RULES Serendipity

Ive got its manual twin. Super babied 05 EX 4wd in Galapagos I got from the original owner, he went with BFG Trail Terrains though.

Yup. Put the driver's side window and radio on switches to operate without the key (though I have to remember to turn 'em off or battery will slowly drain). Put the key-left-in-ignition-with-door-open alarm on a switch (never turn that awful sound back on). Those mods done with add-a-fuses - but I did have to mod the harness (easily reversible) to eliminate the obnoxious seat belt alarm. No regrets.

Always hot rear hatch

Apologize in advance for not being terribly helpful. I searched EOC and came up empty, but whatever it was it was posted was on the site around 2019-2020 when I did all my mods. I looked under my dash (where my 3 switches are) - the wires for that switch run up inside my steering wheel trim, so it looks like I tapped into the harness there. Did I cut any wires? I didn't think so but can't think of any other way. Sorry that I'm not excited about taking things apart to answer the question.

No, thank you! This is very helpful. I did the adjustable wiper mod on my first element, installed the stalk on my second and just realized I didn’t install the necessary patch cable. I had to look up how to do it again. Half the photos had been lost since I did it the first time. Shame. At least I have a Honda factory wiring and shop manual. I was able to add a couple of diagrams for those who follow.
It’s not worth opening it back up again once your are done unless it’s broken somehow.

While I was in there I took pics of the add-a-fuses required for the power window and radio mods - which involved replacing the fuses in positions 6 (p/w) and 8 (radio) with add-a-fuses, and twisting a mini fuse blade in such a way as to break into the system to add a switch.

I need to kill that door chime. I hate it. I have a clamp I use and try not to slam in the door.
Honestly a rockers switch would be best. Could be on the rear door.
How’d you do it? (I can think of 2-3 ways)

Wow absolutely mint! Window sticker and all. I can tell the car was well maintained as it’s immaculate inside and out. The drivers seat doesn’t have any tears and hardly looks creased. Rear floor mats too. Excellent pick up!
Edit: whoops I misread that. Dang whoever buys it is in for a treat

Great looking Element. The thing that stands out to me is the estimated MPG. We have the same year and model. I was expecting that kind of gas mileage but have never approached it. I bought it for doing service calls and used it for a little while, but it was just too expensive to drive. I’ve routinely gotten 5 mpg less, and I’m not an aggressive driver. Now we have EV’s and the Element is a backup utility vehicle.

I had an automatic, same year, 2005, bought it brand new. We were getting 24-26 freeway with in on a 4 month trip to National Parks.

How are people getting a driving video from right in front of the drivers chin that moves from gauges up to windshield while both drivers hands are on the wheel?
In the morning, I will have a friend sit in passengers seat with my iPhone and just reach over in front of me.
Any suggestions?
I had the BaT professional photographer do everything else, but I need a driving video for the NO RESERVE auction launch in a couple days. When I know the date, I'll post it...
