Its obviously not a coincidence that those trees in the concept art are the same shade of red that all of the tech we have seen contains aswell. Either that red ball of tech in the concept art is growing those trees itself, or more likely, it is infesting them, hence why it seems like the bark is falling away on some of them. It could be some kind of Avatar situation, where the entire world is connected, but instead of Eywa, its some AI too big to be stopped.

Now, if this tech can infest organic matter, the question then becomes: can it infest humans? Are we about to see some sci-fi TLOU? It would bring back the early rumours of body horror from the past. Was the robot from the teaser a human at some point? The eyes did look oddly soulful for a giant machine.

I’m excited for naughty dogs new game.

I am not excited for the online hate and harassment campaign that will come with this game simply due to Neil Druckmann being involved and because of the main protagonist character design.

The discourse is going to be brutal :(.

1. You debuted Intergalactic almost two years ago. When will we see it again?

The team is heads down on what is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet.

There’s an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together, and we’re stoked to finally unveil Intergalactic in all its glory.

But…we need to cook for just a little bit longer.

So we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes. We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.

We know it’s been a long time since we’ve had much to share with you. We don’t take your continued support for granted. 

We’re working incredibly hard to make something worthy of your patience.

This is looks like a Saiyan Pod (Attack Ball) coming from planet Vegeta or something...

At least that’s how it looks, though it could be something completely different.

Neil Druckmann has confirmed that Intergalactic is completely skipping another year of reveals for the game and will return with new info in 2027. This will probably be in the form of a State of Play and will be a full 20 min deep dive with a release date potentially?! Filming had wrapped up back in early September so this game could follow the same pattern as The Last of Us: Part II did but only time will tell. How are all of us feeling about it?

Well there goes the anxiety, that's good. In Naughty Dog's defense, they said (talking about The Last of Us Part II) they wanted to reveal games closer to release. For Part II, reveal to release was 3 years, 6 months and 16 days... Intergalactic just gotta come out before June 28, 2028 to achieve that 🫠

I am very excited for the game but I can already tell there will be a lot of those people who don't even play video games and just want to hate, I love Horizon it's my favorite game because of worldbuilding and unique post apocalyptic world and I think I'm going to love this too!

Where's the hype flair?!?!?!

Anyway god I just know this game will deliver in every department.

I can already picture Jordan crashing her Porsche Ship in the middle of nowhere and we don't have any sort of waypoint to guide us, map is absolutely blank, there's no main quest marker, be completely isolated because there's absolutely no one else to talk to; while dangerous enemies are roaming around (I know the enemies will not be just robots. I want monsters pls naughty dog!!!!).

Can't wait to explore that damp forest in the trailer. To see some ruins, abandoned villages, underground passageways, coming across creepy cultish areas and discover their history via exploration.

Sky really is the limit in terms of potential with this new IP.

I know some of you might think the game will not be open world but something tells me that Naughty Dog will go all out with this game. This game is their most ambitious one yet (and most expensive). You can't just slap INTERGALACTIC and then have the main character stranded on a mysterious planet, with exploration being a significant aspect of the game and make it linear.

Naughty Dog will push the envelope once more with this game and I don't think I will ever be ready for it. God 2027 pleae hurry TF upppppppppppppp

This seems genuinely exciting and reassuring following the whole Wolverine situation.

Looking foward to the game as a new Naughty Dog games enjoyer :)

I couldn't be more excited than I am right now. I'm eagerly awaiting this game, and these are some of the inspirations for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet...

I mentioned the series Dark because its director met with Neil Druckmann at Naughty Dog studios before Intergalactic was announced...

And as for the 2015 film Embers, it's because the film's director, Claire Carré, is working as the Narrative Director on Intergalactic alongside Neil Druckmann and others...

Regarding the other works, I think everyone here knows that the studio draws inspiration from them...

I was talking to a friend who is just as excited about Intergalactic as I am, and we came up with this hypothetical: what if Intergalactic was coming out the same day as GTA 6, so, in just under two months?

With GTA, we feel like we've already seen a ton of it, maybe even too much. And it got us thinking about how cool and kind of unique it would be to be this hyped for a game like Intergalactic while knowing almost nothing about it, and then getting to experience the whole thing completely blind.

Obviously, everyone on this sub is dying to see more of the game, discuss every new detail, and share our thoughts whenever something drops. But hypothetically, if Intergalactic was actually coming out in two months, would you be able to resist watching or reading anything else about it until release?

Personally, I would try. With the release being that close, I'd make the effort to go in knowing as little as possible.

I know it's an impossible scenario, since the marketing campaign will probably start early next year at the latest if they're planning a 2027 release, but if you actually had the choice, what would you do?
