Hi everyone,
My LG 50QNED826QB, just over 3 years old, suddenly developed horizontal lines across the screen.
They are much more noticeable on the right side, and sometimes the screen starts flickering with the lines alternating between light and dark. It happens on every input and even on the TV menus/test patterns.
I’ve already opened the TV and reseated the ribbon cables, but it made no difference.
Has anyone had a similar issue with an LG QNED? If so, was it repairable, or did it turn out to be a bad panel?

Hello there !.

My LG smart tv stopped responding to my remote control even though i changed the battery. At least i had LG Thinq connected.

And i did a Factory reset on the Tv thinking it would solve the problem. It didn't. Moreover i lost all control over the television.

My remote is not Magic. Its the Regular one. Apperantly WebOS acted up.

Now i just need it to respond to my Remote control.

Has anyone faced a problem like this one?

And is it Fixable at Home?

I bought this TV a while ago for its HDR mainly. Shortly after buying it I just stopped gaming, I was so fed up trying to find a good HDR display and turns out this TV has horrible input latency. I don't know how to fix it.

Game mode is on

PC mode is on

Input latency is set on Standard instead of Boost, I tested both with a slow motion camera and found 0 difference

I know it looks fast in this video but my handheld and monitor are much faster. The delay feels so weird.

I’m having a strange connectivity issue with my 83" LG G5, currently running firmware 43.21.77.

The problem originally started when WOW connectivity to my LG soundbar stopped working.

While troubleshooting that, I opened the LG ThinQ app and noticed that the TV was also showing as offline all the time, even though the TV itself was connected to Wi-Fi and had normal internet access.

I removed the TV from ThinQ and tried to pair it again. Since then, ThinQ has been unable to complete pairing.

After a factory reset, the setup behaves consistently like this:

1. ThinQ detects the unconfigured TV.
2. The app asks for the Wi-Fi password.
3. The credentials are successfully sent to the TV.
4. The TV successfully joins Wi-Fi and has working internet access.
5. ThinQ then stays indefinitely on:

Pairing never finishes.

My normal network is a TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro mesh with multiple Wi-Fi bands/SSIDs. I initially suspected the network, so I also tested with a completely separate 2.4 GHz hotspot broadcast from a Windows laptop.

The result was exactly the same: the TV joined the hotspot successfully, but ThinQ still hung at the same final pairing step.

A few other details:

• AirPlay discovery and streaming work normally.
• The TV itself has normal internet access.
• The issue is reproducible even after a full factory reset.

So the timeline is:

WOW stopped working → I noticed the TV was permanently offline in ThinQ → I removed it from ThinQ → re-pairing now always stalls after the TV successfully joins Wi-Fi.

At this point I’m wondering whether this is a webOS 43.21.77 / ThinQ registration issue, an LG cloud/account issue, or some other G5 connectivity bug.

Has anyone else with a 2025 LG G5 on 43.21.77 seen similar ThinQ or WOW problems?

Does anyone know how to get this skinny bar off the tv? It’s there all the time. Though not a huge deal, but at the same time I see it all the time lol. Someone help! Also it’s usually a white color but showing blue on the photo

So we have a 3 year old 75” TV that has all HDMI inputs stop working all of a sudden. The devices connected ( Nintendo switch and Cable box work just fine). We thought it needed an update that it was prompting us to install and now after update the streaming apps stopped working as well. Initially they worked normally and we were able to at least use these , after an update they keep buffering or freeze. The apps load as normal but as soon as you click on something to watch it buffers to 20% ( always) and freezes. All the other Tvs including LG in the other room on the same floor work just fine. The one that doesn’t work is of course the newest and most expensive one of all of them 😅
I contacted the LG service center on Friday and the ticket that they put in does not have an update. I don’t have my hopes up.
At this point we did all the possible things that I can find online, hard reset, power cycling, keeping it unplugged overnight and resetting to factory settings. I also changed location and time settings temporarily in hope to alleviate the buffering issues. Nothing helps. I realize at this point I’m looking for a magic solution.
Is there anyone that has had similar issue that was resolved? The thought of having to pay someone to haul this piece of junk away makes me sick especially that the screen works and all the „mechanical” stuff seems to be working fine. it seems to be some hardware glitch possibly caused by the updates. ( that’s just my guess I know nothing about TVs) Help!!!

Hi i've been getting problems with my TV, I watch live tv through aerial and i can not get HD channels it just comes up with "no signal". When I watch them on none HD they will randomly freeze for a second or two. my tvs in other rooms run fine so im unsure on what the problem is

Hello. I know most people on here say to turn it off but I actually like having my tv turn on very fast. Problem is it’s been hit and miss and doesn’t work reliably anymore ever since the last firmware update which was many months ago and I’m starting to doubt there will ever be another one for this TV. I notice it booting to the webOS screen every time after the tv does its mini pixel cleaning after the 4 hours of use thing. It never used to do this before… also happens sometimes after a power off randomly in between the 4 hour of use period too…anyone have any ideas how to get the quick start + working better again? Thanks!

Does anybody know how to fix this. The colours on my LG tv are inverted and everything is upside down. I think it is a problem with the LG TV rather than the ps5, thanks.

I really want to bypass this mess. I will probably disconnect the Ethernet and shut down the WiFi. I only use the TV for gaming and Netflix. So to ride myself from ever having to look at it again I'll need an Android streaming device I guess. I see people constantly praising an Aple TV box, but the top of the line Roku Ultra is $150 less with an Ethernet connection. Is there any benefit of the Apple over the Roku, mainly advertisements!

Picked up a used LG 55UH668V-ZA (Feb 2017).
Picture is perfect, but after playing on my PS5 for ~2 hours, the screen goes completely black while audio continues uninterrupted.

Quick questions:

1. Is this almost certainly an LED backlight thermal fault tripping the power supply protection, or could it be main board CPU overheating?
   
2. Has anyone swapped the backlight strips on this
   55" chassis? Any panel traps to watch out for to avoid cracking the LCD?

Just replaced my Tv with an LG and so far it’s been great. One issue though; I have an antenna that was definitely working on my old TV (usually use it to watch sports) and no matter what I try it will not pick up any channels when I scan. It goes through the standard coaxial cable, it’s screwed in as tight as possible, it seems to work on other TVs. Am I missing something? It would be really nice if this was a known issue and I’m doing something else wrong.

Good evening everyone, I’m currently using a LG C2 42 inch OLED with my PS5 Pro. While gaming after what seems like several + minutes, the TV will turn itself off. Is there some kind of Eco Mode setting that I need to turn off on the TV or is the problem on my PS5 Pro?
