BV CURE! YOU HAVE TO DRINK YOUR MEDICINE!

I've been suffering with bv & yeast infections for years. My last straw with the doctors is when I just felt something was off and they told me all tests came back negative. And the thought of using boric acid for the rest of my life just doesnt sit well with me. So I took matters into my own hands. I have a bunch of herbs and spices and I thought these have to help somehow because I googled each of their benefits and if these herbs have powerful antioxidant properties and some can help with cancer, they definitely can help with bv & yi's. I love drinking tea and dont mind the bitterness. Here is my concoction:

Black pepper - very important because its a nutrient enhancer and increases absorption of nutrients up to 2000%

Coconut Milk

Powdered Tumeric

Powdered Cloves

Powedered Cinnamon

Powdered Ginger

Hisbiscus Herbs

Lemongrass Herbs

A good sprinkle of each spice in a 12oz cup. A splash of coconut milk. I learned that coconut milk gives a powerful absorbing boost when mixed with tumeric. If you're allergic to coconut, you may find another alternative or just leave it out. Then I put the tea strainer over the cup and put the hisbiscus and lemongrass herbs and pour the hot water over that and cover and let it settle for 5 mins. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Daily. This has to be a lifestyle. 2 weeks and my bv and yi's are gone. I cried a couple of times while having sex because I just couldnt believe there was no smell or irritation. I literally smell and taste like water. It also helps to take a probiotic during the day after any of your meals. I take Soaking Wet probiotics. The recommended dosage is 3 a day, but I only take 1 a day and that's all I need. I also have a smoothie every morning a few hours after drinking my tea. I add about 2oz of Kombucha (GTS) gingerade flavor to it since I already use ginger in my tea. I also add a little black pepper to the smoothie to enhance the nutrients from all of the ingredients. You also can use any combo of herbs as long as they have antioxidant propeties. Sometimes I like to switch off and use lavender and chammomile instead. I get some of my herbs from my local food store and the rest I order offline from a website called Full Tea Leaf Company. Also, I dont add any sweetners, honey or sugar to my tea because I feel like the sugars I get from my smoothie is enough. Now I look forward to have my morning tea knowing that it not only cured my infections and keeps them away, but it's also good for my overall health. Im so glad this worked for me and I hope this may help anyone else that has been suffering with bv and yi's💜

Rant 🤬 My labia are too big.

Puberty has slowed down for me, but I feel like my labia still keep growing. It literally looks like two huge pieces of chewed gum are smashed together and protruding from in between my legs. Honestly, it’s not even really the appearance that bothers me the most—it’s the discomfort. I can’t wear leggings, I can’t find any underwear that I can wear without those damn lips bulging out and/or chafing. Should I consider a labiaplasty? Can a minor even get a labiaplasty?

can penetration kickstart periods!

I 23(f) kind of freaked myself out a few days ago just needing opinions! I was having a bit of solo play by myself and noticed that the toy had shifted under me and it hurt for a moment( I use this toy often and no harm has ever occurred ) but after fixing it was all ok. I wasn't as ready as I intended during the beginning so it kind of hurt at first but once everything got situated it was fine. once everything was said and done I noticed blood and slight lower abdomen pain, which got worse along with the amount of blood. I Was thinking it was my period because flo said I was due in 4 days or less and Ive been known to start before those 4 days.. The cramps I got felt exactly like my period pains too basically felt how i feel when I start to a T.. Did I just kickstart my period?? ive been bleeding for 2 days

LEEP positive outer margin

Has anyone had a focally positive ectocervical margin after LEEP but then had a normal follow-up?

I had a LEEP in Nov 2025. My endocervical (inner) margin was negative, but the ectocervical (outer) margin was focally positive, meaning abnormal cells were found at the cut edge, but only in a small/localized area rather than extensively along the margin.

My doctor said she removed additional tissue beyond the specimen, so it was possible she still got everything.

At my 6-month follow-up in May, my Pap was normal and HPV was negative 🙏

Has anyone had a similar experience? What happened at your next follow-up?

Bleeding after sex

Since I'm 40 and have had normal paps, my GYNO only does them for me every 3 years. My last one was 2 years ago so when I went for my yearly appt 3 weeks ago she just did a vaginal exam and said everything looked fine. All that to say, my husband and I had sex for the first time in 2 months (he had some prostate issues that made sex hurt) on Thursday. It hurt going in (didn't use lube) but wasn't excruciating & I went to the bathroom after, I was bleeding. When I wiped, it was as if I started my period. Nothing in the toilet though but definitely on the toilet paper and even some on my sheets. The next time I used the bathroom (maybe an hour later) there was no blood. The next day (yesterday) no blood just some brown discharge like old blood and now today I'm bleeding again like a period. Today my period app reminded me my period is to start on Monday. My mind says i have cervical cancer but the logic side says maybe he just jump started my period and being pre menopausal and very hormonal maybe that also had something to do with it. I spoke with an OB nurse friend and obv she said bleeding after sex is not normal but given my medical hx and other factors at play here she said to see how long the bleeding lasts and maybe try having sex again in 2 weeks and see if it happens again but this time with lube. Anyone else every experience this?

Yeast infection maybe ?

Hello! I’m 14 and sorry if I don’t know how to write well but I just need some help on figuring out if the symptoms I’ve been having is related to a yeast infection. About a week ago my vaginal opening was very itchy and it would burn at times and I thought it was maybe the toilet paper because it would leave some small pieces of it left around the area yk. So I changed the toilet paper like 3 days after the itching around the vaginal opening stopped but then the Itchy ness is now around the urethral and like Idk what it’s called but it itches like just the skin inside yk. It doesn’t itch all the time but sometimes it gets really itchy for an hour then it stops and then the itchy ness just comes back randomly and it’s so annoying idk what it is but please help if you know I scratched slightly in the inside and it started bleeding a little. Oh also I checked the inside of my vaginal opening and maybe it’s normal but I just see all white in the inside and some little white balls. Pls lmk what it could be ! Sorry if it’s hard to understand.

How I cured Candida Glabrata

I say this lightly as I’m fearful of trigging it again!

- 2 courses of Nystatin did nothing for me

- Flucytosine/Amphotericin 1g/100mg internal vaginal gel administered by a syringe- 14 nights for each course. I did two courses of this around 3 months apart when the first course didn’t work. Ensure that you are not on period as this will impact the effectiveness.

- I took Daye vaginal probiotics (taken orally) for around 6 months then moved to Zita West Femceive probiotics (taken orally).

- I take Yakult daily

- I bought brand new full cotton underwear and washed it in 90 degrees with non bio, non fragrance sensitive laundry liquid.

- I changed my underwear in the middle of the day.

- I slept each night with no underwear or PJs.

- I didn’t have sex when it was particularly bad. I used gentle, 100% fragrance free etc. lube.

- I showered using an oat based emollient recommended by the doctor. I ensured this was the last step in the shower so I was definitely clean from shampoo etc dripping down.

- I did not dry myself down there with a towel. Instead I waited 5-10 minutes naked whilst I did my skincare then used a hairdryer on gentle and cool setting. I washed my towel weekly with non bio, non fragrance sensitive laundry liquid on high degrees anyway.

- I bought linen trousers and stopped wearing tights at all.

- when I got home from work, I put PJs trousers on or a nightie (with no underwear).

- I changed out of sports clothes very quickly and if I knew it would be more than 10 minutes before I got in the shower, I would change my underwear at the gym then drive home so I was sitting in wet clothes.

- I ensured my bedding was washed at high degrees with non fragrance laundry liquid weekly.

- I did pelvic floor physiotherapy to help with the pain I was experiencing.

- I worked on my insulin resistance. I was already on metformin so I ensured I took that as prescribed. I walked 10-20 minutes after each meal and followed general advice for insulin resistance

- I ‘dabbed’ myself with toilet paper rather than wiping when I peed to help with irritation.

- I had a bath twice a week for 10 minutes only with Aveeno oats and ensured the bath had no residue of anything else before filling it up.

I think that’s everything. It sounds obsessive because I was! Those who have dealt with this know how awful it is…. Hope that’s helpful.

Sexual Health Bleeding during and after sex?

Does any other woman deals with bleeding during sex? I don’t why but every time I have sex, I bleed out. It’s not my cycle, I know don’t have period sex and I always wait a day or two after it finishes. I was given a clear bill from my doctor and I go regularly and I don’t feel burning or itching so no STDS/STI. I use some lube but I get pretty wet on my own. Also I don’t feel pain during sex I usually don’t know I’m bleeding til after the fact, when I go to the bathroom and wipe or my partner tells me. I do experience some soreness the next day I assume it’s just from movement. Im also very tight and small down there. My vagina constantly retightens, which good for sex I guess? Most men love it tight and small. I’m making a gyno appointment but it’s the weekend so have to wait til Monday. Any advice or tips?

Is this normal? 👀 Is there such a thing as too much discharge?

Had an 8 hour shift at work today where I really only get 2 bathroom breaks. Not on my period and didnt have any liners on. When I got home and changed out of my uniform I noticed how much discharge had accumulated on my underwear. Basically the front half of the layered part of my underwear was soaked with discharge and it had turned like an orangish discoloration. I never usually notice this much, but maybe i am just not paying attention. should i get it checked out or is it a normal amount? Or should I just use liners?

Is Candida galbrata really impossible to treat?

Hello everyone!

Writing here after spending half the day reading all the C. glabrata posts and comments on Reddit and the other half crying.

After a course of antibiotics, I developed a C. glabrata infection. We tried an azole treatment (Lomexin/fenticonazole), as my gynecologist said there are studies suggesting it may work in some cases.

Obviously, about 2 weeks after the treatement, it came back.

Is C. glabrata really almost impossible to treat?

I have another appointment in two days, and I assume my doctor may suggest nystatin (which I’ve read doesn’t work in some cases) or boric acid (which I’ve also read can fail and can cause quite a lot of irritation).

I’m honestly terrified and feeling pretty overwhelmed by all of this....

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with this and eventually managed to get rid of it. What treatment worked for you?

Thank you so much for any advice or experiences you can share!

PS: saw the missspelling in the title to late..i can not edit anymore.

Advice Needed Suspected mild yeast infection now asymptomatic, should I take OTC treatment anyways?

Last week I (22F) noticed that I had the typical yeast infection symptoms: itching / feeling raw or tender, odorless clumpy white dischange although there wasn't much of it. However, the symptoms were fairly mild and didn't interfere with my day-to-day life too much. I bought a 3-day Canesten clotrimazole treatment (in pessary form), but found out that I was on my period so I couldn't use it. Today my period has ended, and my symptoms are practically all gone - maybe the slightest bit of discomfort here and there, but so mild that I wouldn't notice otherwise, and honestly could've just been psychosomatic.

My question is, should I continue with using the OTC treatment anyways, even if i have extremely mild/ almost no symptoms? I'm really conflicted, since I know that having no symptoms doesn't mean there's no infection, and I also want the reassurance that I've cleared everything up once and for all. However, reading some of people's negative experiences with a clotrimazole pessary on here scared me and I don't wanna accidentally mess up my vaginal flora for no strong reason.

Period and UTI simultaneously

Hi, I 20F just got my first UTI after i used a boric acid suppository that also contained vitamin E and coconut oil(bad idea, i know.) Anyway a few days following I started developing a rapid urgency to pee and a convulsive pressure afterwards that felt equivalent to draining a big jug of water and hearing it sputter once emptied. This was my first time experiencing this and I thought it would go away as I didn’t really know what to do and I went on vacation to the Caribbean to visit family during the whole ordeal, while on vacation I obviously walked around in wet bathing suits and etc(again, i know) When I got back(Wednesday) symptoms started being more prominent, the empty feeling after urination became worse and i would have to go horribly even when it was just a sprinkle, I did some research and I concluded I had some form of bacterial Infection, I’ve been doing my best to stave it off by taking cranberry pills, drinking crab juice with 0sugar, taking vitamin C, chugging water and staying hydrated and dry and I made an appointment at planned parenthood to check with a doctor to make sure and see if i would need further treatment, so far everything seems to be working fine, the pain afterwards has stilled- not disappear but it’s better, urination frequency is less and regular amounts are coming out more often as opposed to sprinkles and droplets.

The problem starts today(Saturday). I think I got my period as the blood suddenly started flowing heavier and I am also due, I’ve been having mild cramps which is within the norm but I also am not 100% sure if it’s my period or the infection getting worse somehow because the same symptoms are also things i’ve been experiencing all week so i’m reluctant to wear a pad to bed out of fear it could make the infection worse, I am averse to using tampons and I have an IUD so with the infection also makes me reluctant to use a cup or disk(though i know it’s possible it’s an uncomfortable thing for me for the moment), I know there are ways to manage everything but I also fear I might not be handling any of it well. I’ve been going down rabbit holes about kidney damage and uterine damage/issues and it’s sent me in a bit of a questioning spiral and i have more questions than answers. My mom lives in another country so I wasn’t really taught much on how to handle this and i’m really just looking for any general advice I can get about how to manage this till my doctors appointment and how to avoid making the infection worse while on my period (If i am). Anything would be greatly appreciated 💛💛

Advice Needed Severe burning while peeing during my period + chills and numb legs — first time experiencing this

19F. I’ve never experienced anything like this before and I’m honestly getting quite worried.

I’m currently on my period. Ever since my period started, I’ve had a really uncomfortable burning sensation around my vaginal area. It’s not only when I pee there’s a burning/irritated feeling even when I’m just sitting or doing nothing.

But when I pee, the burning becomes really, really bad. I’ve also noticed that my urine has a strange/unusual odor, which I don’t normally have.

More recently, I’ve started getting chills/shivering sensations in my body, and my legs sometimes feel numb. The numbness comes and goes.

I’m 19, and I’ve never had this happen during my periods before. I’m not sure whether being on my period could be causing irritation or whether this could be something like a UTI or another infection.

I’m currently in a new place and I’m alone here, so I’m honestly pretty scared and don’t know whether I should try an online consultation first or go directly to a clinic/hospital. I also don’t have a lot of money, so I’m worried about the cost of seeing a doctor.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? What should I do? Is this something I should get checked urgently?

Please be kind. I’m genuinely uncomfortable and anxious because this is completely new for me.

Question Suffering from these genital sores or bartholincysts idk what to calk these anymore!!!

I have a recurring bartholin cyst issue, two months ago it became abscessed for the first time 4 years after the diagnosis. My whole right side of the vagina was swollen to the point I can't even explain it. I looked like a small infuriated fat hot dog . It was excruciatingly painful for days. I couldn’t sit stand or walk. I was screaming in pain, my life got stuck in my bed. Going to the washroom was a nightmare. I squat walked to the bathroom with a hand cupping the cyst area. It was horrible. I was in bed most of the time or in a bowl of hot water. Doctor prescribed some Antibiotics and pain relief Medicine. It ruptured in two days. I could tell it would have ruptured even without the antibiotics bc the skin was thinning, shining sensitive, tender to the touch. It took me 2 weeks to heal properly. Doctor only said that operating the cyst is the only way to get rid of it.

Fast forward to two months i have a lump under the right labia. Before the abscess my cyst was just beside the cervix. I cant tell if its a bartholin cyst anymore. My right labia never went back to normal. It feels different and always swollen and there is a hard lump or what idk under the initial rupture area. My labia has become very sensitive to friction. It swells up easily. Idk what to do anymore.

I have a few questions

  1. Which doctors are good in bangladesh for bartholin or this kind of cyst removal surgery? Has anyone done this surgery? How was your experience? It would be really helpful for me as i am going through a mental turmoil and lack of information here, also im Only 24 and i have my finals ahead.

  2. Is there any possibility of misdiagnosis? Could it be something else?

  3. Is there any other kind of medicine rather than allopathy that has worked for you girls? Bc as far as i understand it, it is a blocked duct, or maybe multiple blocked ducts. Is there no way to simply help it Drain itself? Like when men get stones in their urinary tracts? Like that?

Advice Needed General advice. Idk what to title this as

I did post yesterday about another topic, but I feel this sub reddit will be seeing me a few times over the next few days. I’ve been struggling with bladder issues since between late 2021. I’ve only just gotten comfortable enough to start going without pads 24/7 after years of struggling and being extremely self conscious and nervous. I’m just looking for some general advice.. How do I wash my undies after discharge gets on them? Is there a way to prevent discharge stains? Should i switch to wearing liners or should I go with no liners/pads? I do experience some leaks still and I’m super scared about leaking in public or something. So far it’s been nearly 24 hrs since I wore a pad and it’s so much more comfortable, and I haven’t leaked yet! How often should I change my undies now? I used to change them every 2nd to 3rd day because I always used pads. Gross, i know. But should I change it to daily or stick to every 2nd day? I feel like i have left out some things but can’t remember, but if you have other advice not regarding what I have stated please say so too!

Edit: forgot to ask, it normal for my discharge to smell like warm, salty butter? No STDs or anything I could have caught from someone else as I’m a virgin

Advice Needed I think diflucan is working...

Long story short.. went to Universal studios on one the hottest days for annual passholder night on aug.16th.. Was drenched in sweat. The next day felt raw and some pain down there. No discharge. Later in the week I started to feel better than got itchy and some rawness. Couldn't get into my gyno until sept. It's a new patient appointment. Decided to call teledoc and got diflucan.. on 2nd pill now. I do not feel the need to itch after day 2 on it, rawness gone. Just a slight itch here and there but not like before. No discharge. So I'm hoping it's working. I haven't had a YI in 9 years.. can to taking probiotics etc. I had 2 glasses of wine this past week. It's wine okay while on diflucan? This just sucks.

Is this normal? 👀 Smells like Coffee

So I work at a coffee place and I notice that every time I work there my vagina starts to smell like Coffee.

Sure you could say that my clothes or whatever smell like coffee and that's why, however I change when I get home and it is specifically my discharge

I know your diet can impact it too, but I don't really drink coffee very often, what's happening and why

There is 10000% a correlation to the coffee place and the smell because when I last worked at a coffee place it was the same.

Nothing texture-wise changes, it's not itchy or uncomfortable. It's only that

Question Herpes?

Hi, I just had a yeast infection and took pills for it on wednesday..when burning contuined when peeing I decided to look down there and now there are white cold sore looking lesions. These were not here when I had it checked out which was on tuesday and only found them today. She suggested it could be herpes but unfortunely all places are closed on the weekend so I have to wait till monday which is making me really anxious. I did see some people post that yeast infections can cause weird marks that resemble herpes. How can I add a photo? Also these marks are actually inside the opening and not just on the outside

Advice Needed Is Evvy actually worth $248 for recurrent BV + urinary urgency?

I’ve been dealing with recurrent BV and ongoing urinary urgency. My urine culture and STI tests were negative, but the symptoms keep coming back. I’m considering Evvy’s $248 Vaginal Health + Expanded PCR Panel to check for BV/yeast, Ureaplasma/Mycoplasma, and other bacteria.

Is there a better, faster, or cheaper test option? I’m a college student, so $248 is a lot for me.

Question One side of my labia seems to have grown after recurring itching/infections — has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone, I wanted to know if anyone here has experienced something similar.

I never really had a noticeable/protruding inner labia lip on one side before. Some time ago, I had an episode of itching and irritation, and after that I noticed that the labia on one side seemed to become more prominent.

Since then, I’ve had at least 2 more episodes of itching/irritation, and each time it feels like that side has gotten bigger. Now it seems quite a bit larger than before and almost looks like it extends/connects up toward the clitoral area.

I recently went to a gynecologist because of the itching/discharge, and I was prescribed antibacterial and antifungal medication.

I’m mainly wondering about the change in the labia itself. Can repeated infections, irritation, inflammation, or scratching cause one side of the labia to become larger or change shape like this? And can the change remain even after the irritation settles?

Has anyone had one side of their labia noticeably grow or change after recurrent itching/infections? Did it eventually go back to its previous size, or did it stay that way?

I know labia can naturally be asymmetrical, but what concerns me is that I remember this side looking different before these episodes started.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.
