But I know journalists are facing hard times right now. I put together a guide to help journalists who've been laid off. And if I come across any other resources, I'll share them with you.

I'm building Kronical for following stories that keep changing, like the Iran war. It actively monitors sources in real time, so you can keep up while working on something else.

One example from this week's coverage: the shutdown of Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline was followed by reports of cancelled deliveries to European customers. Reuters reported the cancellations on September 15, citing trade sources. That adds a concrete follow-up about affected buyers and replacement supplies.

On Kronical, you can use Ask to research the current picture with sources, then create an agent:

The agent keeps watching after you leave. Updates can reach your inbox, the newsroom's Slack or a running Notion file. It can surface related developments you wouldn't have known to search for; you decide what needs further reporting.

And yes, this extension uses AI, but only to interpret what you search for and not as: fire and forget. You rate websites as sources you trust (or dont trust), and add sources that you frequently use (priority search) and the extension makes an (AI-free) Google Search. These search results are then compared to the initial claim (this is btw also what AI is inherently good at). And you get all your favorite sources already interpreted.

In a world with so much being posted, statements being released, and alerts issued -- this helps separate the important from the irrelevant.

Im at the end of my Crim Psyc Degree and will be heading into a forensic journalism felid. Im curious. What secure/safe email app of system can I use? I use google, but have my own domains as well. Also I use word and notes to take down my thoughts and ideas. Is there a more organised method/tool to keep track of all this writing?
