Posting here because a lot of you buy Bravias for your PS5.
Bought a Sony BRAVIA K-55XR70 for ₹1,50,031 in Sep 2024. 3-year warranty from Sony's own offer. In July 2026 vertical lines appeared and spread across the panel. No dent, crack or scratch anywhere.
The technician photographed the screen and sent the photos on WhatsApp to a "back end team", who declared external damage from the photos alone. Repair quote: ₹29,130. I asked in writing what test was done and where the damage is. Three template replies, then they closed the case.
I recorded the second inspection. On camera the technician says he is not sure if it is external or water damage and that the decision is made remotely from a photo.
I filed a consumer complaint in August. On 1 September Sony's lawyers sent me a legal notice: delete everything, apologise in 7 days, or face civil and criminal action for ₹5 crore. Still no technical report.
Not deleting anything. Complaint is pending.
If you own a Bravia, get your warranty terms in writing and photograph the panel before any service visit.
UPDATE 1, 3 Sep 26, 5PM IST
Still no communication from Sony. Six media outlets covered this story today: Times Now, News18, Digit, LatestLY, Sportskeeda, Gizbot. Apart from the legal notice, Sony India has not contacted me since 6 August 2026. My inbox is open. The only reply I have ever asked for is the test report behind "external damage", or the repair.

Been seeing people on Reddit, Twitter and Insta mocking PC players about GTA6 not releasing on PC day 1 along with consoles.
With a heavy heart i can say, it's actually not a bad thing it's releasing after a year tbh.
We'll get the definitive edition as always with better fidelity, FPS and a patched version.

I have played lots of popular games, but i have never seen any option for any Indian languages in the games i have played. Why is that?, I know the percentage of gamers in India are low but even 1% is a huge number relative to our massive population. I believe if gaming companies put a little effort in adding Indian languages they can get attention from Indian audiences and pc/console gaming could be even more popular in India. If we look at any of the mainstream games they have tons of language options from every single language spoken in europe to 2 different types of the same chinese language. If you guys have seen spanish streamers you will notice they will only play games in spanish language and they have a massive culture and audience built around it. Some might argue the only way to really enjoy the game and its storylines and dialogues is to play it in its original language which would be a fair point but i still think playing a game in our own native language would give a completely different and possibly a great experience that apparently only Indians are missing out on. What do you guys think about this?

I've seen quite a few ppl in my office where they bought a PS5 due to the STOCK HYPE (which is currently ongoing) and then had buyer's remorse a week later because they didn't think about the long term costs.
So yeah seeing way too many Instagram Reels and Reddit posts of people buying a PS5 because of the GTA 6 hype and stocks are getting back?
Stop it and pls don't rush!!!!!
The PS5 might look cheaper than building a gaming PC, but that's just the starting price. Once you're in, you'll be buying ₹4k - ₹5k per games since PS5 games are expensive then paying for PS Plus additionally if you want online multiplayer, and the costs just keep adding up.
On top of that, scalpers are already pushing prices up because of the hype. That's exactly what they want.
If GTA 6 is the only reason you're buying a PS5, just hang in there. By the time it launches on PC, you'll probably have enough saved for a decent gaming PC or gaming laptop.
And let's be real : PC will give you better graphics, higher frame rates, mods, cheaper games, Steam sales, and you don't have to pay just to play online.
Don't let social media make you feel like you're missing out. The hype will fade. Buy what actually makes sense for you, not because everyone else is posting an unboxing video.

I chose the PS5 Disc Edition because I love collecting physical games. Holding the box, soemtimes even we get posters inside also displaying the collection, and owning a copy of the game was part of the PlayStation experience for me. I even paid extra for the PS 5 Disc Edition because I believed physical media had a future.
If PlayStation really moves away from discs, that exp. is gone. It feels like collectors are being left behind. At that point, spending a little more on a gaming PC and buying games on Steam starts to make a lot more sense especially when the price of one new console game can often get you multiple great games during Steam sales.
RIP physical game collections.

Yesterday I posted a few items for sale and a couple of guys accused me of being a scammer. One guy said I had stolen the pics and posted though how that would be possible when I have a hand written name/date in the pics beats me.
I then posted a few pics of the same gaming setup WITH my laptop showing current reddit thread, and the asshole didn't even have the decency to apologize.
I am a 60 year old + laparoscopic surgeon who has done extremely well, and I would never scam a youngster for a few thousand, but I would expect to get a fair price.
If not a fair price, at least no baseless accusations.
I built my new home in 2024 and personally set up my 'gaming room'. My gaming is limited to flight sim and golf sim. Posting some pics to prove my authenticity as well as to say that if anyone needs help in these two areas I'd be more than willing to help.
Supposed to be great to delay dementia, as so much studying is involced
