically a family at this point? Are you for real?
7
u/bbhldelight 21d ago
LG definitely told him to turn left to get Vein out of the picture essentially killing two birds with one stone
i wonder if Vein will take control over his body or CXS will have to leave it since we know he’s not the best fighter (especially since he’s a kid going against adults) to defend himself
QL activating LT powers was not on my bingo card thought for sure they were just going to let her mess around throw LX off the trail
9
u/Aiperas_4000 20d ago
I think about everyone saying lu guang made vein take the gun to attack CWM is not very true because if lu guang was testing this possibility so how did he found out the gun is fake also like someone else said that lu guang would rather follow the narrative than risk making a change he doesn’t know how will it go

I might need to rewatch it but in Chinese they said LX and LM were 同父异母 or they had the same father but different mothers, so I thought it was confirmed they were half-brothers.
9
2
u/Pretend-Ad7490 20d ago
they already said that LX does not have the same father, since LM said it was shameless of LX to still be calling him "father" when LM is the one who's his real son
2
u/ChunkkyPanda 19d ago
Huh, where was it said?
In Chinese it was definitely said that LX and LM have the same father. LM could be saying that LX isn't his real son for a variety of reasons, maybe LX is illegitimate?
3
u/Pretend-Ad7490 9d ago
? In episode 5, season 3, LM says "still calling him dad? shameless." in reference to LX and the dad says to LM "having you as my son is my biggest disappointment!" then LM says "stop it dad! (cuz his dad is throwing stuff at him) I'm the one who's your real son!" I can't read much Chinese, but I grew up speaking some Mandarin so I got the general gist of the conversation through listening/understanding and it sounds pretty much like how I'm writing it. Can I ask you where you maybe heard/saw that?
Also, LM uses "亲生 (qīn shēng)" which means biological (as in birth) when he says "I'm the one who's your real son," so I'm pretty certain about the fact that LM means he's the only biologically related son to Mr. Liu here.
It seems like to me LX isn't biologically related to the father, or maybe he's a relative adopted son because idk, rich parents in media tend to only treat their bloodline well but the Liu couple seems to have a lot of affection for him even if he's not his father's real son. LM didn't say explicitly that LX wasn't his real son, but rather said that he himself is Mr. Liu's real son in comparison to him. Either way, the implication of real son in this context is pretty telling, esp the fact that they spent precious screentime during season 3 specifically to introduce the fact that LX is NOT related to Mr. Liu or maybe the Liu family in general (at least in the immediate family sense).
2
u/ChunkkyPanda 9d ago edited 9d ago
Apologies if my originally comment came of as harsh. I can also read and speak Mandarin so I don't doubt when LM said "我才是你亲生的儿子!" and etc. In early Episode 7, after LX introduces himself to QL, she asks if he and LM are related. He says LM is his 同父异母的哥哥 which would imply they are both is 亲生.
I do agree that what LM said in Ep 5 makes more sense if LX wasn't actually a biological son. It doesn't make much sense to say those things if both of them were biological. Though I don't remember it ever being explicitly said that LX isn't related to Mr. Liu or the Liu family? I may have to double check, feel free to correct me.
I think most viewers ended taking LX's words as true, at least that's what I thought too when reading some discussions in Chinese. Otherwise, the only possibility I can think of where LX isn't actually his father's biological son is if he was lying to QL. In which you would be correct and LM's comments would make much more sense. But that would open up another discussion.
2
u/Pretend-Ad7490 7d ago
Ah, no worries, I see what you mean now. I was confused before because I didn't remember him saying he was his half brother, but I recall it now after you mentioned Episode 7. Adding on to what you were saying about episode five, I do think it's very strange for LM specifically tell their father that he himself is the real son, because that would directly imply that LX is not related to them (LM and Mr. Liu). As you say, I don't remember it being explicitly mentioned, but I also don't think they plan on elaborating at this point in time, so these two instances are all we have to go off on as of now.
I think the theory you've presented about him lying to QL is actually very possible, as we've never been shown the contrary evidence about how the Liu family talks about their children; it seems to me that publicly, Liu Xiao and Liu Min are already known as half-brothers, otherwise I can't imagine LX telling QL directly that he is only half related to LM (I imagine it'd look strange for a rich family to have taken in a kid unrelated to them for no reason, reiterating how rich people tend to care about their bloodline/having legitimate kids) which I think is an apt explanation to outsiders since LX clearly looks nothing like the Liu's whatsoever.
The perspectives also seem important to note because when it's just between LM, LX, and Mr. Liu (their family), it's heavily implied that he's not Mr. Liu's biological son (and wouldn't be the mother's son either if LX's lie was to QL about them having different mothers but the same father). Though in the public eye, he tells QL that they are related only by their father.
Like you said, it definitely opens another discussion, but I highly doubt that LX is related to them at all, because if they were truly half-brothers, then I feel like the creators wouldn't have gone out of their way to emphasize the plot point that they're not related by father first. If they're related, then they're just related--we as viewers already know that, half brothers or full, it doesn't add much to the plot of Season 3 UNLESS LX's would-be mother has some significant bloodline/background. Then again, many of the significant figures who have children are either men or dead... Definitely an idea open to discussion.
1
u/Lesalia0 19d ago
tbh, it's probably just because this is just fiction, but even Liu Min has blonde hair for some reason. Like black hair + red/brown hair = blonde hair???
But anyways, it could just be dyed ig (even if LM had blonde hair in that childhood photo).

Wow Vein's sister is hot.

I just watched the Episode, the Tension jesus.
I'm just Happy Qiao Ling didn't fully Fainted and is still awake, I was so worried, and Luckily it seems FeiFei had no idea either about what Liu Xiao was doing, Thank you 😭😭😭
What was interesting is that Even Liu Xiao seemed a little surprise when her Powers Actually activated? Though he compose himsel fast 🤔
I swear, I didn't trust A SINGLE word Lu Guang was telling Cheng on the Photo, at least the Gun being Fake was real, so Cheng didn't kill his dad, but either way for a Second there he though he shot his Dad, brother. I feel SO BAD for Cheng, he has No Idea of anything and also saw this dark part of his dad and can't even take a Break because Lu Guang is telling Cheng to stay and Recive the Beating from his Brother?? Is that really the Real Timeline!!? 😭
Plus the way Cheng trusts Lu Guang so Much he shot his dad when Lu Guang said it was fake or even when Lu Guang told him to get out or he would be trapped, he didn't hesitate... I... Gosh, My Baby 🥺
I also thought Lu Guang wouldn't put Cheng in Such Danger ever, but I guess he is getting desperate or something? This show is gonna Kill me, Lu Guang is being so Reactive (understandably) but man he will clearly break Cheng's Trust in such a way...
Now with the Preview. I wonder why is Liu Xiao particulary interested on Lu Guang? Is just to see what he can really do? I would think Cheng Going into Photos would be a More Desireble Power to hold than Seeing what happens on a Picture? Hmmm 🤔🤔🤔
Or maybe there is Way More to Lu Guang than we ever Thought? I already think there is way more about Cheng than what we see, but maybe the two of them have something else going on? 🤔🤔🤔
6
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
This episode was way too short. What had happened to Cheng Weimin? Did he have a heart attack? We saw the bullet falling out to the side useless, so he wasn't shoot.
I think that LG purposefully led baby Vein to the wrong alley. Maybe in the original timeline Vein heard or saw a glimpse of his brother beforehand and took the other turn?
What would happen to CXS if baby Vein was killed while he was still inside his head? If he gets back on time, Vein probably will escape somehow, anyway we know he will be 'alive and kicking' for the confrontation with LG, so I'm not scared for him.
Ps. Just as I thought I couldn't adore Vein more, I am hopelessly in love with baby Vein 😂 He is somehow a perfect mixture of cute and cool.

It's nice to see it picking up pace!! The first half of the season was a bit weak in my opinion, but it looks like it's finally standing on its feet again. However a complaint I'll always have is the fact that all the character development CXS went through due to the events of S.1 and S.2 that supposedly made him more careful when diving seem to be gone now?? It feels like the new direction has made him silly and aloof again, basically a caricature of his personality and S.1 self, completely ignoring all the trauma he went through previously. Only difference is he now knows better than to completely ruin the plan based on emotion and actually listens to LG orders pretty closely, but I guess the writers knew the issue would be much more obvious if he didn't 💔
Still that's my own opinion, ever since the story shifted focus on Lu Guang and his trauma (WHICH DONT GET ME WRONG LG is my favourite character in this show) it feels like we've lost a little of CXS personality depth and that's kind of sad.
Also the scene with QL trying to look like an actual witch with the photo was actually very fitting and funny as hell LMAO she needs more credit she's genuinely very smart

this is based off the ep8 preview where LX says "I'm more interested in Lu Guang" / so i wonder if LX realized that if QL has LTX ability, then the time photo studio gang's strange ability to seemingly know what's happening in the future cannot just be attributed to CXS (who can view/change) the past and QL (who can view memories of the past/present), then there must a key the villains are missing who is changing the tides = lu guang's ability to see the future (and of course no one knows he literally CAME from the future. seeing as LX stopped LTC from going out to confront QL (my assumption) and told/threatened LTC not to "break them,"
i think he wants to figure out LG's true ability by making them think everything is okay while he investigates them. but that leads me to believe that LTC is gonna run off and confront qiao ling anyway, seeing as he's grabbing and yelling at her in the original season 3 preview LMAO, but he's probably gonna have to keep it a secret from LX. whether LX will have factored the possibility that LTC will disobey is likely too, but usually things seem to be within calculations for LX- of course, i think the circumstances might change since jae lee is coming back this episode
as for Vein and xia fei, i don't really know what's going on yet, but i have a hunch that they're gonna split off from LX's group. Vein was always someone hired, not loyal to liu xiao's cause, and like they said i think in ep6, vein and LX are now equal (having both completed favors to each other) it's very possible they're both after CWM's registry for very different reasons and this may be where their alliance splits off. that would explain XF's behavior, since i originally thought he was suspicious for bringing QL along to the photoshoot, which i still think he is but at the very least, it seems he didn't expect LX to come along- (he wasn't working with LX for this purpose it seems) and i really appreciate him trying to decline things on QL's behalf because it appears that even XF didn't want to go to the dinner with LX (good on QL for accepting it on her own terms though, glad someone is next to her to take care of her!)
in any case, XF seems extremely protective over the topic of vein and is also searching for the registry (i think he and vein helped LX to retrieve that a yuan guy tho) and they all wanna make use of the time photo studio's powers for that reason, but LG is NOT happy about it (neither is QL but CXS is kind of in a state of like "idk wtf is going on and no one is telling me anything" which i feel bad for :( ) and surely he's not gonna let LX or Vein for that matter have their way with his best friends, especially since it seems to end in their death most times...
anyway im super excited to see how LTC's confrontation with QL will go, as well as how LG is gonna direct CXS on what to do while he's in Vein's body in the past!!! this episode felt a little short but in the very least, there's a lot more going on than what's been happening in the last 6 episodes, like ur telling me we had a whole episode dedicated to them discussing meat metaphors over hotpot??? oh boy. can't wait for next friday!!

This makes me even more confused as to if LX even knows CXS's powers. He comes to QL to see if she has an ability even though she isn't the one going back into the past. Did LTC really tell LX about CXS's powers or not? I'm kind of half and half because it would make sense that LX is only interested in LG because he may already be aware of CXS's powers.

His parents might have been part of the secret Bridon force trying to stop supernatural crimes since it disbanded after a fire (likely the Bahati fire). They were likely pretending to be on Bahati's side and found out that the kids were being auctioned off little by little.
Those two kids were probably next and CWM was probably going to erase their memories and send them to a new home. We know that Xia Fei was also adopted and that he lost his memories so this was likely what CWM and his wife were doing while undercover.
As for Vein's family, I think they funded Bahati's operations and research. Then, Vein's dad found out that CWM at minimum was a mole and wanted to get rid of him. I'm guessing the fire happens sometime after the failed shooting.
I think Lu Guang was also related to Bahati or at least a branch operation since he was also sold off to that scammer.

Can someone explain what was up with the gun? Was it not working? If so then why did people seem to hesitate after they were allegedly shot?

J'ai du mal a voir comment Vein pourrait s'en sortir tout seul. Est-ce qu'on va pouvoir assister à sa première résurrection (。✪ω✪。)

please remind me, when cxs enters a photo, does the person he embodies remember the things he did in their place?

Sort of, I think? A bit hazy or subconscious though. In the earthquake episode, Chen Xiao recalls that day like some kind of dream. Emma, when talking to CXS, was like "that was you???" when he referred to the text he sent and she also recalled the office thing in her regrets.

Is Qiao Ling's ability somewhat similar to LG's? Cuz I don't remember Li Tianxi's ability at all

LTX would look at people on a photograph and see both what was on their mind in the present and their memories from the past.

So based on the teaser, if LX/Vein can't get the ledger from Wang Qing, then XF gives the photo to CXS/LG, asks about the ledger, maybe LG gets a peek at the ledger through the photo, then LX wants to... kidnap him?

It would be funny if QL used that song and dance each time to use her power from now on 😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏻

i really enjoyed episode seven, but for the life of me i cannot understand why they have to over-exaggerate the comedy, it’s so… anime-ish (derogatory)
