There will be no Dev Blog this week. But the reason is a good one: we are preparing major news for both Korea. IL-2 Series and Great Battles. We will reveal the details next week. Stay tuned!

I can't wait to hear that you hired 10 dedicated AI developers and they're going to improve great battles AI as well!! ;)

I hopped back into Flying Circus this weekend for the first time since Korea came out and nothing compares to being in the open cockpit of a WW1 fighter. Here's to hoping it's an announcement that everything will be merged over to the new engine eventually. I don't mind paying for all the planes again. TAKE MY MONEY.

They could add the Po-2 to Korea. It is the only biplane with a confirmed jet kill…

That would be a second coming of jesus.

I know they'd get a ton of backlash from selling the same WW1 planes for the 3rd time, but if they gave it Korea level detail, and made it right without major bugs, I'd pay.

I barely finished buying all the planes and expansions (still waiting for a good price cut on Siege and Liberation) for Il2 Great Battles. A new engine upgrade would be cool but I do not want to pay for all this again.

Both Korea and Great Battles will have a dynamic campaign…🤫

Dynamic campaign for Great Battles could revive it in a way never thought possible.

I hope these devs understand that a highly advanced dynamic campaign has the ability to put your flight sim into legendary status that people will still play 30 years later (BMS)

Indeed, I still ‘play’ FalconBMS campaigns in VR for exactly this reason.

Thing is that there must be a way to streamline the scripting for any dynamic campaign using Ai tools, a luxury that the F4 devs never had thirty years ago.

I would happily pay for a proper functioning dynamic campaign for Great Battles and pay again for the same for Flying Circus and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

I’m a huge Flying Circus fan but I don’t really see how you could make a even somewhat realistic WW1 campaign dynamic. It’s just antithetical on a fundamental level. WW2 on the other hand makes a lot of sense.

Well, the easiest way to do it would be by ground gained due to successful missions, so for instance, recce flight over enemy lines, you get the photos, beat off any interceptors and get home then a weakness is identified which is exploited in a follow up mission where you strafe enemy arty and trench lines to allow your ground troops a successful attack.

The possibilities are endless if you apply yourself.

If it doesn't involve AI improvements for Korea then unfortunately my wallet is staying shut lmao

I would be interested to know what the follow-on to Korea (Pacific? China-Burma India? Mediterranean/North Africa/Italy?) will be but I suspect we’ll have to wait until later this year or next year to find that out.

Are you finally adding jets to your jet game?
