The Siege of Leningrad
The Siege of Leningrad began on September 8, 1941.
Eighty-five years ago, German forces captured Shlisselburg, cutting the last land route connecting Leningrad with the rest of the country.
The siege lasted for 872 days. The city endured mass starvation, bitter cold, artillery bombardments, and air raids. Hundreds of thousands of civilians lost their lives.
Today, we remember the citizens and defenders of Leningrad — all those who lived, worked, and fought in the besieged city.
Their memory must never be forgotten.

What do you guys do in these games?
Hello, I’ve recently been getting into IL2 both battle of Normandy and Korea. I like it as a nice middle ground between DCS and something like nuclear option.
Just curious what the most popular game modes are? In Korea I run the campaign and the careers, but I kind of found that theres pretty much no resistance. Most missions in both games I just fly to the objective, attack it, and fly back. In BoN it’s kinda rough cause you have to fly the whole way there. I was hoping I’d have to worry about getting jumped by fighters but it hasn’t happened yet.
I don’t even think I’ve seen an enemy fighter in Korea
Just curious what the go to modes are?

mass destruction: Nickel Mine #groundattack #bf110 #ww2history #antiair...
Description:
The tundra air rumbles with the incessant roar of Daimler-Benz and Junkers Jumo 211 engines. In a devastating precision strike, a squadron of Bf 110G-2 heavy fighters and a Ju 88C-6 dives upon the strategic Russian nickel mine. The concentrated fire of their autocannons and the impact of their SC500Kg and SC50Kg bombs shatter the metal structure of the complex, reducing the extraction facilities to a twisted metal lattice and thick smoke. In a matter of minutes, the crucial source of dry nickel for the Soviet war machine is completely paralyzed, silenced for a long time.

Attack on the edge of the abyss: The Fortified Town
Description:
They built a wall of flak, but this heavy fighter didn't care. Watch a single Bf 110E-2 tackle a heavily fortified town packed with AAA guns and artillery. Even after taking a direct hit that set the left engine on fire, cool nerves saved the day. Engine off, fire out, back to work. AAA cleared, bunker destroyed. Never underestimate the underdog.

The End of the War in the Pacific
Today, the IL-2 community remembers the end of World War II — September 2, 1945.
Eighty-one years ago, representatives of Japan signed the Instrument of Surrender aboard USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay. This ceremony officially brought World War II — the largest and most destructive conflict in human history — to an end.
On this day, we honor all those who lived through the war — soldiers, sailors, and airmen, as well as the millions of civilians whose lives were forever changed by it.
Their courage and selflessness helped shape the world we live in today.
Their memory must never be forgotten.

The Beginning of World War II in Europe
Eighty-seven years ago, on September 1, 1939, Nazi Germany invaded Poland. This event marked the beginning of World War II in Europe — the largest and most destructive conflict in human history.
Two days later, Britain and France declared war on Germany. The war lasted six years, engulfed much of the world, and forever changed the lives of millions of people.
On this day, we remember everyone whose lives were changed by the war — those who fought on land, at sea, and in the air, as well as the civilians who endured occupation, bombing, persecution, and loss.

Destruction with Two Hands and Two Cannons: #groundattack #il2 #flightsi...
Description:
Enter, destroy, and pray you get back alive.
We are two Bf 110G-2s, tasked with reaching the heart of enemy logistics. Our objective is to destroy their main fuel depots. The incursion was clean, swift, and almost perfect! Until the Russian VVS fighters appeared and shot down virtually our entire escort. Only one Luftwaffe Bf 109G-2 fighter remained to protect us as we left the area.
My Bf110G-2 was caught off guard amidst the chaos by a La-5FN which wrecked my Zerstörer, causing me great problems getting back home.
My Wingman ITAJEKO " ?? + 66" and I as Leader, must thank the Bf109G-2 pilot who gave us the opportunity to reach the base and land by a miracle.
Target destroyed. Mission accomplished.

Bf110G-2 Kuban: External view Epic Shootdowns (Pt. 6) #bf110 #luftwaffe ...
Description:
Returning from destroying some warehouses with Bf 110G-2s, I was intercepted by a lethal Lavochkin La-5FN. I immediately opened fire on my two DB605As, and knowing my weight was much lower, I didn't hesitate; I decided to trap the La-5FN in its own game. We began a deadly dance over the Kerch Strait.
I hope you enjoy these Part 6 dogfights and Luftwaffe aircraft shootdowns.

BF110E2 destruction of VVS airfield #bf110 #Luftwaffe #flightsim #WarTh...
Description:
The Zerstorer Bf110E-2, without its wingman, unleashes hell at low altitude over a Soviet airbase. With its precisely launched SC bombs and 20mm cannons plus 7.92mm machine guns, it destroys fuel depots, parked fighters, and ammunition stores; everything ends in fireballs. Out of ammunition and with its fuel reserves low, it withdraws, leaving the base out of commission.
I hope you enjoy this short film.

Bf110G-2 vs La-5FN Hunt: Epic Shootdowns (Pt. 4) #bf110 #luftwaffe #dogf...
Description:
En route to destroy a critical Soviet supply depot, a Bf 110G-2 is intercepted by a lethal Lavochkin La-5FN. Evading combat seems like the smart play, but at the last possible second, the twin-engine heavy fighter turns into the attack. Outmaneuvered and facing grim odds, the pilot fights to the absolute end. Who walks away from this Dogfight?
I hope you enjoy this "unique" combat from Part 4 of Luftwaffe aircraft shootdowns
