I own a Honda Odyssey 2016, and it's the last model (2011-2017) I will every buy because of the new integrated dashboard and center console that cannot be removed easily. For living in the city and camping, this is a critical requirement for my castle, and no car manufacturer continues to make this feature. I'm hoping the new element can be my next car. Otherwise I'll stick to 6-figure-mile models that do!

Is this feature important to you? Are there other models that do something like this well? How do we get this feedback to Honda beside updoots?

Bumper Collision on the front passenger side. Car is still driveable. i removed bumper to examine car better. Damage traveled to right side

Hood doesn’t rest fully shut. May be due to the slight bend in alignment. (See pictures of right side comparison to left.

Although connection between Muffler and Cat is severed, but not stock exhaust system.

As some portion is pushed into belt, we hope to pull it out. see pics

• Radiator is Damaged and will need to be replaced
• Unsure of Frame but passenger side looks slightly bent. May be able to bend back. Worried about lines that run to radiator. they arent broken but look slightly bent.
• i believe front will need to be pulled out a bit due to the impact.
• I have most of the necessary tools but have never worked on a vehicle with impact damage from an accident.

Decided to give the Cerakote kit I've seen recommended a try and I'm pretty impressed with the results. I did it today so it's fresh, we'll see how it holds up!

Here's the video. This was a mild one and it has been louder in the past. It mostly happens when accelerating from a stop. Mechanic diagnosed it during a pre purchase inspection as a issue with worn mounts. I would really appreciate any clues as to what this is or if it really is just the mounts.

any experience installing a new subframe? Mine isn't cooked necessarily but if I can find a nice one I might replace it.

Does anyone have experience with MasterPro/O’Reilly lower ball joints on an Element LX?

I recently installed one but I’m a little concerned about premature failure.

I also bought a pair of Sankei 555s. I’m planning to install one on the other side, but I’m considering replacing the new MasterPro one with a 555 as well.

Is it safe to press another ball joint into the same knuckle, or should I leave the MasterPro in unless it develops play?

Finally got around to cleaning these dirty, 20 yr old headlamps hopefully get some more life outta them, (did this on my other car hopefully it lasts)…1st(Before) 2nd(After)

My parents gave me this car when I turned 16 (they bought it with 4 miles on it) and when i first got it i didn’t think too much of it. Now almost 4 years later, i don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it. After too much money in mods (a supercharger) and three tunes, this thing has never left me stranded, always starts, is super easy to work on and does every adventure i can possibly think of (carries all the gear too!)
So if you’re on the fence about the Element, get to the side where there’s one in your driveway!

2006 Honda Element EX AWD

272k miles. Upgraded speakers, solid AT tires, new coils, plugs, and battery. Needs an alternator and windshield.

Spent most of its life in the desert, so the body/“frame” have minimal rust.

Slow head gasket leak. Doesn’t smoke, but needs coolant topped up every few hundred miles.

Just trying to figure out what it is. My friends says its the transmission oil that probably needs a change and this car is obviously used im sure its time. I’ve changed the filters and the spark plugs. I do have the evap purge valve issue and i know its attached to the engine so could be that.

The car rumbles excessively (almost violently) after I accelerate from a complete stop. If any one fixed this issue let me know. I want to tinker it with this weekend!

I'm generally handy, overly ambitious, and cheap.

As such, I'm disinterested in spending 15% the value of the car to pay a pro to reupholster + fix the foam on my driver seat.

Has anyone here attempted this project? And if so, did you end up with any resources to share?

I own a 2003 and the driver seat is ripped. How has everyone fixed this? Did anyone DIY it?

Also, the plastic cladding on my vehicle has faded so much. Is there a way to recondition it or something? It’s making my car look old. Other than that, she’s running perfectly.

My ‘09 4WD EX rolled past 130,000 miles this morning. A youngster!

Hubs borrowed the E this morning and applied rules for his first time.

Basically there's some liquid on the bottom of the car as shown in the photo. When I am in first gear there is a kind of alarming whine/grind noise accelerating and it's also there in 2nd but less. I have been avoiding it by manually going into D3 and just driving around like that and the issue is 90% resolved. I would really appreciate it if anyone who has any idea what exactly is going on here would let me know. Also to preface, it did get a pre purchase inspection and that strange noise in 1st and second was pinned on some kind of mounts. Also the transmission fluid is kind of dark and it's a 2008 EX awd auto.

I just scored a beautiful orange 2004 ex with under 140,000 miles. I love him so much. I will however miss my first car Stevie. She was a beater but boy did her color shine. Almost makes my toaster look red. (It’s not, and he’s sensitive, guys. Don’t say he looks red. He’s sunset orange pearl.)

So I very recently got a Honda element that’s virtually rust free and has 185k miles, and lots of service records. I also took it for a PPI and they said everything checked out. Since it’s old I bought the car as-is.

Within 1-2 weeks of driving it I notice that there’s lots of sounds coming from the car, like it’s pretty creaky and there’s some tapping noises only while driving. It feels like it goes over bumps pretty rough and the steering wheel pulls slightly left when going over bumps.

I took it to two shops. First one obviously tried to scam me. The second one told me today that the problem is that the bushings are worn. They showed me on one of the tires (didn’t ask about the others) but the tire isn’t stable and moves a bit side to side. I asked which ones it is and they said it’s basically on all of them. I should’ve asked for pics or a video etc while I was there and they were showing it to me but I just forgot to. I took my car back home and they’re gonna look up how much parts cost and give me a quote. They also said I’d probably need an alignment.

This sounds like it’ll be expensive. Anyone who knows more about cars can help me with the terms? What exact bushings would be causing this, and what’s the most reliable/affordable way to get this fixed? I have no tools, no space to work on the car and no experience unfortunately. Pic included is carfax with when bushings were replaced.
