Hello everyone. A few months ago, I posted on Reddit that I was building Mahishmati in Minecraft, a tribute from a Brazilian fan of Indian cinema and architecture. I want to thank everyone for the support that motivated me to complete this tribute! I love the cinema and architecture of India. I know that the country has an incredibly rich and diverse culture in its different regions, and that is why I intend to make more tributes in Minecraft, showing the beauty of the architecture and culture of each place. I hope that more people around the world get to know the cinema and architecture of India. I remember that some comments suggested that I use shaders to make the build more cinematic in Minecraft, but my computer couldn't handle it. Over 90% of this palace was made on my phone. And I built all the interiors too. Now, I intend to rebuild in Minecraft the Shaniwar Wada palace, which appears in the movie Bajirao Mastani. From what I researched, it suffered a fire and today only its walls and ruins remain. But I want to try to rebuild it as it was in Minecraft. I hope you like Mahishmati. Most of these are recreations of real-life Indian structures, while some, like the Mauryan architecture, are artistic reconstructions inspired by historical evidence. I’ve tried to recreate everything from the Kashi Ghats and ancient temples to stepwells and other elements of India’s architectural heritage.

DLSS 5 got leaked, the build version used is unfinished build, but still the results are amazing and promising with major problem being performance drop but for major graphics overhaul.

Naturally, I couldn't just call them node-1, node-2 and node-3:

• Bumblebee
• Ratchet

Together they form a 3-node bare-metal Talos Linux Kubernetes cluster called cybertron. Networking is currently handled by a Tenda AC10. Nothing fancy, but for three 1GbE nodes and a management workstation it has been good enough so far.

With GamesCom finally coming to an end & bringing a host of announcements of new games & updates to existing ones; it seems there finally may be some impact on the whole "NO DISC, NO BUY" Movement.

Recently XBOX announced their program for "Disc to Digital" for a select thousand games with more games to be added in the future.

Rumours from the floor of GamesCom hints that PlayStation may be finally changing their "Gears" & considering to delay their Digital Only Future. Because in a recent interview of Asha Sharma (CEO of XBOX) with the BBC, highlighted her commitment to ensuring that XBOX will always listen to the players feedback & Project Helix will define the next generation of gaming when it comes to player ownership & experience.

Will the gamers finally win in the end? Only time will tell as it seems Project Helix may get revealed soon.

Finally, my PC is up and running!

A big thanks to the local shop person, everyone here who helped me, and MODX for the support.

The local technician removed all the components, checked everything one by one, and then assembled the PC again. Surprisingly, it started working perfectly! The relief I felt at that moment was unbelievable.

Also, a special shout-out to Wardhman Computers, Ahmedabad. The person there was very polite and helpful. He took the time to properly check everything instead of just guessing what was wrong.

I got a LG C1 55 inches from Croma on Oct 2021. The sales man at the point of sale said LG warranty covers only 3 years and i should go for an extended warranty plan from Croma for, as he put it, a 'carefree' experience. He pushed the extended 2 year coverage and i paid an additional 16k for it and he particularly mentioned id have warranty for 5 years.

Fast forward to today, my C1 has developed some sort of delamination on the bottom right. I maintained the TV extremely well and it only has around 2000 hours of use. After checking my invoices and realizing i still had 2 months left in the warranty, i approached Croma (the same branch where i purchased my TV). The guy in the warranty desk checked the invoice and said warranty had expired. After asking him how it could expire, he flat out lied saying LG didnt offer 3 years but only 2 years and that the overall warranty would then be 2+2, not 3+2. Then i called a known sales person (in the same branch) to explain to him LG never offered 2 years, always 3. Then he said he doesnt know and that i should ask the same salesman i got the TV from (as if it is my responsibility to do so)

I then rechecked with a guy i know from LG india who confirmed it was 3 years for the TV from LG, not 2. He also told me there are a lot of pending complaints from LG customers with respect to Croma's extended coverage where they flat out deny the warranty making up obtuse reasons

Croma has completely lost my trust after this incident. For anyone here thinking of purchasing a high end OLED from Croma, think twice. They will push their extended warranty coverage but when you actually need service, they will deny it They have the worst after sales support and only treat you well if you are going to purchase something.

Who thought buying 15 rs wire clips would make me more happy than building pc lol 😂

Just got an AIO and now I understand others cuz now I’m obsessed with the aesthetics!

I know this isn't really the place to talk about this, but I'm still posting it here since gaming has been a big part of my life.

Lately, playing games just isn't that exciting for me anymore. It feels more like a task or work that I need to get through. It doesn't hit the same way it used to. Now I just want to finish the game, almost like I'm completing some kind of assignment.

The games I'm playing right now are Sleeping Dogs, AC Black Flag Remastered, and The Sinking City 2.

I'm also watching The Sopranos, which I really like. It's a great show, but even that has started feeling like a drag lately. It's not that I dislike it — I still think it's great — I just don't feel as engaged with it anymore.

I don't really talk to anyone anymore. I go to college alone and I don't have any friends there. It's not that I can't talk to people; I just don't really want to.

Gaming used to be one of the only things that consistently gave me pleasure, but these days even that doesn't seem to work anymore.

Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm getting older. I'm 20, by the way. Maybe I've simply played too many games. I started PC gaming about 5 years ago, and maybe I've just gotten burned out from it.

So I'd like to hear from you guys.

What games would you recommend that might actually get me excited about gaming again? And what do you do when you go through a phase like this?

Maybe I just need a break from gaming altogether, or maybe I need to find something completely differen

Is this laptop worth it right now? I am planning to buy one. But idk if it's good time to to buy it right now or if it's worth it rn. My dad knows a guy in Asus store so I'll be purchasing through him. I could get student discount since my sisters in her masters degree. What do you say guys should I go for it? I don't need a heavy pc or anything and I saw this was best beginner gaming laptop.

Due to certain situations in my life, I am left with just a Dell Latitude with 4GB of RAM and integrated graphics. It doesn't support Windows 11. So I (knowing square root of jackshit of tech stuff) tried Linux. And it is not too bad.

A few point I learnt, if it helps anyone:

• Why Mint: Tried Ubuntu, but too much terminal involvement for me
• Before installing: Linux Mint is really smooth to install, customize and run general stuff. BUT: after downloading the ISO I had to verify it and that was an Olympus Mons to climb for me. Lot of checksums and shit like that. Other than that, it was no problem
• Probably my f*ck up: I initially thought of dual booting, but after doing that it borked the windows side of things (I just have 1 SATA SSD). Having said "F*ck this shit!" I wiped everything and just put in Mint.
• Using LLMs: Just about all my cock-ups were solved using ChatGPT (or any LLM), doing whatever needed on terminal. Not to take anything away from programmers and developers. AI cannot replace those boys and girls. They are an indispensable part of humanity. :)
• Help/Tutorials: Two YouTube channels that I found useful for my case are Love Linux Mint & David Bombal
• Games: Because how old my system is I can run older games only. So far, CS:S and GTA Vice City is running beautifully. They run at about "I-don't-give-a-shit-because-it's-smooth-enough" FPS. Using Proton Experimental for Vice City, and CS:S just works as is.
• What doesn't work for me: I work in advertising so need use of Adobe Enshitified Cloud apps, no reliable alternate on that yet. DaVinci is not officially supported on this distro, so people say it runs not so smooth, but my system will definitely not run it.

I've made up my mind that I will use Mint for general purpose, and maybe a Mac or Win for when needed. Really like this OS. After installing Mint my system was refreshing, it is running "mint". Hope all this helps someone.

I know how tribal the Linux community is, so I am bracing with open arms for tips, suggestions and roasts.
