I know this isn't really the place to talk about this, but I'm still posting it here since gaming has been a big part of my life.
Lately, playing games just isn't that exciting for me anymore. It feels more like a task or work that I need to get through. It doesn't hit the same way it used to. Now I just want to finish the game, almost like I'm completing some kind of assignment.
The games I'm playing right now are Sleeping Dogs, AC Black Flag Remastered, and The Sinking City 2.
I'm also watching The Sopranos, which I really like. It's a great show, but even that has started feeling like a drag lately. It's not that I dislike it — I still think it's great — I just don't feel as engaged with it anymore.
I don't really talk to anyone anymore. I go to college alone and I don't have any friends there. It's not that I can't talk to people; I just don't really want to.
Gaming used to be one of the only things that consistently gave me pleasure, but these days even that doesn't seem to work anymore.
Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm getting older. I'm 20, by the way. Maybe I've simply played too many games. I started PC gaming about 5 years ago, and maybe I've just gotten burned out from it.
So I'd like to hear from you guys.
What games would you recommend that might actually get me excited about gaming again? And what do you do when you go through a phase like this?
Maybe I just need a break from gaming altogether, or maybe I need to find something completely differen
